Abstract: A securement and release device for webbing (SRDFW) comprised of two design configurations. Both configurations of the SRDFW allow a length of webbing to be quickly and securely attached to or removed from a structure. Both designs essentially function as a quick secure/release device into which webbing is inserted. Both configurations of the SRDFW are comprised of a securing and release assembly having a first side member, a second side member, an upper jaw, a center wedge and a lower jaw. Pivot rods extend outward from the jaws and the wedge. The pivot rods allow the jaws and the wedge to pivot into an open configuration to allow webbing to be inserted into/through the first assembly, and then to pivot into a closed position that locks the webbing within the assembly. The jaws and wedge can then pivot to remove the webbing.

Abstract: A child carrier includes: a seat portion; a buckle movably provided on the seat portion; a backrest portion connected to the seat portion and extending upward, the backrest portion having a plurality of adjustment holes formed therein from bottom to top; and a shoulder strap having a fixed end and a free end, the fixed end being fixed on a rear side of the backrest portion, the free end passing through one of the plurality of adjustment holes and being removably connected to the seat portion.

Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and methods for an attachment mechanism for attaching a strap around a body extremity. The attachment mechanism includes a hook, a first channel, and a second channel. The hook includes a first longitudinal axis and coupled to the strap at a first region of the hook. The first channel allowing the attachment mechanism to receive the strap. The second channel extending from the first channel and having an opening allowing the attachment mechanism to secure the strap, the opening extending along a second longitudinal axis, the second longitudinal axis forming an angle of less than ninety degrees with the first longitudinal axis. The strap is coupled to a harness. The strap includes a first portion, an attachment portion attached to the first portion, a main portion attached to the attachment portion; and an elastic portion attached to the main portion.

Abstract: A fall prevention assembly to prevent injuries when a user climbing a pole and falls, is provided. The fall prevention assembly includes a pole strap, a first connector, a floating back plate, a second connector and a lanyard. The pole strap has a first end, a second end and a mid portion between the first end and the second end. The first connector has a first end that is slidably coupled proximate the first end of the pole strap. The floating back plate is engaged between a portion of the first connector and the pole strap and is configured and arranged to selectively bind the pole strap to the first connector. The second connector is coupled a select distance from the second end of the pole strap. The lanyard has a first end, a second end and mid portion between the first and second ends. A second end of the first connector is slidably coupled to the lanyard.

Abstract: One design embodiment of a holder for a container comprising: one or more bands each capable of retaining a container inside the band(s), with straps attached to and extending away from the exterior of the band(s); with fasteners on the ends of each strap such that container within the band or bands are held in a stable position relative to a harness to be worn by a user. The design embodiment allows easy attachment, use and deployment of containers in a variety of environmental conditions and situational uses, including but not limited to the carrying of gas supplies for underwater divers.

Abstract: A buckle includes a buckle body, two first retainers, and two second retainers connected respectively and detachably to the first retainers. The buckle body includes an insert groove having two upwardly facing openings, two stop portions, and a resilient pressing arm. The first retainers are inserted into the insert groove via the openings, respectively. Each of the first retainers includes a resilient retaining plate biased to a retaining position to prevent removal of the corresponding first retainer from the buckle body. Each of the resilient retaining plates is removable from the retaining position. When the resilient pressing arm is pressed, each of the resilient retaining plates is removed from the retaining position by the resilient pressing arm.

Abstract: A clip device for releasably securing objects together is provided. The clip device comprises a clip body with a first slot formed in the clip body and a second slot formed in the clip body substantially parallel to the first slot. A cross member divides the first slot from the second slot. A faceplate substantially parallel to the cross member is formed in the clip body with the faceplate having a substantially planar front face surface and a rear face surface. A finger extends from the front face surface with the finger curling back toward the front face surface. An opening is formed through the faceplate wherein upon positioning of the front face surfaces of two adjacent clip bodies together, the finger is releasably receivable within the opening formed in the front faceplate.

Abstract: There is provided an improved tab member for a closure system comprising a tab portion and a slot member. The slot member includes a slit or a loop, with the slot located between an inboard portion and an outboard portion. The tab portion has a tab member having a length, an inner edge, an outer edge and at least one lip portion. The tab member outer edge is passed through the slot of the slot member to engage the fastening device. Once passed through the slot, at least one lip portion of the tab member overlaps or catches the outboard portion of the slot member to prevent the tab member from disengaging from the slot member. The slot member outward portion is retained between the lip portion(s) and the underlying generally flexible tab carrier substrate.

Abstract: A multi-purpose seat belt retaining device which provides a means for lowering the path of a seat belt for use by a child by removably inserting the lap and shoulder portion of a seat belt into slots on the device thereby lowering the intersection points of the lap and shoulder portion of the seat belt. In addition, the device also provides a means for allowing a person to enter and exit the driver side of a car without unbuckling the seat belt by removably placing a hook portion around the steering wheel and inserting both the lap and shoulder portion of the seat belt in a common slot. To allow the seat belt to engage around the driver, the device is simply unhooked from the steering wheel but is left secured onto the seat belt.

Abstract: A button adjustment apparatus for the straps of a child's garment. The apparatus includes a base member having three transverse slots and a button fixedly attached between two of the slots. The garment straps are threaded through the slots so that the button can be selectively adjusted along the length of the strap by sliding the straps in the slots of the base member.

Abstract: A pair of identical fastener elements are arranged in superposed, face-to-face relation to cooperatively define a plurality of elongated, peripherally enclosed channels for passage of end portions of strips of material which are thereby joined by the fastening arrangement. Each element has a plurality of arms extending from a connection at one end with a central body portion to a free end, with opposing, spaced edges of the arms and body portions forming slots closed at one end and open at the other. Placing two of the elements in face-to-face, superposed relation with the arms of each element overlying the opposite end of the arms of the other element provides the peripherally enclosed channels. The fastening elements are disclosed in a number of configurations.
