Abstract: A portable spray misting device including an internally hollowed body capable of holding a volume of fluid to be dispensed. The body includes a substantially bottom facing surface and a contoured upper body terminating in an upwardly extending and interiorly open neck which defines a first port having a first diameter. A spray applicating head for issuing a mist spray of said fluid is secured to said open neck by means of an integrally formed collar and a portable fan unit including a plurality of rotatable blades may be secured atop the spray applicating head. An interiorly open and annular rim extends from a specified location of the bottom facing surface and defines a second port with a diameter greater than the first diameter of the first port.

Abstract: A foam dispenser utilizes a deformable reservoir, a foamable fluid and air or other gas; a discharge device and an arrangement for producing foam that includes a plurality of mesh screens. When the dispenser is operated, air from inside the dispenser is mixed with the fluid to produce foam. The dispenser employs a shaped and resilient deformable seal for use in quickly recharging the container with air used in the creation of foam. The dispenser also advantageously employs an integrally molded swirl manifold to create a foam of excellent quality and consistency.

Abstract: A spray can remote control has a body holding and registering the can at a raised top wall portion, and a control mechanism including an actuator guided parallel to a nozzle axis of movement, a branched flexible lanyard for coupling a pull cord, flexible branches of the lanyard connected through a pair of guide rods to opposite ends of the actuator, whereby downward movement of the coupling produces corresponding downward movement of the guide rods and the actuator member without imparting side force to the nozzle button. Respective helical compression springs on the guide rods upwardly bias the actuator member, and stationary guides below the guide rods prevent side forces on the guide rods. The device also has an adjustable handle member, and a pair of sheaves for offsetting the lanyard to facilitate precise control with minimal frictional drag.

  • Patent number: 6446882
Abstract: The invention is a trigger sprayer comprising a tubular nozzle bushing and a nozzle cap rotatable on the bushing. The nozzle cap has an end wall with a first swirl chamber formed on the rear face thereof offset from the axis. Passages to a second chamber are diametrically opposite the first chamber. Both chambers have orifices directed out the front of the cap. The first orifices is surrounded by a foaming sleeve. The second orifice is positioned forward of the first orifice so that the spray cone emanating from the second orifice does not hit the foaming sleeve. The cap can be rotated to connect liquid from the delivery tube to the swirl chamber for one or the other orifices.

  • Patent number: 6443368
Abstract: A gardening applicator for efficiently delivering liquid chemicals to selected vegetation is disclosed. The applicator includes a wind guard chamber through which a stream of emitted liquid chemicals may be directed in a predetermined path along a central axis of the wind guard chamber. The wind guard chamber is preferably tube shaped over a predetermined length and can incorporate a diffuser screen or mesh which extends transversely across the predetermined path at the exit end of the wind guard chamber such that the liquid chemicals are finely dispersed upon passing through the diffuser screen. Actuation of a pressure activated pump head may provide a pressurized stream of liquid chemicals through the wind guard chamber and onto the diffuser screen where it is dispersed in a uniform circular pattern onto selected vegetation. The pressure activated pump head may conveniently be connectable to a liquid chemical reservoir such as a generally commercially available bottle with a standard sized threaded opening.
