Abstract: This invention intends to provide a snap with supports, the snap being formed of resin across a pair of tapes in a simple manner thereby leading to improvement of productivity and securing a solid structure and practical performance. Supports such as tapes are disposed in parallel with a gap. By using this gap, male bodies or female bodies of the snaps of thermoplastic resin are formed across opposing edges of the tapes opposing each other at a predetermined pitch by injection molding means or extrusion molding means. A string may be used as the support. Different from a conventional processing in which an attaching hole is made in the center of the tape and resin snap is formed therein, a boring step is not necessary. Thus, this snap with tapes is created through such a simple processing.

Abstract: An apparatus for temporarily holding a button on a garment to replace a button which has been detached or lost from the garment. The apparatus includes a spring-like U-shaped clip that has an upper planar portion and a lower planar portion. The upper and lower planar portions are connected at their rear ends so that the front ends of the planar portions are resiliently moveable between a normal closed position in which the front ends of the planar members abut to an open position in which the front ends are separated. The front ends of the upper and lower planar members are biased toward each other in the closed position. The upper surface of the upper planar member is provided with a retainer for being connected to a button. More specifically, the upper the retainer with a retaining element having a receptive socket receiving a second retaining element.

Abstract: An attachment device or replacement button device for mounting on at least one piece of pliant material includes a carrier member having a carrier head and a carrier shank extending outwardly from the carrier head. The carrier shank includes a piercing point and a joining region exists between the carrier head and the carrier shank with the joining region having a curved portion with a predefined radius. A receiver is provided for receiving the carrier shank and retaining the carrier member in a mated relationship with the receiver. The receiver includes a smooth receiver head for non-abrasive contact with a user and a receiver shank extends outwardly from the receiver head to define a receiving well for receipt of the carrier shank. The devices are mated by a friction fit and the receiver shank length combines with the carrier shank length to provide a predetermined spacing between the carrier head and the receiver head to allow the device to be operated in the manner of a conventional button.
