Abstract: A supplemental support for infant carrier handle has top and bottom clamshells and a retention strap assembly. An upper arm support and a safety lanyard assembly can also be incorporated. In order to install the supplemental support on an infant carrier handle, the retention strap is initially tightened over the handle. Once the retention strap is initially snug, the user can push the bottom clamshell upwards towards the top clamshell, hinging the supplemental support into a closed configuration. Because of the unique function of the clamshell hinge, the hinging action tightens the retention strap even further upon closing. The bottom and top clamshells can then lock together. The supplemental support for infant carrier handle is thereby securely locked onto the infant carrier's handle and the user can simply place the bottom clamshell on his or her forearm and proceed to securely and comfortably carry the infant carrier.

Abstract: A belt fitting for a safety belt device in a vehicle that includes a base segment and an insertion tongue connected thereto, in which base segment a belt eye is provided, through which a belt webbing is guided and divides the belt webbing into a shoulder belt segment and a lap belt segment when the safety belt is worn. The belt fitting has a clamping element movable between a release position, such that the belt webbing is freely movable in sliding contact over at least one belt running surface, and a clamping position, in which the belt webbing is tightly clamped between a clamping stop on the base segment and the clamping element in the event of a load or crash. The belt running surface of the belt fitting has a surface contour, which ensures stable transverse guidance of the belt webbing in the event of a load.

Abstract: To enable a tongue to be more compact in size even when a seat-belt locking member is disposed and to achieve satisfactory mountability. A tongue (7) includes a resin mold portion (12) having seat belt lock guide holes (21) and (22). The resin mold portion (12) is provided with a seat belt lock (13) such that it is movable between an unlocking position where it does not lock a seat belt (4) and a locking position where it locks the seat belt (4) while being guided by the seat belt lock guide holes (21) and (22), and the seat belt lock (13) is set in the unlocking position under normal conditions and is set in the locking position in emergency. The seat belt lock (13) is continuously urged toward the unlocking position by a torsion spring (14). In emergency, the seat belt lock (13) is set in the locking position by a pressing force from the seat belt (4) against the urging force of the torsion spring (14).

  • Patent number: 9566499
Abstract: A binding strap assist mechanism. The binding strap assist mechanism can be retrofit onto standard snowboard binding straps to bias the binding straps and an open configuration. Binding straps pass through the binding strap assist mechanism so that tensile stress along the length of each of these binding straps during use is not significantly conveyed to the binding straps assist mechanism. The tensile stress are thus isolated to the binding straps which are intended to carry such stresses. The present invention provides a safe and convenient feature to snowboard bindings and other bindings. Safety is achieved because even if the binding strap assist mechanism breaks or fails to function, the binding straps will continue to function as normal.
