  • Patent number: 10676051
Abstract: Power is supplied and a communication path secured by connecting various accessories to branch lines, each of which branches from a main line included in backbone structures. Control of power distribution and the like is implemented by communication between higher-level control units arranged in a smart power supply box, for example, and lower-level control units arranged in area drivers, for example. A switching circuit is arranged at a connection location between the main lines and the branch lines, and is automatically switched such that the terminals to be connected are coordinated. Specifications such as the current of multiple terminals on the power supply side are commonly fixed, and the power to be distributed is controlled by switching the number of terminals to be used. Component standardization and a reduction in part numbers are made easier. The connection position can be freely changed.

  • Patent number: 6920749
Abstract: A multi-function spray nozzle for engine applications useful as a cooling device to introduce a fluid into the fluid stream of the engine, and as a cleaning device to introduce a fluid to clean internal components of the engine. The nozzle includes a multi-layered arrangement of etched plates defining flow paths for the first and second fluids. Non-radial feed slots direct the first fluid into a cylindrical swirl chamber. The swirling fluid exits the swirl chamber through a spray orifice or a prefilmer, depending on whether the nozzle is configured as a simplex or prefilmer nozzle. Other non-radial feed slots direct the second fluid inward, downstream of the first fluid, to create a fine dispersion of droplets for fluid stream cooling purposes. During cleaning, only the first fluid is introduced through the nozzle, which results in a larger droplet size suitable for cleaning purposes of the internal components of the engine.

Abstract: A laminated array of pressure swirl atomizers forms spray plate that produces a fine mist or spray of liquid. The atomizers may be arrayed in a custom manner that may be made application specific for greater efficiency. The spray plate is typically formed of a plurality of laminated plates. In a preferred embodiment, a plate adjacent to a fluid reservoir provides an array of aperture sets, each aperture set having two or three apertures that allow liquid to pass from the pressurized reservoir through the first layer. The second plate provides a corresponding array of swirlers, each swirler providing at least two swirl feed ports to tangentially project liquid into the swirl chambers contained in a third plate. A fourth plate provides a corresponding array of discharge apertures, which release the liquid in an atomized state.

Abstract: A gas burner assembly for a poultry house heater having a head that is fabricated from a metal stamping process. The gas burner has a venturi tube which extends between a burner orifice and a burner head. The burner head is manufactured from a top plate and a bottom plate. The top and bottom plates define about forty upper half and lower half burner ports wherein the lower half ports of the bottom plate are in registry with the upper half ports in the top plate to define the ports for the gas burner. The interior of the head is shaped to form a chamber around the junction with the venturi tube having a height greater than said ports, and the interior surface of the head is smooth and free of sharp edges. The top and bottom plates are mechanically connected by a series of tabs and slots formed on the top and bottom plates.

Abstract: An air pre-heating apparatus useable for pre-heating air supplied to one or more hot melt adhesive dispensing nozzles mounted on an adhesive supply manifold. Air is supplied from an air supply inlet on an outer portion of an outer heating member to an air supply outlet on an inner heating member having a heater therein. The outer heating member formed of a plurality of laminated plates having one or more air flow paths, which include preferably a serpentine air flow path portion that increases the residence time of the air therein. The air is supplied through the apparatus against a decreasing temperature gradient whereby heat is increasingly added thereto before the air is supplied to the nozzles. The apparatus is preferably thermally isolated from the manifold to permit maintaining the pre-heating apparatus at a temperature different than a temperature of the manifold.

Abstract: The dispenser dispenses and spreads measured quantities of granular materials over a relatively wide area. A plurality of individual measurement chambers are distributed throughout a disc or rectilinear panel which is moved relative to other discs or panels with similarly shaped and spaced holes to first cover the inlet to the chambers to prevent unwanted leakage of material from the interior of the container, and to then open the outlet to each of the chambers to dispense material. A deflector is positioned below the dispenser outlets to spread the dispersed materials over an even wider area. The dispenser is used advantageously to spread seasonings and other food materials onto spread-out food items such as french fries and popcorn, large kettles and vats, etc.

  • Patent number: 5803371
Abstract: An injection nozzle for blowing air or injecting solvents reduces noise level and facilitates cleaning of injection passages. The injection nozzle includes a nozzle body provided with an opening and an inlet passage communicating with the opening. A plurality of grooves are provided on top and bottom sides of the nozzle body respectively. The nozzle body is also provided with upper and lower cover members, which can be selectively opened or closed. When the cover members are closed, an expansion chamber is defined by the opening and injection passages are defined by the grooves. The fluid to be injected from the inlet passage is expanded once in the expansion chamber and is then distributed through the injection passages for injection. Such expansion and contraction produces an effect of reducing noise level at the time of injection. Furthermore, the insides of the expansion chamber and the injection passages can be cleaned with ease by opening the cover members.

Abstract: A reactor tube for supercritical water oxidation is designed to supply a thin, continuous layer of water along the inner surface of the reaction zone by a wall lining formed of laminated platelets individually etched and superimposed to form an array of engineered fluid passages through the wall. Each passage includes a flow metering channel of closely controlled configuration to impose a preselected level of resistance to water flowing through it, plus a distribution section which distributes the water emerging from the flow metering channel over the length of a slot-shaped exit port. The exit port is arranged in conjunction with neighboring exit ports in an array over the inner surface of the reactor such that the emerging water forms a continuous film over the surface, thereby protecting the surface from corrosion and salts deposition from the supercritical reaction medium.
