Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for sterile delivery of prostheses that protect refined and/or conditioned surface properties and thereby reduce aging of surface properties in prostheses. An example of the system includes a partially custom-shaped holder that also serves as an insertion tool that holds a customized dental prosthesis in a pre-defined position inside a titanium container that is hermetically sealed. Container materials serve as a getter or catalyst with respect to the osseoconductive surface. An example of the method includes laser welding to hermetically seal a metal container as packaging for a prosthesis with a metal foil, and the sterilization of the packaged and sealed prosthesis with dry heat.

Abstract: Disclosed are elements for producing a vascular clip and vascular clips produced with these elements. The element is essentially characterized by the fact that it includes a support plate, a clip tab including a gripping face, a unit for securing the clip tab and the edge face of the plate, two substantially identical brackets, each bracket substantially having the shape of a cylinder sector with a thickness Ep and including a through hole with an axis parallel to the generatrix of the cylinder, and a unit to secure the two brackets and the plate in such a way that the axes of the two holes are located on the same straight line perpendicular to the tab and that the opposite faces of the two brackets are set apart from each other by a value equal to the thickness Ep.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques for implementing a clamp assembly for disposable endoscopic sheaths are provided. A system includes a sheath, clamp assembly, and protective cover. The sheath may be configured to receive an instrument. The clamp assembly may include a first member coupled to a second member, wherein the first and second members may be placed in a clamping configuration and an open configuration. In the clamping configuration, the first member and the second member are configured to collapse a lumen of the sheath at a location between the first and second members, and in the open configuration the lumen is not collapsed between the first and second members. The protective cover may include a receiver configured to mate with the clamp assembly and to cause the clamp assembly to maintain the open configuration when the clamp assembly is mated with the receiver.

Abstract: A dual-clamping-mode clip having a pair of opposing jaw spaced apart from one another for receiving one or more articles or portion(s) thereof. The dual-clamping-mode clip is designed to work by pinching action and/or by scissor action depending on characteristics of the article(s) and/or portion(s) thereof being held by the clip. Some embodiments of the dual-clamping-mode clip has a material relief region to assist in holding the one or more articles or portion(s) thereof. Some embodiments of the dual-clamping-mode clip have clothesline gripping provisions to allow the clip to be used as a clothespin. Some embodiments of the dual-clamping-mode clip include macro gripping features and/or micro gripping features to assist with holding the one or more articles or portion(s) thereof. Other useful features and characteristics are disclosed.

Abstract: A positioning clip is removably attachable to a fastener of a quick-release fastener assembly on an access panel of an aircraft when the access panel is removed from the aircraft. The positioning clip holds the fastener in its full out position relative to the exterior surface of the access panel removed from the aircraft. The positioning clip attached to the fastener maintains the perpendicular orientation of the fastener relative to the exterior surface of the access panel and relative to the associated receptacle for the fastener on the structure of the aircraft when the access panel is reattached to the structure of the aircraft.

Abstract: An identification device adapted for attachment to an insulated electrical conductor includes a pair of generally-rectangular marking plates having planar first longitudinal horizontal surfaces. A plurality of laterally-spaced resilient tension members connect together corresponding side portions of the marking plates, thereby to bias the marking plates toward a normally closed condition in which the marking plate first surfaces are in contiguous engagement. The marking plates are separable against the biasing force of the tension members toward an open condition for receiving longitudinally between the plates and the tension members the free end of a conductor. Upon release, the marking plates are displaced toward a clamping condition in parallel spaced longitudinally-arranged contiguous engagement with diametrically opposed circumferential surfaces of the conductor. The marking plates are pivoted to the open condition about a pivot axis defined by chamfered end surfaces of the plates.

Abstract: An adjustable hose clip is provided for use with a pool cleaner debris bag, including a first member having a retaining arm and a second member having a retaining arm. The hose clip also includes means for connecting the hose clip to a pool cleaner debris bag and resilient means for resiliently biasing the retaining arms towards each other such that at least a portion of a pool hose can be retained between the retaining arms. In one example, the resilient means is adapted to automatically adjust the distance between the retaining arms to accommodate various pool hoses having various diameters within the range of a minimum diameter to a maximum diameter at least 50% larger than the minimum diameter. In addition or alternatively, an arrangement for cleaning a swimming pool can include an automatic pool cleaner, a debris bag, a hose and an adjustable hose clip.

