Eyeglass Holder Including Retaining Means Patents (Class 24/3.3)
  • Patent number: 7496991
Abstract: A portable securement system for docking eyewear to a user's garment for temporary safekeeping. Hidden in use, the system docking device is a pendant construction to be mounted on button threads behind a garment placard. There it is anchored while a magnet secured at the device's lower portion secures eyewear for easy retrieval. The docking device includes an opening at its central portion to be placed over the button, with a narrowed portion engaging the threads and serving as an anchoring trap to hold the device in place. As an alternative, a wire-like segment defines the device's central opening and terminates at opposed ends at an upper portion of the device to form a releasable clip employed to anchor the device to the garment inner seam. Eyewear is provided an appliance in the form of a flexible tube including a magnetic element to be fitted over a temple bar.

  • Patent number: 6959989
Abstract: A system for attaching safety glasses to headwear often called a “helmet” or a “hard-hat” has multiple adjustments that fit the glasses to the individual user and that allow the user to flip the glasses back and forth between in-use and removed positions. The preferred system includes a base piece that attaches to the interior or underside of the helmet, near the wearer's face at or near the junction of the helmet's bill/brim and dome. Abstract: A strap that has two hooks placed on the ends and a curved clip in the center of the strap. The strap is elastic so that it holds onto a hat brim firmly. Once in place, the strap stays on the brim until it is needed. Because there is no large clip, the strap can be used on sun visors as well as hats. To store eye ware, the user places the eye ware on the brim and flips the curved clip over the bridge of the glasses. To release the glasses, the user simply flips the curved hook back, thereby releasing the glasses. Moreover, the user can easily remove the strap when it is not needed. • Patent number: 6647555
Abstract: A belt-like article has fastening elements continuous attached along an entire periphery of a long tape main body. The belt-like article further includes engaging means capable of engaging with/disengaging from each other, each of which has an engaging portion provided at a predetermined position in a longitudinal direction of the tape main body. By winding the belt-like article spirally about an end portion thereof so as to engage the opposing fastening elements successively, a diversified types of the storage bodies can be obtained. Further, by engaging the engaging means with each other, the belt-like article can be used as a neck strap for hanging the storage body for accommodating an object. Therefore, the belt-like article is provided with not only an application as the belt-like article but also an application as a storage body for various objects, which are functionally related to each other, so that it can be used sufficiently for practical purpose.
