Abstract: Curtain hook assemblies are disclosed that include backing plates secured to a curtain and curtain hooks rotatably mounted on the backing plates. The curtain hooks can rotate from flat positions against the curtain during packaging to extended positions for hanging on a curtain rod. A lower hook may optionally be integrally or rotatably attached to the backing plate.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a chip packaging structure and a chip packaging method, relating to the technical field of chip packaging. In the above, the chip packaging structure includes: a substrate, wherein a light-transmitting hole penetrating through upper and lower surfaces thereof is provided on the substrate, and openings communicated with the light-transmitting hole are formed on two opposite sidewall surfaces of the substrate, respectively; light-transmitting glass, wherein two opposite sides of the light-transmitting glass are inserted into the two openings, respectively, and shield the light-transmitting hole; a chip, provided on the upper surface of the substrate, wherein a photosensitive area of the chip faces the light-transmitting glass; and a packaging layer, provided on the chip and the upper surface of the substrate so as to package the chip on the substrate.

Abstract: A throwing hook including with particular, but not exclusive, use in arborism is disclosed. The hook includes a body that extends in a plane to form a bight profile and a shackle. The shackle includes a loop through which a line can be secured. The shackle is secured to the body such that the shackle and the body can pivot freely with respect to one another about an axis that lies within the plane. Embodiments may further include release elements operable by a user to facilitate release of the hook from an anchorage.

Abstract: A retractable ornament hook system including a hook assembly having a base having a port, a retractable hook, and a locking mechanism. The retractable hook is configured to retract into and extend from the port located within the base. The retractable hook is able to be locked in a desired extended position relative to the base for use via the locking mechanism. The hook assembly is mountable to an ornament for supporting the ornament on a tree during the extended position.

Abstract: An electromechanical differential motion sensor is disposed to detect transverse motion of a first piece relative to a second piece. The sensor includes a base anchored to the first piece, a lever arm that engages the second piece, a hinge, a retention mechanism, and a fuse wire. The hinge connects the lever arm to the base, such that the lever arm rotates relative to the base when the second piece displaces laterally with respect to the first piece. The retention mechanism retains the electromechanical differential motion sensor in a closed position wherein a first jaw of the base is aligned with a second jaw of the lever arm. The fuse wire carries an electrical signal current, and extends through the jaws such that transverse motion of the second piece relative to the first piece deflects the sensor from the closed position to an open position, thereby severing the first fuse wire.

Abstract: A horse lead clip assembly for connection between horse tack that includes an upper clasp section with a hook and bolt closure and a lower quick detachable end that allows for the replacement of a broken clip with a new clip portion when excess stress is placed upon the hook of the clasping section. The assembly further includes a sleeve that when actuated laterally, allows for the introduction or removal of a new clasp section from the receiving end of the detachable portion. The assembly provides easy replacement of a broken clip, prevents the user from discarding the rope due to the broken clip, and allows a user to leave the clip hooked on one object while detaching it from the other.

Abstract: A key-hook comfortably hangs keys and other key-ring accessories within a clothing pocket, which prevents the keys and other key-ring accessories from contacting and wearing out the bottom of the clothing pocket. The key-hook includes a key-ring loop, a curved bridge, and a hook. The hook is connected to the key-ring loop by the curved bridge, which allows the edge of the clothing pocket to smoothly move against the key-ring loop and into the hook. The hook has a shank section, a bend section, a point section, and a gap. The edge of the clothing pocket is positioned within the gap and is embraced by the shank section, the bend section, and the point section. The shank section has a first concave portion, and the point section has a second concave portion, a convex portion, and a rounded tip. The gap also has a wide opening and a narrow space.

Abstract: Cable adjusting devices are presented including: a base plate; a pair of walls connected with the base plate along a top surface, where each of the pair of walls includes an outer surface and an inner surface, where the inner surfaces of the pair of walls form a v-groove, and where the inner surfaces include, a number of gripping ridge pairs, and a locking ridge pair disposed alongside one end of the number of gripping ridge pairs at the distal end of the base plate; a keeper bar extending between the pair of walls at the proximal end of the base plate; and an attachment point disposed along the bottom surface of the base plate along at least the distal end or the proximal end.

Abstract: A clipping jointer structure including a hooking member, a first moving fastener and a second moving fastener is provided. The hooking member is assembled to a rigid body, and has a suspending portion to buckle the hooking member onto one side of the rigid body. The first moving fastener is disposed on a board of the hooking member, and has an operating portion to buckle the first moving fastener onto another side of the rigid body or separate the first moving fastener from the rigid body. The second moving fastener is disposed on the board of the hooking member, and has a supporting portion to buckle the second moving fastener onto the structure body.

Abstract: A retaining latch or strap for use with tie-down hooks has an elastically deformable body, which includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall. The sidewalls are joined together at first and second ends, and are spaced apart by a strut extending transversely between them to define first and second hook openings. The latch may include a handle extending from one end of the body.

