Reinforcing Feature Patents (Class 242/118.31)
  • Patent number: 7802751
Abstract: There are provided a tape reel and a take-up reel at which it is possible to easily and inexpensively manufacture a hub having, at an outer peripheral surface thereof, a portion whose diameter is larger than diameters of each of the end portions of the hub, and a recording tape cartridge having the tape reel and a drive device having the take-up reel. At a tape reel 20 having a hub 22, which is made of resin on which a recording tape T is wound, and flanges 24, 26, which are provided at both end portions of the hub 22, a ring-shaped member 48, whose outer diameter is larger than an inner diameter of at least one portion of the hub 22, is press-fit in at an inner side of the hub 22. The tape reel 20 which has the hub 22 having, at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface, a portion whose diameter is larger than diameters of each of the end portions of the hub, is thereby easily formed.

  • Publication number: 20030034413
Abstract: A tubular paper yarn carrier for carrying a yarn strand includes a carrier wall defining inner wall surface and outer wall surfaces on opposite sides thereof. One end of the carrier wall defines a top and an opposed end of the carrier wall defines a base. An annular lip is formed on a terminal portion of the base and extends outwardly therefrom for strengthening the base and preventing slippage of the yarn strand off of the base of the carrier. In addition, an annular nose is formed on the inner wall surface proximate the top of the carrier. The annular nose has an outermost edge defining a diameter less than a diameter defined by the inner wall surface for nesting in the base of a like yarn carrier. The lip and nose are integrally formed on the carrier by a rotating tool.

  • Patent number: 6394386
Abstract: A paper reel for yarn packages, and especially a paper reel of which the upper end is cut into a ladder like multiple layered end, the cut wall is folded inwardly twice, so that the end of the paper reel is folded onto a shoulder of the ladder like cut and is fixed, and the end of the paper reel will not warp nor has a paper rough edge. Both ends of the paper reel are processed to form a round shape, the ladder like portion has cut wall portions on its shoulders; the cut wall portions are folded to the shoulders one by one, the thickness formed by the cut wall portions folded back to the shoulders can afford a larger pressure when the paper reel is subjected to an axial force, thereby, the cut wall portions will not warp. The inner surface of the paper reel thereby is a smooth surface to be smoothly slipped over a rotation axle, yarn on the paper reel can thus be uninterruptedly sent out for weaving.

  • Patent number: 6302343
Abstract: A textile tube (1) made in an injection-blow molding process and/or an injection evacuation process has a wall (2) with a wave profile with ring-shaped surrounding inward bulges (3) and outward bulges (4) alternately arranged side by side in an axial direction. The textile tube (1) has perforations (5). In several places arranged offset in relation to each other in a circumferential direction, the textile tube (1) has several strip-shaped areas (7) of a rigidity that differs from the rigidity of radially adjacent areas of the textile tube, and the strip-shaped areas (7) substantially follow the shape of the casing of the textile tube. In the case of fastenable textile tubes, a coupling is provided with a coupling aperture enclosed by a flexible wall area (16) and a matching rigid end lip (15) with the wall section (18) adjoining the end lip (15) being of equally flexible construction.

  • Patent number: 6199676
Abstract: An inflatable structure comprises an inflatable tubular member that is constructed of an elongate, flexible strip of woven fabric that is impervious to air and water. The elongate strip has a first elongate edge and a second elongate edge and is spiraled into a tubular shape such that the first elongate edge is adjacent the second elongate edge to thereby form a spiral seam. A first elongate tape member is thermobonded to an inner surface of the tubular member along the length of the spiral seam for sealing the spiral seam from inside. A second elongate tape member is thermobonded to the outer surface of the tubular member along the length of the spiral seam for reinforcing the spiral seam.
