The portion of the detent or plunger that extends outwardly from the bore may be wedge-shaped, or possess other geometrical shapes, while the portion of the plunger disposed inside the bore is of a cylindrical shape or other geometrical shapes. The plunger comprises a plunger section and a biasing section in a unitary one-piece construction. At least one transition ledge is defined on the plunger. The shaft is staked at points along the perimeter of the bore so that the inwardly extending surface created by the staking abuts the transition ledge and prevents the plunger from rotating or being removed from the bore.

Abstract: A retention device for supporting a component relative to a wall of a home appliance is provided. The retention device includes a backing nut and a core piece that can be installed from a single side of the wall. The backing nut defines a central bore and includes a threaded surface. The core piece includes a body having a threaded portion configured to mate with the threaded surface of the backing nut and at least one flange projecting outwardly from a body of the core piece. The core piece is configured to be inserted into an aperture in the wall and rotated to engage the at least one flange with the wall.

Abstract: Apparatuses, devices and systems for attaching seatbelts to anchoring structures in aircraft and other vehicles, are described herein. In some embodiments, such apparatuses include a modular connector having a base configured to be attached to an anchoring structure, a body configured to be attached to a seatbelt, and an annular lock configured to releasably couple the body to the base. In these embodiments, the body carries the lock adjacent to an aperture configured removably receive the base. When the body is pressed over the base, the base passes into the aperture and contacts the annular lock, expanding the lock outwardly around the base. The base continues moving though the aperture in the body until the lock retracts into a groove in base, thereby releasaby locking the body to the base.

Abstract: Male and female parts of a buckle have mating shapes which together form ears and depressed eyes of an animal face. The male part has the shape of an anchor with eyes which slide into grooves to lock the parts, and ears which project upward from a slot in the cylindrical female part. Hooks on the female part back secure a cord loop which extends from the female part. A cover snaps on the back of the female part.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a clasp for the connecting of two parts comprising a first (1) and a second (2) clasp part consisting of, against the first part (1) fixed, and from this extending part (3), in the second part (2) an opening (3) the shape of which closely connects to the outer shape of the extending part (3) so that the second part (2) can pass over the latter as well as the means, to restrain the second part on the extending part (3), in the spring-loaded means (8, 10, 11) and an edge or groove (5) arranged inside the second part's opening. The clasp consists of spring-loaded means (6, 7) designed to move the parts away from each other upon the parts being released.
