Abstract: A precision delivery vehicle having a vehicle body assembly, a fixed wing system, a rotor system and a guidance system. The vehicle body assembly can retain a payload. The fixed wing system includes first and second wings coupled to the vehicle body for fixed wing flight. The rotor system includes a mast structure, a rotor hub rotatable about the mast structure and at least two rotor blades coupled to the rotor hub and rotatable with the rotor hub relative to the mast structure. The at least two rotor blades are movable between a collapsed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the collapsed configuration, the precision delivery vehicle is in fixed wing flight. Upon placement of the at least two rotor blades into the deployed configuration, the precision delivery vehicle is placed into rotative flight. The guidance system is structurally configured to direct the precision delivery vehicle to a target.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a rope assembly (1) consisting of at least one rope (2) that is made of textile fibre material and is folded back to form two substantially parallel rope portions (2?, 2?), wherein load distribution between the two rope portions is enabled and the rope portions are surrounded by a common sleeve (4). The rope assembly according to the invention is particularly suitable as a winch rope or as a rope for drive pulley drives, e.g., as a lift cable, in Koepe hoists and in capstans.

Abstract: It is very common phenomenon that babies drop their toys or spoons down on the floor or ground while they playing with toys or eating food with spoons as sitting on the baby carriage or babies' chair. The present invention is a protection net on which a purse or bib is attached; which is designed to catch a toy or spoon when one-to-three-year-old baby drops his or her toy or spoors, down while he or she plays with a toy or eating food with a spoon as sitting on the babies' chair or babies' carriage.

Abstract: An improved article of footwear of the invention includes an upper, an adjustable closure system affixed to the upper, the closure system having a guide member having a first groove portion and a second groove portion, a fastening member positioned opposite the guide member and having at least two tensioning members, and removable cable assembly connecting the guide member and the fastening member, wherein the cable assembly extends sequentially through the first groove portion of the guide member, a first tensioning member of the fastening member, the second groove portion of the guide member, and a second tensioning member of the fastening member, a bottom secured to the upper, a stabilizing member positioned between the upper and the bottom, wherein the stabilizing member has a base portion and at least one of a lateral support portion and a medial support portion extending upwardly from opposing sides of the base portion.

Abstract: A self-advancing knee ascender featuring: a piece of webbing; at least two lengths of tubing encased by the piece of webbing; a second piece of webbing attached to the appropriate middle of the at least two lengths of tubing, wherein the second piece of webbing includes a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is arranged to form a webbing loop; a first linking mechanism removably attached to the webbing loop; a mechanical ascender attached to the second end of the second piece of webbing; a cord having a first end and a second end, wherein the cord is inside the at least two lengths of tubing, wherein the cord exits one tube, forms a cord loop, and enters another tube; and a second linking mechanism attached to the cord loop.

Abstract: A key-hook comfortably hangs keys and other key-ring accessories within a clothing pocket, which prevents the keys and other key-ring accessories from contacting and wearing out the bottom of the clothing pocket. The key-hook includes a key-ring loop, a curved bridge, and a hook. The hook is connected to the key-ring loop by the curved bridge, which allows the edge of the clothing pocket to smoothly move against the key-ring loop and into the hook. The hook has a shank section, a bend section, a point section, and a gap. The edge of the clothing pocket is positioned within the gap and is embraced by the shank section, the bend section, and the point section. The shank section has a first concave portion, and the point section has a second concave portion, a convex portion, and a rounded tip. The gap also has a wide opening and a narrow space.

Abstract: A cover-material fixing clip includes: a chuck that pinches a locking hem formed on a back surface of a cover material; a hook that locks a wire provided in a groove of a cushion material; and a guide lever that is provided facing an opening of the hook. A proximal end of the hook is connected to a bottom of the chuck opposite to the cover material. The guide lever is connected to a side surface of the chuck.

Abstract: The present invention provides a chain hook which reduces the risk of disengagement of one or more chains connected thereto. The chain hook comprises an elongate body, a first hook at a first end of the elongate body for connection to a load and a second hook at a second end of the elongate body for connection to at least one chain, wherein the first and second hooks are in different planes.