A plurality of spaced-apart posts extend from the front surface adjacent the forward edge portion. Each clip has a U-shaped configuration with adjacent, spaced-apart first and second panels that are configured to receive and retain header portions of a plurality of bags in stacked adjacent relationship positioned therebetween. In addition, a plurality of ribs disposed parallel to the clamp member long axis and located on the inner surface of each one of said pair of clamp members aid in gripping the bag within the clamp by intercalation of the ribs of one clamp with those of the other clamp. During the bag opening process, the ribs stretch the bag material for effective cutting when the material is moved past the blade.

Abstract: An office accessory arrangement including a stationary support rail and a grip clip removably supported thereon. The grip clip includes a pair of opposed grip members joined to one another by a hinge arrangement for enabling relative pivoting of the grip members about a hinge axis. The grip clip has a biasing structure which relatively pivotably biases the grip members in opposite directions towards a closed position in which opposed inner gripping services of the respective grip members engage one another or engage a document therebetween. The support rail has a channel-like part which defines an outwardly opening narrow slot, with one side of the slot being defined by a cantilevered wall of the channel-like part. The grip clip, when engaged with the support rail, is disposed so that the cantilevered wall of the channel-like part projects into a slot defined within the support rail to securely position the grip clip thereon.

The leaf spring 16 further allows opening the belt clip 12 from the closed position to engage a belt, and to spring closed when the opening of the belt clip 12 is constrained below a predetermined angular displacement 34. The leaf spring 16 enables the belt clip 12 to remain latched in an open position when the opening of the belt clip 12 exceeds the predetermined angular displacement 34.

Abstract: A clamp for closing polymer bags. The clamp includes a pair of clamp members movable between a closed and an opened condition, each one of the clamp members having a jaw for engagement of a bag. Each clamp member has an inner and an outer surface. A hinge attaches the clamp members while biasing the clamp members into a closed configuration. Gripping means are disposed on the inner surface of each one of the clamp members. The gripping means include opposed striations on the inner surface of each clamp member. In addition, a blade having a blunted top surface is disposed on the inner surface of one of the clamp members and an anvil is disposed opposite the blade. When the clamp is in a closed, bag sealing configuration, the blunted blade surface abuts the anvil as the blade and anvil cooperate in securing the bag within the clamp. The blade includes a cutting edge for opening a bag when the clamp is moved across the bag surface.

Abstract: A garment hanger clip is provided with a pair of clip jaws having lateral projecting portions or extensions which prevent or reduce unintended release of the clip jaws when a series of hangers is pressed or pushed together. The projections or release guards are advantageously located beneath the pivot point of the clip jaws so that lateral or sideward force applied to the guards tends to close the jaws even tighter.

Abstract: A clothes hanger clasp, particularly to a clothes hanger clasp that will not easily fall off but can be loosened in a convenient way, includes a metal plate roughly in a "U" shape, where the metal plate is divided into an upper clasp plate and a lower clasp plate that are somewhat curled inwardly. On the upper clasp plate is a protruding part and a force applying mechanism that is curled inwardly. The protruding will enable stronger elasticity to for clothes hanger clasp, and, acting with the upper and lower metal clasp plates, it will tightly clasp onto the clothes hanger. The force applying mechanism facilitates easy application of force to loosen the hanger clasp, and it is designed so that the hanger clasp will not fall off easily, but it can be loosened in a convenient way.

Abstract: A bag closure clip including a pair of opposing T-shaped clip members held in pivotal engagement by a U-shaped metal spring. Each clip member includes a jaw, a handle, and a fulcrum. As the handles are squeezed toward each other, the jaws open to allow a bag, such as for snack food or cereal, to be inserted between the jaws. When the handles are released, the spring forces the jaws towards each other to grip the bag and hold it closed. The U-shaped spring is fitted over the fulcrum and is confined to the space between the clip members so that the outwardly facing surfaces of the clip members are substantially uninterrupted.

