Abstract: A button assembly that includes a button and a removable screw is provided. A method of attaching a button to a garment is provided. The method includes a step of placing a portion of the garment between the button and a removable screw, a step of penetrating the portion of the garment with the removable screw such that the removable screw is engaged with the garment, and a step of engaging the removable screw with the button.

Abstract: A tag useful for being applied to a first item, such as a sock, as an indication that the item is intended to be used with a second tagged item, such as a matching sock in a pair of socks. The tag has a first end portion, a second end portion, a flexible intermediate portion extending between the first and second end portions, and a latching mechanism. The flexible intermediate portion is movable between first and second operative positions wherein the first and second end portions are spaced apart in the first operative position and are adjacent in the second operative position. The latching mechanism is coupled to the first and second portions and is adapted to maintain the first and second end portions in the second operative position. In one embodiment, the tag is clipped and latched onto a sock in the second operative position.

Abstract: A system includes a foldable dry erase board forming a continuous surface area for writing thereon. The dry erase board includes a first panel foldably attached to a second panel about a pivot joint. The method includes creating the continuous dry erase marker board surface with the first panel and the second panel and folding the first panel onto the second panel about the pivot joint extending partially through a thickness of the board.

Abstract: An assembly for axial fixation of at least one element having an opening formed therein to an article. The assembly includes an anchoring protrusion attached to the article, which includes a distal end and a neck portion, and at least one locking component having a bore disposed therein, the locking component having at least a portion which is at least one of flexible and elastic. The anchoring protrusion extends through the opening in the element and through the bore of the locking component. An overlap region between the opening of the element and the bore of the locking component, is substantially equal to the diameter of the neck portion, such that the element and the at least a portion of the locking component form a locking unit.

Abstract: Disclosed is a two part device for the use of shaping and styling garments such as t-shirts. The bottom device is a solid plastic unit which is rigid on the outside edge and gets thinner towards the inside of the unit forming the plurality of members which, because of the thinness of the plastic, the members become flexible. The inner plurality of integrally formed flexible inner members are spaced apart with an opening that allows the garment fabric to be pulled through and held securely in place. The top device, a solid unit made of elastomeric plastic, fits over top of the bottom device and snaps in place to hide the garment fabric and add style to the garment. The top device is not needed to hold the garment fabric in place but rather is used as a decorative unit to add style to the garment.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a thin, low thickness snap for use, for example, in a heart rate monitor belt. The snap can be integrated or built directly in to a heart rate monitor belt. Furthermore, the heart rate monitor belt can be integrated within a textile or garment, for example a compression shirt, sports bra or cycling shorts. The snap can be flushly integrated into the belt or garment such the snap does not take away from the general wearability of the heart rate monitor belt or garment.

Abstract: A fastener for removably attaching a filter material to a mounting structure includes a base and corresponding safety retainer. The base includes an elongate shaft having a first end and a second end, the first end including an attachment means for removably attaching the fastener to the mounting structure. The safety retainer is configured to be removably received onto the shaft to secure at least a portion of the filter material between the safety retainer and the base.

Abstract: An assembly includes a first component and a second component. A sealant is disposed between the first component and the second component. The second component has a recess on a second surface of the second component opposite the first surface of the second component. A composite fastener has a threaded portion and a head portion. The head portion has a retention clip on a side of the head portion that faces the second surface of the second component when the threaded portion is received in aligned openings of the first component and the second component so that the retention clip is received in the recess when the composite fastener is turned. A method of attaching a first component and a composite component is provided.

Abstract: An integrated rockably released leverage snap fastening system may be removably fastened to the male snap to hold at least one item such as a tarpaulin in place to a boat or the like. To facilitate unfastening, male snap and rockable lever snap assembly cooperatively combine to create a class 1 lever system which may permit a user to rockably release the snap while reducing risk of damage to the tarpaulin. Various embodiments are discussed.

