Abstract: A rotary closure system includes a dial with a projection on an underside of the dial to engage a pawl assembly, the pawl assembly in connection with teeth of a housing. The housing receives a spool therein, and the housing has teeth around a peripheral edge, the pawl assembly engageable with the teeth of the housing. A base member or flange may be coupled or integral to the housing for connecting the rotary closure system to an article of clothing, such as a shoe. The rotary system has a first, locked position and a second, unlocked position. In the first, locked position, an inner arm of the pawl assembly engages the spool and a tooth of the housing. In the second, unlocked position, the inner arm of the pawl assembly disengages the spool.

Abstract: A cord lock for tightening and loosening cord by clockwise and anticlockwise rotation, having a knob, a pawl plate, a hub, a clutch, and a reel. The object is to loosen and tighten the cord is achieved by assembly of the knob, the pawl plate, the hub, the clutch and the reel through clockwise and anticlockwise rotation of the knob. When two ends of a cord are wound in the slots after being threaded through cord holes from cord platforms, the cord can be tightened and loosened alternatively by rotating the knob clockwise or anticlockwise. As the knob rotates clockwise, the clutch and the reel mesh to drive the reel to rotate clockwise, and the cord can be tightened; as the knob rotates anticlockwise, the clutch can elastically deform to disengage the wedge-shaped stoppers from the reel, and the reel can freely rotate to loosen the cord.

Abstract: A D-ring, comprising a body having a first surface and a second surface and a plurality of apertures formed through first and second surfaces. The D-ring comprises two or more separate rated apertures for receiving a device or a connector to a device. A first aperture is formed through the first and second surfaces and positioned on the distal portion of the body. A second aperture is formed through the first and second surfaces such that the second aperture is adjacent to the first aperture. Additionally, there is a belt receiving aperture formed through said first and second surfaces positioned on the proximal portion of the body.

Abstract: A securement hook is disclosed herein having five sides and allowing for multiple interior voids therein insertion and connection with hooks or loops, and combinations therein, for use in securement of a load during transit or any other use requiring a high strength compact securement device attachable to cables, ropes or straps.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relating to a detachable belt buckle for application with a belt strap are disclosed. The buckle comprises a main buckle body having, at one end, a first fastening means and, at an opposite end, a second fastening means. The first fastening means is adapted for attaching a first end of a belt strap to the buckle. The second fastening means is adapted for attaching a second end of the belt strap to the buckle. The buckle is detachable from the belt strap separately at each respective end of the belt strap via the first fastening means and the second fastening means, such that no removal of the belt strap from a garment is required.

Abstract: A strap assembly for securing a vehicle load includes a fixed flat strap secured around a buckle crossbar and a specially configured hook attached to an end of the strap. The parts are configured such that that upon engaging the hook and crossbar there is preferably an interference fit, allowing a major loop to be formed in the strap that will remain securely engaged even when there is slack in the strap. Additionally, the hook/buckle combination is preferably configured such that substantially rotating the hook relative the buckle is required to disengage the two. There is also preferably a second similar hook attached to the opposing end of a second adjustable strap, and a small twisted and/or folded loop built into the strap allowing a second major loop by engaging the second hook with the twisted and/or folded loop.

Abstract: A belt and belt buckle design that opens to the front where the strap enters the belt buckle from below. The buckle is made from a single buckle member that is formed and that uses force and/or guidance from the buckle to hold the belt in place. The buckle has a hook region to support the strap of the belt and has a body passing around the strap from the back region of the strap to the front region of the strap.

Abstract: A swimming goggle buckle includes a goggle main body, two single buckle complexes, and a headband, wherein the goggle main body includes a nose pad, a rim, face contacting pads, a glass lens formed in the rim, and an opening formed at each end. One end of each single buckle complex is fastened at an opening thereof and the other end connecting to the headband, thereby enabling the goggle buckle to be easy to assemble, difficult to disassemble, convenient to adjust, while still containing relatively few individual parts.

Abstract: The buckle of the present invention has a first connection means including two spaced-apart parallel slots for semi-permanently attaching the buckle (10) to a length of webbing in a well-known manner. It has a second connection means, which includes a first aperture (34) and a passageway (36) leading into the first aperture, through which a captive loop of webbing may be guided to locate it within the first aperture. The buckle also includes a second aperture (40), defined by parallel arms (27, 28), which is open in a direction opposite to that of the first aperture, for securing the captive loop in the buckle. When a captive loop of webbing (52) is secured in position, the buckle (10) cannot be shaken loose from the captive loop, but may be easily released when required by simply reversing the fastening procedure.

Abstract: There is provided an improved tab member for a closure system comprising a tab portion and a slot member. The slot member includes a slit or a loop, with the slot located between an inboard portion and an outboard portion. The tab portion has a tab member having a length, an inner edge, an outer edge and at least one lip portion. The tab member outer edge is passed through the slot of the slot member to engage the fastening device. Once passed through the slot, at least one lip portion of the tab member overlaps or catches the outboard portion of the slot member to prevent the tab member from disengaging from the slot member. The slot member outward portion is retained between the lip portion(s) and the underlying generally flexible tab carrier substrate.

