Abstract: A pivotal ice fishing hole cover selectively covers a hole in an ice layer over a body of water, while permitting an ice fishing line to pass through and into the water. A ring rests adjacent to and circumscribes the ice fishing opening. A pair of hinges are affixed between the ring and a pair of pivotal lid portions, allowing the lid portions to pivot between a first closed configuration parallel to the ice that blocks the ice fishing opening and a second open configuration that allows access thereto. An ice fishing line opening between the pair of pivotal lid portions remains unobstructed regardless of wether the pivotal lid portions are closed or open. The closure is spring loaded, and with the push of a button will release from the lid, thereby allowing the spring hinges to pivot the lid from closed to open position.
Abstract: A fishing reel comprises a spool 14 which is provided in a rotatable manner with respect to a reel body 12, and around which a fishing line 24 is wound, and a winding mechanism 18 which is provided coaxially with the spool 14. Between the spool 14 and winding mechanism 18, a drag part 16, which transmits rotation of the winding mechanism 18 to the spool 14 at or below a predetermined torque, is provided. The winding mechanism 18 is provided with a power transmission member 44 provided coaxially with a main rotation shaft 30 which rotates with the spool 14 via a one-way clutch 40. A winding ring 45 provided coaxially with the power transmission member 44, a winding cord 47 whose one end is fixed to the winding ring 45, and which is wound around the winding ring 45, and a spiral spring 46 which rotates the power transmission member 44 in a rewinding direction are provided.
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention comprises a retractor for use with a depth finder unit. The retractor includes a depth probe on a length of cord, a winding mechanism, a ratcheting slip ring assembly, and a housing.
Abstract: The electric reel for fishing includes a spool rotatably supported between the side plates of a reel body and a driving motor arranged on the reel body for driving and rotating the spool. A concave part is formed on the reel body, an armature is rotatably arranged inside the concave part and a magnet constituting a magnetic field is mounted on the inner surface of the concave part opposed to the armature to constitute a driving motor for driving and rotating the spool.
Abstract: A compensation system for a spiral spring hysteresis selectively provides a reactive compressive force to the spring after retractive movement of the outermost spring end relative to a fixed axial center of the spring. Such reactive compressive force reflects what, otherwise, would be the difference between the reactive forces of extension and retraction of the spring and along an axis of greatest transmissibility of force to the spring. The spring constants of extension and retraction of the spring are resultingly compensated.