Abstract: A helmet is provided which is to be worn on the head of a helmet wearer and can be removed from the head with a comparatively small force. Operation for removing the helmet, including preliminary operation for it, can be performed easily and quickly. A recess-projection engaging mechanism to attach a blockish inside pad to a head protecting cap portion side includes an engaging pin on the inside pad side or head protecting cap portion side, and a notched engaging hole on the head protecting cap portion side or inside pad side. When pulling the inside pad outward from inside the head protecting cap portion at least partly, the engaging pin moves relative to outside the engaging hole through a notch of the engaging hole.

Abstract: A fastening system for fastening garment elements, with the garment comprising a button closure comprised of a button and a buttonhole. The fastening system is comprised of two fastening members, each of which has a base element. A base element of a first member is integrated with hook elements of a hook and eye fastener and the base element of the second member is integrated with eye elements of the hook and eye fastener. A fastener button is fixedly attached to a side of a base element of one of the two members, on a side obverse to the integrated hooks or eyes thereon. The other of the two members comprises an engaging fastener aperture, which extends through the base element and the integrated hooks or eyes thereon. The engaging fastener aperture permit the garment button to pass therethrough, effecting a holding engagement between the member and a garment element.

A male-side grooved surface is provided on a male snap radially outward from a projection of the snap with a plurality of grooves formed so that peaks and troughs of the grooves are arranged continuously in the circumferential direction. A female-side grooved surface similar to the male-side grooved surface is provided on a female snap radially outward from a projection-receiving space of the snap. The female-side grooved surface is inclined relative to the male-side grooved surface. When the male snap is removed from the female snap, each axis of the male snap and the female snap, which are yet in a coupled state, inclines relative to each other, causing the male-side grooved surface and the female-side grooved surface to partially engage with each other.

Abstract: A structure of assembling a plastic locking device with a surface material includes a plastic locking device. A surface material forms holes. The plastic locking device is placed to have through-holes defined therein overlapping the holes of the surface material. Rivet fastener elements are respectively put through the through-holes of the plastic locking device and the holes of the surface material to be subjected to a riveting and fixing operation. The rivet fastener element includes a male button that is made of zinc and forms a pillar and a female button that is made of zinc and forms a hollow tube. Pressurizing equipment is used to couple the pillar and the hollow tube through interference fitting between the pillar and an inner wall of the hollow tube. Locking blocks are formed on the inner wall of the hollow tube to provide a tight interference fitting with respect to the pillar.

The thick-walled portions and the thin-walled portions are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction.

The button body includes a collar, a shaft protruding from the collar and an insert hole for the fixture to be inserted therein. Abstract: A snap button is provided, which can function as both of a male snap and a female snap without accurate alignment or positioning two snap buttons to be engaged with each other. The snap button comprises a button body, wherein the button body includes a plurality of projections and a plurality of recesses, which are circumferentially alternately arranged. Each of the projections includes at least one salient and each of the recesses includes at least one protrusion. Each of the projections may be shaped as a horizontal cross-section thereof gradually decreases from the proximal end to the distal end. Further, the circumferential range of each recess is larger than that of each projection. The protrusion may have one or more cutouts, and the salient may be hemispherically shaped.

Abstract: In a helmet according to this invention, a recess-projection fitting mechanism to attach a blockish inside pad on a head protecting cap portion side includes a male hook or female hook on the blockish inside pad side, and a female hook or male hook on the head protecting cap portion. When pulling the inside pad outward from inside the head protecting cap portion at least partly, a recess-projection fitting disengaging slant surface causes one hook to relatively levitate from the other hook, thus relatively disengaging the male hook from the female hook. This invention can provide the helmet which, when worn by a head of a helmet wearer, can be removed with a comparatively small force, and the detaching operation of which can be performed easily and reliably with a comparatively simple arrangement.

The connector also features a post mechanism on a back side of the connector. The post mechanism has a pin, pin head and pin holder that attaches the connector to the glove. Users do not have to remove their digit covering apparatus to interact with a touch screen device. The conductive connector affords the user the ability to input onto a touch-screen without removal of their digit covering apparatus, such as a glove.

A string may be used as the support.
