Abstract: The top end of a writing instrument, such as a high lighter, is pivotally attached to one end of an elongated book mark. Adjustment of the angular relationship between the instrument and book mark is retained by friction, a detent or both. When the combination is in use as a book mark, the writing instrument is at a right angle to the book mark and lies along the end of the book.
Abstract: An improved tape-measure using and holding assembly (10) that includes a tape measuring cavity (24) and an adjacent implement cavity (26). Into the cavity (24) is inserted and held a conventional tape measure (50) that includes a tape-release, slide-lock (52) and a spring-biased measuring tape (54). Into the cavity (26) may be inserted a variety of pencils, pens and other small implements used in the trade. The assembly (10) which is integrally and preferably made of a hard impact plastic has a right section (14) that includes a tape-release slot (14E) through which projects the tape-release slide-lock (52) and a tape-measure opening (14F) through which the measuring tape (54) maybe extended and retracted to allow tape measurements to be made while the tape measure (50) is securely held within the cavity (24). On the back surface of the back section (18) of the assembly (10), is located a pair of protrusions (181) having belt slots (18J) through which is inserted a waist belt.
Abstract: Pocket clip for writing instruments, such as ball-point pens, fountain pen caps, turning or push-button automatic pencils and the like, having an elongated clip facing which is disposed on an elongated resilient tongue of a clasp made of spring-elastic strip material, which can be fastened to the writing instrument. The clip facing is a piece stamped from thin metal strip material and formed into a hollow body which is partially open on its back facing the writing instrument, and the elongated tongue is snapped into it.
Abstract: A low-cost combined nail file and writing implement clip attachment is formed of a T shaped blank of sheet metal. The T shaped blank includes a short transverse strip portion connected by way of a narrowed connecting link to the top of a longitudinal strip portion which is widened and has its surface coated with an abrasive material to enable it to function as a nail file. The narrowed connecting link facilitates the shaping of the short transverse strip portion into a circular holder and the repositioning of the holder with respect to the widened longitudinal strip portion without causing the metal in the vicinity of the juncture of the strips to fracture.