Abstract: The present invention provides an asset retention system, comprising: an elongate housing configured to receive a plurality of home keys and a visitor key; and an elongate slider coupled to the elongate housing and configured to selectively retain and release the plurality of home keys and the visitor key; wherein the elongate slider comprises a plurality of keyed holes corresponding to the plurality of home keys; wherein the plurality of keyed holes each comprise a narrowed portion configured to retain an associated home key when the elongate slider is translated in a first direction and a widened portion configured to release the associated home key when the elongate slider is translated in a second direction; and wherein the plurality of home keys are selectively retained and released simultaneously. The elongate housing and elongate slider are disposed in a cabinet. Each of the plurality of home keys is coupled to an asset.

Abstract: A shower curtain fastener includes a body portion adapted to couple to a shower curtain rod and a shower curtain. A hook portion formed integrally with the body portion includes a first segment extending substantially vertically downward from the bottom section of the body portion and a second segment extending outwardly to receive items apart from the shower curtain.

Abstract: A combination clip and hook (clip) for use generally in suspending articles, which is rotatably movable about a rotary joint between a first position in which two opposing, rotatably joined portions of the overall clip structure are oriented together to form a continuous, enclosed shape that can be secured around another, and a second position in which the two portions of the structure are rotated out of the enclosed shape, and into, for example, a S shaped hook where one portion of the structure supports the item and the other portion can be applied to another supporting member. The joint between the two portions can define a spring-loaded rotating pivot assembly with at least two indexing positions opposed by 180 degrees. The rotary joint can be constructed with a pair of confronting male and female wedge and detent inserts that are biased toward each other by an embedded spring assembly.

Abstract: A retainer comprising first and second frames each including at least one arm. The frames are movably coupled and operative to be selectively oriented between an open state and a closed state. The arms are cooperative to form a closed loop when the frames are in the closed state. The frames may include pairs of arms that cooperate to form a pair of closed loops. The arms extend from respective first and second body portions which include cooperative alignment features, such as mating tongue and groove features. The arms may also include alignment features, such as pins sized and configured to mate with receptacles. The retainer also includes a fastener for selectively permitting movement between the open and closed states.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to mounting clips and structures to support the mounting clips. One such clip is substantially annular in nature. The mounting clip may have internal grip strips within its interior to better enable the clip to engage the supported item. Other clips involve the use of a suction cup and other designs. The mounting clips may be used with a tripod or a monopod, and in some embodiments a tripod with flexible legs utilizing ball and socket joint connectors which, when interconnected, form a flexible assembly. Each connector includes a body with a first and second end portion. An external socket engaging surface is provided at one end of the body. The other end of the body has an internal cavity. The socket engaging surface of one connector is snapped into the internal cavity of another to interconnect the connectors. In some embodiments, the ball and socket joint connectors utilize an over-molded strip around the outside of the connector to facilitate in their use for gripping.

Abstract: An easy to use, inexpensive fastener device that is generally shaped like the letter “H,” or similar cross-connected structure, which is used for bundling multiple items in conjunction with a closed loop band. The multi-purpose fastening device has a simple structural design such that a continuous length of cord or elastic may be looped around one of the uprights of the “H,” wrapped around a bundle of items, and then looped around the other upright of the “H,” thus holding the items together. The clip may be constructed of plastic, metal, or other rigid material and may be of varying size, thickness, and tensile strength, depending on the weight to be supported.

Abstract: A hanging device attachable to overlapping siding members for supporting objects comprises an insert edge extending outwardly from an upper section, an offset section, and a lower section. The insert edge is insertable into the joint between adjacent siding members and the lower section includes a support element adapted to retain objects. The offset section extends between and joins the upper section with the lower section, with the offset section spacing the lower section from a siding member when the insert edge is inserted between adjacent siding members. The hanging device may be biased about a pivot area when an object is held by the support element such that the insert edge is urged into the joint between adjacent siding members. The insert edge defines an obtuse angle relative to the upper section and the support element may comprise hook members or mounting holes.

Abstract: Restraint apparatus and methods for securing items are disclosed. The restraint apparatus include a retention element including an elongated arm secured to a body. The elongated arm defines a spiral to secure a fitting. The spiral of the elongated arm at least in part may define a gap to receive a fitting. A tether may be secured to the body of the retention element to extend across an item to be secured.