Abstract: A target attaching apparatus, which provides for the attachment of a target to any available structure, includes a spring-biased clamp connected to a mounting member. The clamp includes an attachment end opposite a handle end, wherein the attachment end is mounted onto a structure, such as a tree branch, and wherein the handle end is employed to open and close the attachment end. The mounting member, which is secured to the clamp, includes a cross-piece having opposed ends with a target secured to each end. In one embodiment, the mounting member is secured to the clamp by an adhesive and the target is secured to the cross-piece also by an adhesive. The user manipulates the spring-biased clamp to open the attachment end for securing the same to an available structure. This provides a variety of angles at which the target can be shot at. The apparatus is primarily of a wooden construction to withstand the impact of multiple bullets or projectiles which are directed toward the target.

The second arm includes a guide member for slidably and adjustably coupling the comfort clamp to the seat belt when the first arm is in its open position.

Abstract: A resilient clip or spring clip is disclosed which has a pair of jaw members and a generally U-shaped biasing member for connecting the jaws together and for biasing the jaws into a closed position. The biasing member has a pair of legs connected by a curvilinear central portion and a curvilinear support portion interior thereof. The central portion and support portion are connected by a bridge-like member, and define a channel therebetween. The sidewall of each jaw member has a closed sidewall extending along a substantial portion thereof and defines an arcuate surface. During actuation of the clip, the sidewall traverses through the channel in the biasing member, while the support portion defines and serves as a fulcrum for rotation of the jaws between the open and the closed positions, independently of any separate support member.

Abstract: A springingly urged clamp is especially useful with a small towel such as the type used in golfing service and is a palm sized clamp which is both easily manually engageable and easily manually manipulable. The clamp, and its affixed towel, can be attached to the golf bag, or any portion of the clothing to yield maximum easy utilization of the towel. In one embodiment, a golf towel's reinforcing ring is fed into a slot on one side of the clamp of the present invention and onto a post to ensure secure, but interchangeable engagement.

Abstract: A bag closure clip is provided which consists of a pair of arms, each having a handle at a first end and a jaw at a second end and a hinge mechanism for permitting pivoting the arms to move from an open position in which the jaws are separated to a closed position so that the jaws are together. Another mechanism is provided for biasing the arms to the closed position, so that the jaws are normally together, to make an airtight seal on a plastic bag. When the handles are manually squeezed together the arms will move into an opened position to separate the jaws and release the airtight seal on the plastic bag.

Abstract: A cord clasp is disclosed for holding together several loops or folds of an appliance cord in order to keep the cord tidy. The clasp includes two complementary facing jaw members, each having a cord surrounding portion and a handle portion separated by a pivoting ridge. A coil spring or other bias means keep the jaws or cord surrounding portions together. The jaw members are quite wide and taper to a gentle point to one side. The cord surrounding surfaces are generally curvilinear and can be more rounded in the vicinity of the points than otherwise, the roundness encouraging the cords to be grasped or held even though the cords may not come fully together when several thicknesses of cords are enclosed within the clasp.

The improvement includes providing one of the pivot arms with a backer wall therein to support a section of the spring which extends outwardly from the pivot portion and proximate the backer wall in the inside thereof and then bends to cross diagonally and inwardly toward the pivot zone of the two pin members and extends proximate the other of the arms in a diagonal spring span, so as to contact such other arm when an outward pressure of e.g. a clothesline, is applied to the spring span so that the pivot arms are pushed apart more tightly, closing the jaws more tightly on a load e.g. a towel.

Abstract: An article hanger of the type having an elongated body with dependent arms mounting article gripping clamps and rod support means which permits the rod to be assembled to the hanger body through a face of the body after the hanger has been molded. The support means includes a member for locking the rod into its supporting means in a manner preventing unintentional release. The hanger body also includes a third support for the rod to reduce load induced deflection. Article clamps for the hanger are so designed that they can either be mounted on the rod before assembly of the rod to the hanger body or the clamps can be assembled about the rod after installation of the rod on the hanger body.