Abstract: A frame clamp for an anchor strap assembly (10) for a manufactured home (70) having a frame member (74), such as an I-beam (75), and supported above ground (99), such as by piers (91). Anchor strap assembly (10) includes elongate anchor strap (30) connecting a ground anchor (20) to frame clamp (40). Ground anchor (20) includes head (22) fixed near ground (99) to the side of beam (75). Clamp (40) attaches top end (34) of strap (30) to beam (75) and comprises stationary jaw (42) and movable jaw (60) joined such that movable jaw (60) to which strap (30) is attached is pivotable about axis (58) perpendicular to the plane of strap (30) and such that movable jaw (60) is hinged such that tensioning strap (30) clamps beam (75) between jaws (42,61). Clamp (40) is easily attached and prevents strap breakage during home movement such as during an earthquake or storm.

Abstract: A rope hook comprises a length of tubular fabric webbing into which a pair of loops has been formed. The first loop serves to attach the hook to an object. A resilient U-shaped member is contained within the tubular webbing to define a U-shaped member for holding a coil of rope. An adjustable fastener spans the opening into the hook for engagement with the second loop.

Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting the width of the waistband of a skirt or a pair of trousers, includes a U-shaped clip which slides onto the waistband perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the waistband. The U-shaped clip has two limbs which are interconnected on the top sides thereof and which run substantially parallel to each other. The waistband is arranged in a fold formed by the waist band passing by the clip, substantially parallel thereto, first to one limb of the clip. The waistband loops around the first limb before running back in an opposite direction, between the two limbs of the clip, to the second limb. The waistband further loops around the second limb before finally being guided back in the opposite direction. Each side of the clip is also provided with an arm which extends vertically. The arms are provided near the plane defined by the clip and fit on a respective outer flank of the fold on a side facing away from the U-shaped clip.

Abstract: An elongated shell and internal gripper assembly for gripping and supporting sheet-like posters or pictures for display purposes in a readily exchangeable manner. The assembly comprises an elongated, extruded gripper clip has a planar backing base pivotable distal-most poster receiving edge. The assembly includes an elongated, extruded receiving shell with a gripper clip receiving channel centrally arranged therein and an edge slot at a lowermost portion of the shell members. The gripper clip is slidably received within the receiving channel. The gripper clip has its distalmost receiving edge extending distally beyond the edge slot of the shell to permit display and exchange of a poster or picture therefrom.

Abstract: A fitting for a synthetic web sling. In one preferred embodiment, the fitting includes a spool for receiving the synthetic web sling. A hook is opposed to the spool, the hook having a width and having a saddle for receiving the synthetic web sling therein. The saddle includes an arcuate surface with an expanded diameter larger than the width of the hook. The saddle also includes a central raised portion. A pair of opposed frusto-conical bumpers are axially aligned with the saddle to laterally align the web sling on the saddle.

Abstract: A tie-down strap frame connector (10) for use in a stabilizing foundation system (12) for a manufactured home (14) which comprises a frame including at least one flanged support beam (16). The tie-down strap frame connector comprises a hook portion (40) adapted to latch about a flange (58) of the manufactured home support beam, a strap slot (52) adapted to receive a tie-down strap (26) of the stabilizing foundation system, and means for altering the orientation of the strap slot relative to the hook portion so that the tie-down strap can be arranged in non-perpendicular orientations with respect to the manufactured home without creating a torsional stress concentration within the tie-down strap.

Abstract: A truck strap fastener is adapted to enable a strap to be attached to either a downwardly directed hook or to a flat iron carried by standoffs attached to a trailer's frame. Flatbed trailers typically provide either a flat iron bar or a downwardly directed hook as the point of attachment for load securing tie-down straps. A fastener is disclosed that is adapted to attach to either point of attachment, and also to the tie-down strap. The fastener provides a body carrying left and right prongs which jointly fasten in place about a flat iron. Alternatively, a hook opening in the body allows a hook to pass between the left and right prongs and through the hook opening in the body.

Abstract: An arrangement for covering upholstered furniture includes a semi-fitted cover which is partially fitted to a piece of upholstered furniture and a mechanism for positioning a holding band in a closed loop around the cover. The holding band is positioned to form a loop around the cover and pull the semi-fitted cover close to the upholstered furniture. The present invention also includes details concerning skirt clips, belt adjusting plates and pleating plates which are unique as part of the present invention.

Abstract: An article holder apparatus includes a flexible strap member which has a longitudinal strap axis. A loop retention assembly is connected to the flexible strap member for maintaining the flexible strap member in a loop configuration. A clip assembly is connected to the flexible strap member. The clip assembly has a longitudinal clip axis. A strap guide is connected to the clip assembly for receiving a portion of the flexible strap member and for orienting the longitudinal strap axis in parallel with the longitudinal clip axis. The loop retention assembly includes female lock member connected to a first end of the flexible strap member and a complimentary male lock member connected to a second end of the flexible strap member. The loop retention assembly further includes a loop-size adjustment assembly. The loop-size adjustment assembly includes an exterior frame portion and a transverse rib member extending across two portions of the exterior frame portion.