Abstract: A connector for detachably interconnecting a number of strips (3), each of which has at least one perforation (4) and which in at least one mutual connection position is flush with the perforations (4) in the other strips (3). The connector (1,10,16,21,26,31,36) comprises at least one pin (6,20,25,30,37) and at least one hook (5,8,9;11,14,15;17,18,19;22,23,24;27,28,29) attached to the at least one pin, the at least one pin is engaging the flush perforations in the strips in the connected state of these at the same time as the at least one hook is encompassing the strips, and the strips are detachably interconnected only by means of said at least one pin and said at least one hook. The connector has a simple construction and is able to easily and quickly connect two or more strips immediately in positions where co-operating perforations are flush with each other without the need to first pass the strips through the connector.

Abstract: A connecting profile of substantially uniform cross-section for interconnecting sheet piles. The connecting profile includes a central strip, from which two identical hooked profiles for hooking the locks of two sheet piles in a laterally reversed manner project in opposing main coupling directions. The hooked sections of the hooked profiles extend in a mirror-inverted manner in relation to each other. The two hooked profiles are offset relative to each other on the central strip in such a way that the main coupling directions of the sheet piles hooked into the connecting profile extend at least approximately in a common plane, when the locks engaged with the hooked sections take up the largest axial distance along the main coupling directions in relation to each other.

Abstract: There is a tonneau or covering device for covering an open storage portion of a vehicle. The tonneau includes a cover, a cord, and/or a plurality of couplers, such as but not limited to hooks. The cord is disposed circumferentially about the cover and coupled thereto through sheathes. There are double-hook couplers including a first hook removably coupleable to a cord and a second hook coupled to the first hook and removably coupleable to the vehicle. The second hook may include a U-shaped member. The first hook may include a tapering hook opening. The first hook may include a flexible hook opening.

Abstract: A survival hook consisting of a pair of hooks rotationally attached to a plate which is itself provided with fastening means to retain the plate over clothing, typically over the forearm of a user. The plate can be of a strap-on type by way of fastening means or can be sown as part of the clothing or alternatively, it can be fixedly attached to the clothing by mechanical fastening means, adhesive means or combination thereof. The hands are always free and unencumbered and the moving elements are simple enough that it is unlikely that jamming through frost or packed snow or ice can occur and hinder proper operation of the invention. The pair of hooks are normally folded against the plate so as not show their pointy ends, and are folded out only when needed.

Abstract: An improved becket structure is provided. The becket contains a first adjustable hook member and a second adjustable hook member, both of which can be opened and closed by a mechanism. As such, it is very convenient for a user to replace a cable connected to either one of the adjustable hook members. In addition, the mechanism also enhances the becket's strength to withstand greater tensions.

Abstract: A hook is capable of hooking a chain at a desired length. The hook comprises a hook body, and a buckle above the hook body. The buckle has a U shape opening. Width of the shape opening is confined by the size of a chain to be hung. The buckle, has a penetrating groove which penetrates two inner sides of the buckle and one outer side of the buckle. A spring and a movable shaft pass through the penetrating groove. The movable shaft is positioned by a pin so that the spring is compressed by the movable shaft and the movable shaft will not drop out of the buckle. A notch is formed at a predetermined portion of the movable shaft. A semi-round groove is formed at a coupling portion of the buckle and the notch, and the semi-round groove is positioned across the two inner sides of the buckle.

Abstract: A device designed to simplify the breastfeeding process. The invention is particularly useful to a breastfeeding mother. The device holds the mother's shirt securely out of the way by hooking onto her bra and her shirt, thereby freeing her hands to hold her baby and making expensive maternity shirts unnecessary.

Abstract: A quick-connect/quick-release wire hanger provided in a variety of configurations for use in a variety of applications. The wire hanger of the invention is formed of a substantially planar center portion having first and second pairs of opposing peripheral edges, such as a square or rectangle. A first pair of wire clips extends from the first pair of opposing peripheral edges and are angled upwardly relative to the planar center portion, each of the pair of wire clips includes a hook portion. A second pair of wire clips extends from the second pair of opposing peripheral edges and are angled downwardly relative to the planar center portion, each of the second pair of wire clips also includes a hook portion.

Abstract: An apparatus is used to mount a spirit level on an elongate support such as a pipe, length of wood or the like so that the effective “levelling line” is greatly lengthened. The apparatus includes an elastic band having first and second ends and a body member to engage the level, preferably by bridging a rib on the level or by fitting to an aperture formed in the level. The body member has first and second hooks extending from it to receive the first and second band ends, respectively. In highly preferred embodiments, there are two elastic bands and two body members, each with a pair of hooks for engaging and retaining a respective one of the bands.

