Abstract: A pen with push button is a pen which has a button on its barrel to control the exposure or closure of its pen point. When the button is pressed down by a finger, a thimble will retract to expose the pen point; when it is released, the thimble will close the pen point. The pen has an extending and retracting mechanism composed of a thimble, a button, and a spring.
Abstract: An apparatus for holding articles, such as writing instruments, in cooperation with a surface, such as a book cover, comprising a flat support member, a clamp element and an article retaining portion. The article retaining portion is comprised of a strip of resilient material bent into a serpentine profile and includes in succession along its length a first bend portion transverse to the support member, a proximal bend portion, a first arcuate bend portion, a distal band portion, and a second arcuate bend portion. The first and second arcuate bend portions define article retaining channels and the facing internal surfaces of the proximal and distal bend portions cooperate to form another space for holding articles. An optional bookmarker is suspended from the article retaining portion in an orientation suitable for insertion between the pages of a book.
Abstract: A clip for holding a writing instrument such as a ballpoint or felt tipped pen is provided which is also useful as a book mark, for example in a text book. The device is formed from an inexpensive, suitable plastic and allows the user to withdraw the pen shaft for writing while the pen cap is retained by the clip. Depending legs pivot to accept book pages for maintaining the clip in frictional engagement thereon.
Abstract: A pencil holder which can be detachably mounted to the sweat band area of a soft baseball type cap preferably formed in one piece of moulded plastic. It includes a base section arm (12), an outwardly and upwardly extending opposing outer arm (13) between which the pencil is frictionally held and an inwardly and upwardly extending opposing inner arm (11), which in combination with the base section arm (12), forms a clamp or clip which firmly grasps the sweat band area of the cap. All three arms extend end to end of the holder, forming in essence, two upwardly facing clamps or clips.
Abstract: A pivoting lever hand tool is provided with an opening spring which clips onto one of the lever handles and resiliently engages the other to bias the handles open. The spring has a flexible and resilient coupling channel which clips onto one handle and includes a plurality of flat panel sections extending end-to-end of the channel. A bias leaf is unitary with one of the panel sections and projects from one end thereof out of the plane thereof to engage the other handle, and terminates at a distal end which engages the one handle. The bias leaf may be provided along all or part of its length with single or double over layers, either laminated or folded over. The bias leaf may extend either away from the coupling channel or back along its length.
Abstract: A writing instrument slip attachment mechanism is disclosed which prevents the clip (3) from becoming separated from the writing instrument. The clip attachment mechanism located on the writing instrument shaft (1) includes a clip (3) having a folded back base section (4); and a clip attachment section (2) having cooperatively shaped outer and inner surfaces (2A, 2B) for operatively engaging said folded back base section (4); and a cover (5) for attachment to said clip attachment to said clip attachment section (2). The base section (4) of the clip (3) is press-fitted into the outer and inner surfaces (2A, 2B) of the clip attachment (2). The cover (5) cover the press-fitted base section (4) and preferably also helps to lock the base section (4) to the clip attachment section (2), by use of co-operatively shaped convex and concave surfaces formed between the cover and clip attachment section (2).

Abstract: The invention relates to a writing instrument cap and clip therefor. The cap has secured thereto an immovable end piece made rotationally integral with the cap by the heel portion of the clip being sunk into a notch in the cap.
Abstract: A cap and clip assembly for an instrument having working means at one end, the assembly being adapted to cover the working means when the working means is not in use, the assembly including a cap member having an open end, a housing extending from the cap member proximate the open end and including a slot having an opening facing in the same direction as the open end of the cap member, and an elongated clip member having a substantially flat base portion, the cap member slot being adapted to receive and retain the base portion of the clip member.
Abstract: A lead or pen marking device comprising a body member having a substantially flat finger gripping plate at one end, and a lead or pen marking tip at the other end.
Abstract: A pen comprises an elongated one-piece barrel having substantially rigid tip end and head end portions joined to each other by an intermediate integral flexible portion, whereby the barrel can be bent at the flexible portion, and a writing tip at the distal end of the tip end portion. A substantially rigid tubular cap member is telescopically received over the tip end portion of the barrel such that it can be moved along the barrel between (1) a retracted position in which it overlies part of the tip end portion and substantially all of the flexible portion, thus exposing the writing tip for use and rendering the pen substantially rigid, and (2) an extended position in which it covers the writing tip and leaves the flexible portion exposed, thus protecting the writing tip and rendering the pen flexible. Interengaging rib and groove couplings on the cap and the tip end portion of the barrel releasably retain the cap member in each of the retracted and extended positions.
Abstract: A modular writing instrument cap system is disclosed, in which each individual cap comprises an elongated tubular portion having an open end and a closed end. Near the closed end the cap is internally provided with a seal member adapted to seal with a writing instrument holding quick-drying ink. Near the open end, the tubular portion is internally provided with a catch for removably securing the cap on a writing instrument. Externally on the closed end, the cap is provided with a transversely-oriented open ended tubular barrel. The barrel is configured to receive an internally threaded sleeve, terminator rings and screws which thread towards one another through the rings into the opposite ends of the sleeve in order to hold the assembly together and secure a bail to it. The ends of the barrel and corresponding ends of the terminator rings are cooperatively notched to accommodate the legs of the bail.
Abstract: A cap device for securing an instrument, such as a ballpoint pen, to a web of flexible material. The device comprises a stem portion and a body portion which collectively define a first, second and third surface, with the first surface being disposed between the second and third surfaces. The surfaces are disposed in a spaced array to form a longitudinally extending gap which is serpentine in cross section and arranged for receipt of the web of material to bend the web about the surfaces to accomplish a substantially non-traumatic gathering of the web by the device. The device is slidable from a first position wherein it covers the tip of the writing instrument to a second position wherein the tip is exposed. Means are provided to ensure that the device does not slide off the instrument.
Abstract: A ball point pen has a cartridge which can be projected by orienting the front end of a ball point pen main body downward and which can be retracted by orienting the front end of the main body upward. A weight with a notch or the like is mounted to the cartridge to shift the overall center of gravity of the cartridge and the weight from the axis of the main body. This allows complete engagement of the distal end portion of the cartridge with an engaging step formed inside the main body, so that accidental retraction of the cartridge back into the main body may be prevented during writing.
Abstract: A clip for writing utensils such as a sharp pencil or the like comprising a clip piece including a pair of opposed insertion arms, said insertion arms being inserted into receiving grooves provided in side surfaces of a clip base formed integral with a holder of the writing utensil.
Abstract: Holding device for attachment to electrical installations, including a base portion, a device for attaching the base portion to the electrical installation, and a flange portion integral with and extending outwardly from the base portion for holding articles between the flange and a wall in which the electrical installation is installed.
Abstract: In an intravenous fluid administration assembly, there is provided a suspended, fluid holding container having a stopper closing off its mouth, a conduit having a hollow spike inserted into the stopper for gravity flow delivery of fluid from the container to the conduit, and a clamp for preventing the unintentional separation of the spike from the stopper. The clamp has a first portion having an opening through which the container's neck extends downwardly and a second portion having an opening through which the spike extends upwardly. The first portion seats on an abutment on the container's neck and the second portion seats under a flange extending outwardly from the spike. First ends of the first and second portions are connected by a third portion of the clamp and the openings in the first and second portions extend to those portions' other free ends.
