Abstract: The non-preformed clamping device of the present invention includes a buckle having an inclined shroud and a raised rear portion and a band having a pair of retention members for holding the buckle in position on the band. The buckle and band can further include matching markers to permit the user to properly orient the buckle on the band.

Abstract: A cluster of seismic streamer cable utility modules is provided with a set of hinged latching members. The hinged latching members are adapted secure the cluster to the steamer cable by closing the hinged latches around corresponding collars mounted on the streamer cable. The collars form an inner race while the closed hinged latches form an outer race to allow free relative rotation between the streamer cable and the cluster of modules.

Abstract: A device for strapping cables, pipes and similar items together or to a support comprises a strap (1) constituted by a strip of bendable material, preferably metal, attached at one end to a buckle plate (2), conveniently of sheet metal, by passing one end of the strap (1) through a slot (5) and bending it back to underlie a portion of the strap which is wrapped around the cables (6) or the like to be strapped. The buckle plate has a raised bridge portion (3) and an aligned pair of fixed ears (3a',3a") with a gap therebetween. The other end of the strap (1) is threaded beneath the ears and passed beneath the bridge portion (3). After pulling the stripping tight, its free end is bent back over the bridge portion (3) and secured by tilting it slightly about its axis and sliding it through the gap between the ears 3a' and 3a". In other embodiments the strip (1) is integral with the buckle plate (2).

Abstract: A clamping device is provided in the form of a one-piece cable tie. The cable tie includes a band section having a free end for positioning about an object to be constrained, such as an electrical cable, and a buckle section through which the free end of the band section is inserted. In a preferred embodiment, the buckle section includes a first portion operatively connected to the band and terminating adjacent a slot. A second, raised portion of the buckle section is longitudinally or horizontally offset from the first portion. The second portion extends from a point adjacent the aforementioned slot to a free end. The width of the slot occupied by the band is greater when the band is loosely wrapped about the object constrained. The greater width of the slot when the band is loosely wrapped facilitates single or multiple wrappings of the object constrained.

Abstract: An undetachable flange joint characterized in that it essentially comprises a pair of semicircular clamp halves of which cross-sectional configuration is designed to tightly fit the outer configuration of a pair of tapered flanges to be joined, said clamp halves having curled portions at their both ends, and two annular links adapted to be engaged around the respective curled end portions so that the pair of flanges are tightly joined to one another by firmly holding the whole flanges by means of the clamp halves under wedging force.

Abstract: A dental inset for cooperative retainment about a tooth of an external max band by a retainer is presented. The matrix band is provided with oppositely disposed end portions and the inset connects the end portions of the matrix band where the end portions divaricate from the tooth so that a 360 degree matrix which readily adapts to the cervical circumference of the molar teeth is provided.

Abstract: A belt retainer for securing the belt of a disposable sterile operating room gown comprises a generally rectangular strip of semi-rigid deformable material having a continuous belt retaining and locking cutout slot therein. The cutout slot defines a central upwardly extending tab, a narrow downwardly extending tab extension connected to the central tab adjacent one side edge of the central tab, and a side downwardly extending tab positioned adjacent the opposite side edge of the central tab.

Abstract: A strap fastener and method for securing a strap to the fastener for forming a tight loop for strapping an object. The fastener is a one-piece, generally rectangularly shaped body having either a single slot or a pair of slots providing a pair of opposed inside edges, an intermediate slot, and an end slot with all slots being sized to receive flexible strap.