Abstract: A display device for a fashion accessory that includes an elongated strap of a purse or similar bag and a retaining member that receives a strap in a looped form and retains the strap in its desired position. The retaining member receives and retains the strap in its desired position without slippage by providing a unitary body defining a retaining plane parallel to the plane of the strap, wherein apertures are disposed on and passing through this retaining plane. In the preferred embodiments of this invention, the retaining device takes the forms of a figure-eight or S-shaped design. Moreover, breakaway tabs may be provided to enhance the frictional resistance to slippage.

Abstract: An assemblage for shaping and maintaining the position of skirts and covers on seating and upholstered furniture comprises an elongated band having a band adjusting member to form the band into a closed loop and to adjust the length of the closed loop; a pleating member capable of being affixed to the band and including a plurality of clips for gathering material of a furniture cover; and a skirt clip capable of being affixed to the band and including a pair of fingers to permit a skirt to be affixed to the elongated band. The above elements can each be used alone or in combination with other elements for securing fabric to furniture.

Abstract: A belt assembly has a belt with a retroreflective front side and one or more pairs of clip components snap-fitted thereon to grip the belt. Each clip component presents an integral leaf spring for fitting over a section of the belt.

Abstract: A ring to which things can be tied, hooked or otherwise linked is pivotally affixed to the end of an elongated shank. At the opposite end of the shank is a wide hook, preferably as wide as the connecting ring. Integral with the shank is a leaf member which protrudes into the hollow of the hook. The leaf member and tongue of the hook are biased toward each other. The hook is used to catch a rigid planar lip of a structure. The biasing causes the lip to be clamped between the leaf member and hook tongue to hold the device in place. The hook is oriented so that any tension applied to the connecting ring is counteracted by force against by the hook by the rigid planar lip. Things connected to the ring are thereby anchored by the structure.

Abstract: A seat belt adjuster is provided for holding the lap seat belt to the shoulder belt of an automobile seat belt and prevent the shoulder belt rubbing against the neck of a wearer. The adjuster is made of a single unitary piece and therefore cannot be separated. A frame member formed of resilient material has a front portion, rear portion, top edge, bottom edge and space between the front and back portions for containing the lap seat belt. There is a hinge at the top edge joining the rear and front portions together and a retaining snap at the bottom edge to hold the two portions together. A clip forms part of the front portion extending down from the top edge retains the shoulder belt.

Abstract: A seat belt safety clip for orienting a shoulder seat belt away from a passenger's head and neck when the passager is restrained by the shoulder belt and a lap seat belt. The seat belt safety clip includes a frame member having a longitudinal slot for retaining a portion of the shoulder seat belt, and a clip member longitudinally attached to the frame member for retaining a portion of the lap seat belt between the frame member and the clip member. The frame member has a receiving member including a pair of spaced apart lips, and the clip member has a mating member including a pair of spaced apart hooks, such that the two hooks of the clip member can be engaged to the two lips of the frame member respectively, so that the clip member is removably attached to the frame member.

Abstract: A button adjustment apparatus for the straps of a child's garment. The apparatus includes a base member having three transverse slots and a button fixedly attached between two of the slots. The garment straps are threaded through the slots so that the button can be selectively adjusted along the length of the strap by sliding the straps in the slots of the base member.

Abstract: A method and means for positioning bedfast patients where the apparatus includes a rectangular pad which dwells on the bed surface and extends at least from above the shoulders of the patient to a point at least below the hip areas. Pairs of straps are secured to the pad and extend transversely across the pad in substantial alignment with the shoulders and hip areas, respectively, of the patient. Hand gripping loops are formed in the strap elements adjacent the side edges of the pad. Slide buckles are secured to the strap elements which extend outwardly from the side edges of the pad, and hook elements are secured thereto for securement to bed rails and the like to temporarily hold a patient in a side rest position, for example.

Abstract: A cam buckle assembly has a main body portion fabricated of a suitable resilient material such as a resilient plastic. A cam member is pivotally assembled in the main body portion and is resiliently urged towards the main body portion by a resilient arm member which extends from the main body portion and abuts against the cam member. A strap is wound around a cross arm formed in the main body portion at one end thereof, this strap being adjustable as to its effective length and once so adjusted retained in such position by means of the cam member. Means are provided at the other end of the body portion, for attaching the body portion to securing means which in one embodiment comprises a resilient hook and in another embodiment a cross bar for receiving an attachment strap.

Abstract: A child chair adapted to be secured by conventional vehicle seat belt systems. The chair is provided with a safety belt system including a belt which is attached to the chair and a combined tongue and anchor plate to form a lap belt portion and a pair of shoulder belt portions. The safety belt system also includes a tongue latch which is connected to the chair by means of a crotch belt and releasably connects to the tongue.