The portion of the clip below the tongue slot is made of flexible material and comprises flexible portion (18) of the clip.

Preferably, the hollow members are crimped so to avoid the use of adhesives. More preferably, the eyelet members are positioned on a cable or chain such that when the clasp is connected, the hook member will be directed away from the wearer.

The loop portion (110) defines a free internal space (111), which is dimensioned to enable pulling through the hoisting chain (50) for adjustment of its effective length and which directly adjoins the support slot (132).

Abstract: A cosmetic accessory clasp includes two or more clips for holding longitudinally extending articles. For example, the clasp accommodates both a lipstick barrel and a lip liner pencil. The clasp includes two or more open clips, such as an open clip having attached at the closed portion thereof a smaller clip adjacent to the larger clip. The larger lipstick barrel is inserted by the spring action of the larger clip and the lip liner pencil is insertable in the smaller clip adjacent to the larger clip. The clasp may hold other related longitudinally extending articles, such as eyebrow pencils and the like.

Abstract: A safety latched hook has a hook link, a latch and a spring biasing the latch to a closed position. The hook link has a bend in a closed side opposite a latch end. The a chain attachment opening, defined as the distance from the latch end to the closed side, is at least as wide as the thickness of the material for the hook link. The hook can receive a chain of the same thickness material within the chain turn of the hook link, and does not require any further attachment mechanism to attach to a chain.

Abstract: The invention comprises an additional zipper lock attachment. The zipper lock attachment is form of a spring steel rod with its ends overlapping one another in parallel flush engaged position. An intermediate portion of the steel rod has lateral bend.

Abstract: A decorating system enables decorative articles to be hung from high places with safety. The decorating system comprises a dual hook and an adapter. The dual hook has a ring, a first hook, and a second hook. The decorative article is held by the second hook. The adapter is attached to the end of a pole. The adapter has a finger that is insertable into the dual hook ring. A person manipulates the pole to locate the dual hook first hook over a selected support member. The dual hook is lowered slightly to rest the first hook thereof on the support member. Then the adapter finger is removed from the dual hook ring. To take down the decorative article, the adapter finger is reinserted into the dual hook ring, and the pole is manipulated to lift the dual hook off the support member and return the dual hook and decorative article to the ground.

Abstract: A tieing device in the form of a wire element preferably made of spring steel consists of a straight piece of wire with an elbow and two hooks facing in opposite directions. The wire element is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and furthermore simple to apply. Fitting the wire elements uses a particular oblique placement of a wire-element magazine and two plungers, one of which displaces the wire element sideways and the other subsequently pushes one hook under one of the reinforcing rods.

Abstract: A repair device is provided for repairing a broken wire. The repair device includes at least one elongated body having first and second hooks at opposing ends thereof, the first and second hooks opening inwardly towards the body. At least one locking member is operatively associated with at least one of the hooks. The locking member has a base portion and wing members extending outwardly from the base portion in opposing directions when disposed in a first position. The wing members are manually moveable from the first position wherein ends thereof are directed away from a longitudinal axis of the base member, to a second, locking position folded upon the wire connected to the at least one hook such that the wire portion is secured between surfaces defining the wing members.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for fastening and shortening loop type necklaces or chains using a fastener device having no moving parts which includes a fastener body formed to include first and second fastener curves and first and second fastener holding spaces. The fastener device operates to engage respective ends of a necklace and hold such ends in corresponding fastener holding spaces such that the fastener device balances the pull of each of the ends of the necklace.

Abstract: A combination cage locking and latching device made from a light gauge wire or molded plastic which is rotatably fixed to the cage door top horizontal wire. The device consists of shaped wire having a locking portion, a latching portion, and a "U"-shaped mounting portion formed between the locking portion and the latching portion at a position nearer to the locking portion. The locking portion is formed sufficiently long to extend below and to engage a first horizontal rod to prevent unauthorized opening, and the latching portion is formed and positioned to extend outside the cage for grasping and pulling the cage door upwardly to an open position and sufficiently long for engaging a second horizontal rod of said cage for holding the cage door in an open position.