Abstract: A tag hanger is provided and may include a first portion having a first attachment feature and a first locking element movable from an unlocked state to a locked state. The tag hanger may additionally include a second portion having a second attachment feature rotatably attached to the first attachment feature and a second locking element movable from an unlocked state to a locked state. The second portion may cooperate with the first portion to define an aperture that attaches the first portion and the second portion to an external structure when the first and second locking elements are in the locked state.

Abstract: The present invention describes a horse lead clip assembly for connection between horse tack that comprises an upper clasp section with a hook and bolt closure and a lower quick detachable end that allows for the replacement of a broken clip with a new clip portion when excess stress is placed upon the hook of the clasping section. The assembly further comprises a sleeve that when actuated laterally, allows for the introduction or removal of a new clasp section from the receiving end of the detachable portion.

Abstract: A cargo securing device is shown and described herein. The cargo securing device may include a strap, and a body member having an opening, the strap positioned in the opening. The cargo securing device may also include a securing mechanism located in the body member, where the strap is moveable in a first direction free from engagement with the securing mechanism and where the strap is moveable in a second direction engaging the securing mechanism generally securing the strap within the body member and fixing an operative length of the strap.

Abstract: A cycling shoe can include a hook, or other device on the shoe which can be used together with another device, such as with a rubber band, to position the shoes on a bicycle in a desired position. The shoes can be clipped into pedals on the bicycle, and the hook and rubber band can be used to position the shoes and crank arms of the bicycle in the position desired by the user. The hook can be on the arch side of the shoe. The hook can be separate from the tightening system.

A padeye is rigidly attached to the end curved portion of the U-shape of the structure. Means for holding the U-shaped structure in position on the tip end of the hook is provided. The holding means may be threaded bores through one or both sides of the U-shaped structure that allow bolts to be threaded through the holes such that they create sufficient friction against the tip end of the transfer hook to hold the U-shaped structure in position. The holes through the U-shaped structure may be unthreaded with threaded nuts rigidly attached to the U-shaped structure such that the nuts are aligned with the holes to allow bolts to exert pressure against the tip end of the transfer hook in the same manner to hold the U-shaped structure in position on the transfer hook.

Abstract: An adjustable link assembly for use with a flat cross-section shock cord or other strap formed of elastomeric material. The adjustable link attaches the cord to a load-bearing member, such as a hook or other fitting, which may be formed integrally therewith. The link assembly includes a body member having an entrance/exit passage for the strap, and a sliding crossbar over which the free end of the strap is routed. When the main leg of the strap is tensioned, the crossbar is drawn against a stationary bridge piece of the body member, the crossbar and bridge piece having cooperating sloped surfaces that are angled in a reverse direction from a straight line path from the top of the crossbar to the opening of the entrance/exit passage. The cooperating faces thus force the strap into a reverse bend or kink, which locks the strap in position so long as the main leg of the strap is subjected to tension.

The shell has at least one through opening capable of accommodating an element for attaching said wire rope such as a pin or a rope fastener which passes through the wire rope. The spigot end is designed to cooperate with said socket end like a bayonet.

Abstract: A method for securing a rolled cargo strap may include the steps of attaching a hook of a securing device to an attachment clip of the cargo strap. A strap of the securing device may be passed around a circumference of the rolled cargo strap so that the strap of the securing device is at least partially overlapped. A hook component may then be engaged with a loop component of hook and loop material attached to the strap of the securing device so that the strap of the securing device remains in an overlapped configuration.

The holder comprises a ring, a snap hook type fastener attached to the ring in swivel fashion, and a rigid or semi-rigid tag suspended from the ring by a strap. In one embodiment the tag comprises two members or halves hingedly connected to each other in clamshell fashion so that the two members can be folded together held together via hook and loop type fasteners. The glove may be secured to the holder a via hook and loop type fastening surface located on the glove. The holder can also secure an article not having a hook or loop type fastening surface by draping the article over the hinge.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a wearer-friendly hook and eye closure for garments such as brassieres. In order to provide comfort, the eye closure component of the hook and eye closure includes, as part of its structure, a laminated foam or rubber-type padding. This foam or rubber could also be used without lamination. The foam or rubber-type base provides a cushion shielding the wearer from the feeling of the metal hardware. The foam edges also provide soft edges on the eye tape for extra comfort to the wearer. In addition, the backing material of this laminated foam eye tape is printable, so that label instructions can be printed on to it, and the brassiere can be designed tag-free for additional comfort. This hook and eye tape is also dyeable, so it can be offered in any desired color.

Abstract: A retractable coat hook system that may be used within automobile interiors includes an integral damper and latch mechanisms. The coat hook of the coat hook system may be opened or closed by pushing on the hook. The integral damper gives the coat hook a slow, smooth motion as it opens and closes and latches to the coat hook housing. The retractable coat hook system reduces the number of components typically used with known coat hooks, resulting in reduced costs and improved assembly operations.

