  • Patent number: 8382021
Abstract: A bobbin has a body and a ring. The body has a seat, a spool and a winder. The seat has a taper surface with multiple stairs. The stairs have a guiding surface, and the guiding surfaces of all of the stairs face to a same direction. The spool is formed on the top of the seat. The winder is formed on the bottom on the seat. The ring is removably mounted on the winder to form an annular gap between the seat and the ring. A secured end of thread is wound around the annular gap. A free end of thread is wound around the seat and extends curvedly over one of the stairs. Therefore, the stairs each having one guiding edge prevent the thread from being broken.

  • Patent number: 8123157
Abstract: A cardboard tube, with respect to a narrow marginal end area of the same provided with a hollow interior roll, is applied against a rotatory die which has a concave surface suitable for forming an entrant perimetric step by means of constriction of the narrow marginal area. The diameter of the riser thereof is equal to the interior diameter of the cardboard tube. At the same time, against the interior hollow roll is applied a force of enough intensity to flatten the cavity of the interior hollow roll and apply the wall thereof against the interior face of the wall of the cantilevered end of the cardboard tube formed by the action of its rotatory die.

Abstract: A cabling spool for guiding or storing cable, such as is often employed in network racks or other cabling cabinets or enclosures to organize cable layouts and store excess cable, includes a spool body and an end flange. The spool body has a surface with a radius, sized to prevent a minimum bend radius of a cable from being exceeded. The end flange of the spool keeps cables passing about the spool body from leaving the spool. The end flange may be attached to the spool body in a number of positions, e.g., in an upward position, when a majority of cables pass over a top of the spool body; in a downward position, when a majority of cables pass over a bottom of the spool body. The end flange may optionally be rotated relative to the spool body.

  • Patent number: 7121500
Abstract: A stackable winding core in accordance with the invention has a male end and an opposite female end. The ends are configured in such a manner that they do not hinder or prevent the insertion of chucks or mandrels into the core for winding or unwinding of web material about the core. The male end of one core is receivable into the female end of another core so that the cores can be axially stacked end-to-end, the engagement between the ends of the cores keeping the core coaxially aligned with each other. The ends are also configured to support axial loads exerted between the cores.

  • Patent number: 6257512
Abstract: Magnetized bobbin cores are preferably wound with sewing thread to obtain sideless, pre-wound bobbins that have beneficial draw-off tensions, draw-off tension uniformity and overspin characteristics. The pre-wound sideless bobbins may thus be satisfactorily used in lock stitch sewing applications due to improved uniformity of draw-off tension combined with reduced bobbin overspin. The magnetized pre-wound sideless bobbins are also especially well suited for end-use sewing applications where automatic bobbin changing equipment is employed. Most preferably, the core is a cylinder formed of a thermoplastic or thermoset material in which magnetized particles are dispersed.
