  • Patent number: 8979000
Abstract: In the ultrasonic atomization method, a liquid is ultrasonically oscillated in an atomization chamber 4 and a liquid column P is projected in carrier gas to thus atomize the liquid into mists, the carrier gas carrying the atomized mists outwardly of the atomization chamber 4; the carrier gas is forcibly sucked from a lateral point being away at a distance (d1) of 5 cm or less from a center axis m of the liquid column P and thereby a gas flow is blown across the liquid column P; the mists are separated away from the liquid column P by means of the blown gas flow; and such separated mists are transferred outwardly of the atomization chamber 4 by means of the carrier gas.

  • Patent number: 8622321
Abstract: Device (100) for preserving and serving, from a bottle, by-the-glass liquid that can be affected by oxygen such as wine, by pumping pressurized inert gas in a bottle (40?). The device comprises a coupling portion (10) adapted to couple with a pressurized gas supply, a central body (20), and a fastening portion (30) to the bottle (40?), in particular, to a bottle neck (40). The central body (20) provides an inlet duct (21) of the pressurized gas, associated with an inlet valve (24), and a delivery duct (22) of the liquid, associated with a delivery valve (25), which draws the liquid from the bottle (40?) and brings it to a delivery mouth (23). In particular at least one among the inlet valve (24) and the delivery valve (25) is a pilot valve, which is piloted by the pressure of the inert gas. Furthermore, a pilot channel (26), (29) is provided communicating with a pilot port (27), (28) present in the coupling portion (10) and communicating with the pilot valve.

  • Patent number: 6997396
Abstract: An airbrush as used for a media delivery system comprises an air pressurizer, a power source and a media reservoir integrated into a single hand held device. The air pressurizer comprises a pump and motor assembly delivering pressurized air by way of first and second air conduits to a nozzle. The media is stored in a detachable reservoir housed within the device and provided with a liquid conduit for conducting the media to the nozzle. Upon actuation of a spray button, the pump and motor assembly causes a stream of air to flow through the first and second air conduits and past an opening in the media conduit. Thus, a negative pressure is induced into the media conduit. The negative pressure draws liquid from the reservoir through the media conduit where it is entrained within the air stream as minute droplets and exits the body of the airbrush through a nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5150822
Abstract: An apparatus for dispersing an active ingredient, such as a fumigant, fertilizer or room freshener in which the active ingredient is placed in a sample cylinder and a pressurized solvent/propellent is subsequently introduced from a source. The solvent/propellent expands to adopt a liquid phase and a gaseous phase. The liquid phase serves to absorb the active ingredient and the gaseous phase serves to propel the borne active ingredient out of the apparatus through a dispensing outlet where further expansion takes place and the active ingredient is dispersed in a fog or mist. Flow restrictors create a pressure differential between the sample cylinder outlet and a by-pass portion to enable total absorption of the active ingredient. The flow restrictors and conduits for the system are contained in a mixing head for the sample cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4515310
Abstract: An improved spraying apparatus utilizes a novel method of withdrawing sprayable liquid from a pressurized vessel at a controlled rate, whereby the discharge rate of the spraying apparatus may be preset or selectively controlled within a desired range. Control of the rate at which liquid discharges from the apparatus is effected by pre-setting or regulating the effective size of one or more gas entry openings provided in a liquid withdrawal conduit which depends into the pressure vessel. The gas entry openings communicate with an upper end region of the vessel wherein a quantity of pressurized carrier gas is maintained. In one embodiment, all carrier gas must flow through the vessel before being discharged by the apparatus. In another embodiment, a restricted flow of carrier gas is combined with a mixture of gas and liquid issuing from the pressure vessel for generating a highly atomized, fog-like spray.