Abstract: A shortening hook for strands of round link chain. A safety body is arranged in the mouth of the hook. The safety body is moveable by hand against the tension of a reset spring from the area of the mouth of the hook transversely to the trajectory motion of the hook. An operating link projects into the mouth of the hook and is arranged at the end section of the safety body. This operating link can be pressed back when the hook shaft takes hold so that the safety body frees up the mouth area.

The portion of the clip below the tongue slot is made of flexible material and comprises flexible portion (18) of the clip.

Abstract: A hook for webbing comprises a metal rod bent in a single piece having an upper cross piece (1) intended for receiving a webbing, said cross piece transforming into two legs (2, 2') which converge from opposite ends thereof so as to form a loop part together with the cross piece, at least one of the legs transforming into a curved portion (4, 4') forming a lower hook part (5). The curved rod portion (4, 4') of the hook part (5) has a height which is larger than the width thereof in a cross-section in the area of the bottom of the hook part and thus a moment of inertia which is larger than the moment of inertia of a conventional round rod. In addition, the cross piece (1) has a cross-section-wise larger height than width and is, with the geometrical normal or major axis thereof, obliquely inclined in relation to the legs, more precisely into a plane of forces extending towards the hook part (5).

Abstract: An apparatus for attaching a trim cover to an attachment feature in a vehicle includes a retainer having first and second co-extruded portions. The first portion is adapted for attachment to the trim cover, and the second portion is adapted to engage the attachment feature. The first portion includes a relatively flexible material to facilitate flexing for attachment. The second portion includes a relatively rigid material to facilitate rigid engagement with the attachment feature. A method for attaching a trim cover to an attachment feature in a vehicle is also described.

Abstract: The present invention is used to fasten a cover around an external faucet. The cover protects the faucet. The cover is thermally insulated and has a cavity that is structured and arranged to receive the faucet. The cover has a wall, which wall has an opening therein. The wall has a first side and a second side, with the first side being located in the cavity. There is a coupler that has an anchor and a shank. The shank is received by the wall opening and extends out therefrom. The anchor is located inside of the cavity. The anchor is structured and arranged to be coupled to the faucet. There is a stop located on the shank at a position that is outside of the cavity. A spring is located on the shank so as to be interposed between the stop and the cover wall. The spring provides resiliency between the stop and the cover wall so as to allow the coupler to be pressed in towards the faucet without moving the stop.

Abstract: An attachment mechanism for an auxiliary luggage case which is attached to a main luggage case to attach an auxiliary luggage case for support on and by an exterior surface of the main luggage case. The attachment mechanism includes a flexible elongated belt member connected to the main luggage case, a hook member connected to an outer end of the belt member, and a pocket having a size sufficient to contain the hook and the belt member. A selectively openable and closeable cover member allows access to the pocket to remove and extend the belt member and the hook member, and also restricts access to the pocket and fully confines the retracted belt member and hook member within the pocket. The hook member is preferably pivotal to an extended position in which to attach to luggage and to a retracted position which consumes less space than in the extended position.

Abstract: An adjustable drapery support assembly comprises a vertical elongated base which can be attached at its lower end to the rear surface of a drapery at a point opposite a preformed pleat therein, with the upper end of the base adjacent the upper edge of the drapery. The base is provided at its upper end with a hinged clamping arm which engages the upper edge of the drapery, thereby inhibiting outward sagging of the top thereof. In a preferred embodiment, the clamping arm is provided with a plate member of limited vertical dimension adapted to enter the open end of the pleat, thereby maintaining the angular orientation thereof. The support assembly includes an adjustable hook assembly which can be attached at any desired point along the length of the base.

Abstract: A load balancing device for rotating apparatus such as washing machines and vehicle tires. In one embodiment the present invention consists of an inner conduit defining an interior raceway which contains a high density fluid mass which shifts to oppose load imbalances. Universal mounting brackets are provided attached to the balancing ring to the rotating structure. The attachment brackets are slidable along the ring and adjustable and adapted for securement in various arrangements. In other embodiments the attachment brackets are adapted to accomodate various wheel configurations and bolt spacings for vehicles.

Abstract: An adjustable drapery support assembly comprises a first elongated plate member adapted to be inserted into the top of a pleat or fold in a drapery, and a second plate member hinged at its top to the top of the first member, with the edges of the members in substantial alignment. At a point spaced from the hinge, the plates are provided with interlocking means to secure the assembly to the drapery. The aligned edges of the plates are provided with suitable gripping means which supports the top of the drapery and prevents downward sagging. Along a side edge of the second plate opposite that aligned with the first plate, there is provided an adjustable attaching means including a hook assembly which can be attached at any desired point along the length of the plate.
