Abstract: A connector assembly is formed from a female portion, a male portion and a locking cover. The female portion has a longitudinal channel with an opening and a slot that extends into the channel. The male portion has a locking post and an indentation that aligns with the slot when the post is inserted into the channel. The locking cover has a locking tooth that extends through the slot and into the channel. The male portion is connected to the female portion by sliding the locking post into the channel until the indentation aligns with the slot, so that the locking tooth rests in the indentation. The male portion is released from the female portion by pulling the locking cover away from the female portion until the locking tooth clears the indentation in the post which is mounted in the channel, and sliding the male portion and female portion away from each other.

Abstract: A locking connector assembly is configured to securely connect a first component to a second component. The locking connector assembly may include a female connector having first and second female ends and a longitudinal passage defined therebetween, and a male connector having first and second male ends. Either of the first or second male ends may be configured to mate with the female connector at either the first or second female ends in order to securely connect the male connector to the female connector.

Abstract: The assembly and release apparatus and method utilizes a C-shaped clip defining a channel and a smaller slot extending along the channel, both open at at least one end, attachable to a first location on a garment. A pin of the apparatus is slidably receivable in the channel through the open end to assemble the C-shaped clip and the pin together. The pin has a tab or strip that extends through the slot, for attaching the pin to a second location on the garment. The apparatus includes at least one detent element associated with one of the C-shaped clip and the pin, cooperatively engageable with the other of the C-shaped clip and the pin for retaining the pin in the channel, and releasable in a predetermined manner to allow slidably removing the pin from the channel through the open end, to provide a quiet and rapid manner of operation.

Abstract: A thin garment closure includes a male member with a bar having a ball on at least one end and a female member having a trough shaped complementary to the bar. The bar is positionable in the trough when the male and female members in a substantially transverse orientation, and when one member is rotated so that both members are substantially coplanar the closure is closed. The male and female members each have a flat surface which contacts the flat surface of the mating member when the closure is closed, enabling a thin and narrow closure. In an embodiment, the trough has sidewalls which guide the bar into position in the trough for improved manipulation of the closure. In another embodiment, a detent resists decoupling of the closure while allowing coupling over a range of insertion angles.

Abstract: An adjustable tarp strap assembly is described herein. The adjustable tarp strap assembly may include a buckle assembly a strap and a securing strap. The buckle assembly may include a first slot, a second slot, a tab and a catch. The tarp strap assembly may also include a hook secured to the buckle assembly. The strap may include a first end and a second end, wherein the first end may be intertwined within the slots. The securing strap may include a first aperture and a second aperture, wherein the first aperture may be engaged with the tab and the second aperture may be engaged with the catch. The securing strap may secure the strap within the buckle assembly. The strap may include a length that may be adjustable within the slots.

Abstract: A clip device for releasably securing objects together is provided. The clip device comprises a clip body with a first slot formed in the clip body and a second slot formed in the clip body substantially parallel to the first slot. A cross member divides the first slot from the second slot. A faceplate substantially parallel to the cross member is formed in the clip body with the faceplate having a substantially planar front face surface and a rear face surface. A finger extends from the front face surface with the finger curling back toward the front face surface. An opening is formed through the faceplate wherein upon positioning of the front face surfaces of two adjacent clip bodies together, the finger is releasably receivable within the opening formed in the front faceplate.

Abstract: A strap connector and method of making the same. The connector includes a latch socket and a latch pin which have an interference fit. The socket and pin form a connector which has a hinge action. The method of forming the connector includes injection molding the socket of the connector onto the end of a strap.

Abstract: A strap for attaching a watch or other jewelry article to the wrist of a wearer, including non-expansible non-metallic strap members interconnected by a metallic coupling device. The coupling device is adapted to accommodate adjustment or variation of the overall length of the strap to suit the requirements of the wearer. At least one of the strap members has a strap adaptor permanently secured thereto, with at least one tab member protruding therefrom. A connector element on the metallic coupling device has an aperture, notch or the like into which the tab member is received before being bendably deformed to overlap and detachably secure the coupling device to the aforesaid strap member.
