  • Patent number: 11389673
Abstract: An intraoral flexible mouthpiece including: a hollow dome portion including a peripheral proximal edge. The hollow dome portion extends distally, and the hollow dome portion includes a central orifice located at the distal portion of the hollow dome portion. A peripheral flexible sheet flange attached along the dome portion peripheral proximal edge. A tube attached to the central orifice and extending distally therefrom. The peripheral flexible sheet flange is configured to be placed in the mouth between the teeth and gums on one side and the lips and cheeks on the other side, and the hollow dome portion is configured to protrude distally out of the mouth.

  • Patent number: 10492880
Abstract: A surgical device for guiding electrodes into a tissue treatment region is disclosed. The surgical device includes electrodes configured to conduct current therebetween upon energizing at least one of the electrodes, a first body portion, and a second body portion. The first body portion and the second body portion are configured to operably form a first channel that extends along a first axis and a second channel that extends along a second axis. The surgical device further includes a predefined electrical ablation distance defined between the first axis and the second axis and a spring positioned between the first body portion and the second body portion. The spring is deformable between a first configuration and a second configuration, wherein the first channel is configured to open to receive one of the electrodes when the spring is in the first configuration. The first channel is configured to close and axially restrain the electrode received therein when the spring is in the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 6088889
Abstract: A manually operable clip operable as a hemostasis valve for use with intravenously inserted catheters. The valve preferably comprises a unitary piece of wire formed to have first and second jaw portions defining front and back ends that preferably include transversely extending arms formed thereon. The valve is further formed such that a spring portion is provided interconnecting the first and second jaw portions that extends intermediate the front and back ends thereof and between said transversely extending arms which is operable to bias the front ends towards each other such that when positioned upon the catheter, such biasing force causes the lumen thereof to assume a closed state. The back ends of the first and second jaw portions may be manually actuated to release the clip from the catheter.

  • Patent number: 4759103
Abstract: A manually operable quick action fastener, intended for both sporting and industrial use, consists essentially of a single length of wire which is formed into a closed triangular torsion spring having its torsion coils within the triangular shape and whose ends are formed, at the base of the triangle, into a closing hook and a locking arm. Other embodiments allow the closing hook to be strengthened by double winding or resin cladding, or both, and for higher load bearing models the wire winding of the basic triangular shape is modified to produce deflection limiting ends which allow the complete fastener to interlock and bear loads approaching the elastic limit of the material without slip of the parts.