Abstract: A repair device to refasten the ends of a broken strand of wire in a fence structure, especially such as a strand of barbed wire. The repair device provides at least two similar releasably interconnectable portions, each having a first medial interconnecting hook defined at a first end of an elongate wire body and a second wire fastening hook defined at the second end of the wire body. A conic wire nut is movably carried on the wire body to receive the second wire fastening hook therein and fasten upon that second hook and a loop of fence wire carried by the hook to interconnect one end of the fence wire with the second end portion of the repair device. The wire nut defines peripherally extending wings to aid manual manipulation and may be formed with a slot or releasably interconnectable portion to allow placement on the wire body after formation. More than two of the repair devices may be joined to each other to span a greater distance between wire ends to be connected.

Abstract: An apparatus made of a single piece of resilient material has notches (101) with narrow openings, on the same side, on each end. An indentation (103) opposite each notch (101) creates a narrow, flexible segment (106) on each end of the apparatus. A printed circuit board inserted in one of the notches (101) will cause an end section (107) adjacent the notch (101) to flex, thereby allowing the board to enter into the narrow notch opening. Once the board has been inserted, the resilient material of the apparatus will cause the flexed end section (107) to attempt to return to its original shape. This will force the end section (107) up against the board thereby holding the board in place within the notch (101). This simple design allows the apparatus to be manufactured relatively inexpensively.

Abstract: A zipper securing device which comprises of a circular clip open at one end which can be sprung over or around a button as a means of attaching invention to the material in which the zipper is fitted, an eyelet as a means of attachment by sewing and a hook as a means of attachment to the zipper tab securing it in the closed or zipped up position. It also comprises of a connecting member as a means of attaching said hook to said circular clip open at one end and an indentation providing a weakened area to allow a means of seperation between said circular clip open at one end and said connecting member.

The lower portion of the tab being removably fastened to the orifice in the top of the slide fastener of the zippered fly opening thus preventing the involuntary opening of the fly by a sliding zipper fastener.

Abstract: An end clip for attachment to the ends of finite strips of mesh-clad RFI/EMI shielding strips. A clip attachment is formed of a thin strip of metal, such as stainless steel, with hook-like flanges at opposite ends for securement to the edge margins of a mounting strip member of U-shaped cross section. The clip passes over the top of and partially compresses the end extremity of a tubular mesh-clad core strip mounted on the U-shaped strip. The end clip not only improves the appearance of the shielding strip end, but prevents possible snagging of the exposed tube end during use. A pointed tab, pressed out of the clip material, penetrates the core strip and resists accidental removal of the clip.

Abstract: An endotracheal tube holder which is particularly suitable for use during medical emergency situations. The holder comprises a pair of identical curved, plate-like hooking members and an interconnecting attachment band which encircles the patient's face and neck. Each of the hooking members has a dogleg opening for receiving and engaging the endotracheal tube when the hooking members are overlapped in position over the patient's mouth. The attachment band has segments of bristly fastening material of the type commercially available under the Velcro trademark which enable adjustment of its length to accommodate patient's of various sizes.

Abstract: Apertured blister packs or the like are displayed by being suspended from beyond the edge of a shelf by means of an integrally-formed hook which attaches to the shelf. Attachment is either through apertures in the shelf or to a shelf price molding with the aid of a resilient member. When the hook is secured directly to the shelf, the resilient member is an elastic band which positionally biases the hook against the price molding. The hook may be attached instead to a resilient spring clip which is selectively resiliently engaged in the price molding. A projecting portion of the hook is a ring having a small annular gap which permits apertures of the blister packs to be placed on the ring and suspended therefrom for display purposes.

Abstract: A hook is provided for fastening a filter bag thimble to a support member in a filter baghouse. The hook has a first eye for insertion of a tension member and a second eye through which the support member is inserted. The first eye is spaced from the second eye such that the tension member in the first eye is removable when the second eye is held by the support member.

Abstract: A connector for use in the securement of a first member, such as a cargo container, to a base support includes a base member, a post member extending from the base member in one direction and an attaching means for attaching the connector to the base support extending from the base member in the other direction. Restraining means provides vertical restraint to the container when the post member is positioned to extend into the opening of the web of the corner casting thereof and the container is restrained from movement in at least one horizontal direction. In one form, a restraining surface for the container is located on a cam pivotally mounted by the post member and in a second form, a restraining surface for the container is on the post member itself.
