  • Patent number: 6131841
Abstract: A yarn supply apparatus, particularly for textile machines, includes a rotary pulley over a holder body and a yarn supply reel under the holder body both of which are secured to a rotary shaft so that a yarn passed through in the order of a yarn guiding eyelet and a disk is wound around a number of elongated metallic rods located between two flanges to form a plurality of loops of yarn windings. The yarn stored on the metallic rods of the yarn supply reel is continuously let off from the lower side thereof to a let off guiding member. The yarn supply apparatus further includes a driving part having a cover for a holder body and a hollow portion in the interior thereof. A first pulley is rotated around a first shaft secured to the holder body and a second pulley is driven by the rotating power of the first pulley. Abstract: An apparatus and method for melt spinning a plurality of downwardly advancing multifilament polymeric yarns, and winding the advancing yarns into respective packages. Each of the advancing yarns is brought into contact with a separate yarn delivery mechanism which acts to control the yarn tension before the yarn is wound into a package. Thus, the yarn tension of all of the yarns can be made substantially the same when they are wound into packages, which permits all of the packages to have the same winding structure and the same packing density.

  • Patent number: 4803936
Abstract: A plurality of tension disk assemblies in an overedge sewing machine are disposed on a shaft supported for rotation around its axis and are spaced apart from each other in an axially distributed relationship. Each tension disk assembly comprises first and second tension disks forming a pair for holding therebetween a thread to be tensioned. The first tension disk is movable in opposite directions axially of the shaft, and the second disk is substantially immovable in the direction of the axis of the shaft. The resilient force of a spring acts on each first tension disk, whereby the latter is pressed against the second tension disk associated therewith. When the shaft is turned, as by a manual operating lever, this rotary motion is converted into a linear motion through a cam device. This linear motion removes the resilient force of the spring from the first tension disk. Thus, a thread tension released state is established simultaneously in the plurality of tension disk assemblies.

  • Patent number: 4694765
Abstract: A sewing machine is equipped with a needle thread tensioning device which has two gripping discs mounted on a pin. The gripping discs are connected via a spring mechanism with two adjusting members on the same axis capable of movement relative to one another, of which at least one is mounted on a threaded section of the pin. In addition, the tensioning device has a mechanism for occasional suspension of the effect of the spring. With the tensioning device, in spite of the common mounting of both the adjusting members on the same pin, two tensions of varying degrees, a main tension and an auxiliary tension, can be adjusted and transmitted to the needle thread independently of one another and quickly switched one for the other. For this purpose, the two adjusting members are designed as inner and outer parts and separated from one another by a stationary support placed between the inner and the outer part.

  • Patent number: 4548369
Abstract: A thread withdrawn from a bobbin is passed along a straight line through a plate brake. A base brake plate is driven by a drive extending outside the periphery of the base brake plate. A tensioning device removably attached to a top brake plate is connected therewith by a ball snap-type connection. It comprises a first compression spring with one end supported at a gripping sleeve and slideable along a pressing pin surrounded by this compression spring. The gripping sleeve is connected to a displaceable control plate extending parallel to the pressing pin. This control plate permits a simultaneous variation and adjustment of the pressure exerted by a number of such similar tensioning devices. A second compression spring surrounding the pressing pin is supported at a side of the gripping sleeve remote from the first compression spring and counteracts the first compression spring, so that the difference of the spring forces acts upon the top brake plate.
