Abstract: A special container vessel and associated compatible spray for dispensing hot liquids in spray form such as melted butter, margarine, peanut oil, and the like; more specifically, for spraying popcorn uniformly.
Abstract: An improved garden/agricultural sprayer nozzle having a short mixing chamber in front of a conventional fog-mist nozzle for the purpose of mixing a gravity-fed strong solution with plain water-fog-mist to create a finished spray mixture as it leaves the nozzle hole area. The plain water fog-mist is produced by ordinary hose-water pressure through a regular swirl-type diaphragm nozzle. Mixture with the strong solution takes place in the short mixing chamber as the plain fog mist emerges from the sprayer nozzle where it comes in contact with the strong solution flowing around the nozzle hole. The flow of strong solution is facilitated by a shallow depression or groove in bottom of the short mixing chamber close to and encircling the nozzle hole. The strong solution is gravity fed through a series of nipples and hose from a tilting fruit jar on a parallel arm of a contraption supporting the nozzle assembly and the solution jar.
Abstract: A portable fuel and oil dispenser for servicing chain saws and other portable engine driven equipment, includes a compact carrier for side-by-side containers holding different fluids such as fuel and oil. Pump assemblies which effect fluid transfer during an upstroke thereof and have features causing a straight line lifting of a pump piston rod extend into each of the containers for fluid transfer therefrom and respectively include leak protection features such as relief ports for backflow of fluid from the pump assembly into the container when fluid transfer is not required. Flexible delivery conduits such as hoses are connected to the pump assemblies for dispensing the fluids and remote ends thereof have nozzles with a check valve at an extreme tip end to prevent seepage and dripping of the fluid from the nozzle. Further, to prevent inadvertent operation of the pump assemblies, handles therefor are foldable and collapse downwardly and out of the way against the containers.
Abstract: A portable power operated spray apparatus in which a generally cylindrical tank is supported on a saddle including a flat base and upstanding end plates shaped to receive the cylindrical side wall of the tank. Straps are welded to the end plates and extend around the tank and have upturned ends at the top of the tank spaced apart and connected by a tie bolt to provide carrying handles for the spray apparatus. An electric motor-pump unit is mounted on the base below the tank and arranged to be operated from a vehicle electrical power system to deliver chemicals from the tank through a flexible hose to a spray head.
Abstract: A hand-pressurized compressed air sprayer includes a handle comprising a grasping portion remote from the sprayer tank and adapted to be held by the user and a connecting portion connecting the grasping portion to the tank. The handle is movable between a first generally vertical position wherein the grasping portion extends over the tank cap so as to enable carrying of the sprayer by the handle, a second stable position wherein the grasping portion is disposed to one side of the first position of the grasping portion and laterally beyond the cap so as to secure the tank against rotation without impeding removal of the cap therefrom for filling purposes, and a third stable position wherein the grasping portion is disposed to the other side of the first position of the grasping portion and laterally beyond the operative path of the pump handle so as to stabilize the tank against vertical lifting or tipping without impeding movement of the pump handle and while providing a support for the user.
Abstract: The disclosed airbrush has an elongated body formed in one piece, as by a molding from plastics material, having an internal cylindrical bore defining a cavity in which other elements are contained. A carrier member assembled within and sealed for a portion of its length to the cylindrical bore supports the point of a needle at a predetermined distance from the forward end of the body and has an internal passageway for the paint. The cylindrical bore is closed at its forward end by a cap threadably attached to the body, inside which is threadably secured a jet through which the point of the needle extends. The carrier member is shaped to provide, in association with the internal bore of the body, a passage for air to the cap and jet region of the airbrush. Adjustment of the longitudinal position of the cap on the body moves the jet with respect to the stationary needle to provide regulation of the amount of paint flow.
Abstract: A hand held atomizer washing device comprises a housing having a large reservoir for containing water and a small flexible walled reservoir mounted inside the larger reservoir for containing a liquid detergent, a hand pump incorporated in the handle of the device for pressurizing the large chamber and simultaneously therewith pressurizing the smaller chamber, a pair of valves with a common actuator member controls communication of either the water or soap, or both, by way of a spray nozzle.
Abstract: A universal spray can holder is longitudinally adjustable to securely hold an aerosol spray can and features an integral trigger mechanism to actuate the can valve. A built-in safety hood protects the spray can operator from missprayings, and from inhaling either can contents or can propellant.
Abstract: An airbrush includes a body at the forward end of the airbrush and a plume at the rear end, the plume being for balancing the airbrush and supporting it in the user's hand. A source of fluid is included in the airbrush to be dispersed therefrom, and a needle valve through which fluid from the source flows is mounted on the body portion and the source of fluid is also connected to the needle valve. Air in an air passage passes over the needle valve to create a partial vacuum thereover to draw fluid from the source of fluid out of the needle valve and into the stream of air and out of the airbrush. An air valve on the body portion controls the flow of air through the air passage. An air supply provides air to the air passage from a source of air, and the air supply is mounted to the air passage on the plume so that the air valve is spaced from the air supply mounting to minimize the distance from the air valve to the needle valve to decrease the pressure drop between them.
Abstract: An adjustable aerosol can holder which securely engages a can by its upper rim and bottom and has a trigger-operated actuator for depressing the firing head of the can to fire same.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for home production and application of fixed nitrogen fertilizer uses an arc discharge process to ionize nitrogen and oxygen and form nitrogen oxides. These nitrogen oxides are injected into water supplied by a garden hose to a yard or garden. The device is compact, economical and requires no raw materials except air to produce the fixed nitrogen. The device may operate on ordinary 60 cycles, 110 volt power.

Abstract: A portable atomizer includes a housing in which a battery and a motor powerable by the battery are mounted. A receptacle for liquids and a vacuum pump operatively connected to the receptacle are also mounted within the housing. The motor shaft carries a bladed fan for rotation therewith externally of the housing and a sector gear engagable with a gear on the vacuum pump so that the pump can be cyclically actuated to discharge liquid into the path of the fan.
Abstract: A hose-end dispenser device including a container with an outlet opening, a handle extending along the container adjacent the opening, a rigid tube for carrier fluid flow overlying the handle and the opening and having insulating means thereon along the handle, a fluid connection from the container into the tube through the opening of the container, and a discharge means at one end of the tube. Preferred embodiments are characterized by radially extending thermally non-conductive fins on the rigid tube to form the insulating means, and/or a foaming nozzle of particular configuration forming the discharge means.
Abstract: A tool designed to carry a spray canister and to enable spraying at a distance from and controlled by the user, which tool includes an arm adapted to removably receive a spray canister and means for activating the spray mechanism in the canister as desired by the user.
Abstract: A portable self-contained pressure apparatus including a pressurized tank releasably fastened on a backpack carrier for carrying the tank on the back of a user during operation thereof while a handle attachment on the tank and backpack carrier assembly allows them to be manually carried to the point of use. A line pressure control and flexible hose coupling assembly couples the tank pressure to an air pressure responsive load device herein shown as a hand-held spray gun with a feed hopper for applying a texture coating to walls. The line pressure control reduces the tank pressure and affords selective pressure ranges as well as on-off pressure control to the spray gun. The line pressure control and flexible hose coupling assembly are detachable from the pressurized tank when not in use and carried in the feed hopper.
