With Stringer Tape Interwoven Or Knitted Therewith Patents (Class 24/392)
  • Patent number: 11350708
Abstract: A fastener stringer has a fastener tape provided with a tape main body portion and an element attaching portion and a plurality of fastener elements fixed by weaving to the element attaching portion of the fastener tape at the same time of weaving of the fastener tape, and is provided with a weaving structure with one pitch per one-rotation. A weft yarn of the fastener tape has a fineness larger than that of at least a part of a warp yarns disposed in the tape main body portion. Thereby, the productivity of the fastener stringer can be increased to reduce the cost. Further, the density of the weft yarn in the fastener tape can be increased, and the fastener tape can be less likely to be misaligned.

Abstract: A monofilament having, in cross section, a first width and a second width being orthogonal to the first width and being greater than the first width is helically wound about the circumference surface of the mandrel. Each helical unit included in the configured helix of the monofilament includes a pair of legs, a first coupling portion coupled between said pair of legs, and a second coupling portion coupled between one leg of said pair of legs and the other leg of a pair of legs in an adjacent helical unit. The second width of said first coupling portion is oriented along the axial direction of the mandrel. The first coupling portion in each helical unit in the helix is pressed such that the second width of the first coupling portion is widened in its width direction, thereby forming an engagement head.

Abstract: The invention provides a fastener stringer for a hidden slide fastener. Each of the fastener tapes includes a main tape body, a folded tape portion which is folded into a U-shape, and an element attaching portion. The folded tape portion includes at least two multiple-weave portions in which warp yarn forms a multiple-weave structure, and a single-weave portion arranged at least at one location of an intermediate portion of the folded tape portion. According to this, it is possible to enhance rigidity of the folded tape portion in a lateral direction of a tape, and to prevent a position of the warp yarn from being misaligned at the multiple-weave portion. Therefore, hiding performance of the hidden slide fastener can be enhanced.

Each of the coupling elements includes a coupling head having a height, and at least the longitudinal edge being longitudinally stretchable by at least 10% such that the pitch of the coupling elements remains smaller than an interval which is twice the height of the coupling head.

  • Patent number: 4718149
Abstract: A slide fastener comprises a reinforcement strip fixed to at least one surface of each stringer tape of nonwoven sheet material along its one longitudinal edge to which a row of coupling elements is attached by sewing stitches. The stringer tape is made of thermoplastic synthetic resin, and the reinforcement strip comprises a film of thermoplastic synthetic resin fused with or otherwise bonded to the stringer tape so as to form a reinforced longitudinal edge of the stringer tape. The reinforced longitudinal edge has an increased mechanical strength for protection against forces tending to tear apart the stringer tape along the sewing stitches. The reinforcement strips jointly have a transverse width larger than the width of a slider to protect the stringer tape from being worn away due to frictional engagement with a slider during use of the slide fastener.
