Abstract: A sheet handling apparatus (for example, banknote handling apparatus 20) includes a storing and feeding unit (25) in which a sheet is stored on a rotary member (for example, drum (25a)) by winding the sheet on the rotary member and the sheet wound on the rotary member can be fed from the rotary member, a transport unit (23) that transports the sheet fed from the storing and feeding unit (25), a curl correction mechanism (70) that corrects a curl of the sheet transported by the transport unit (23), and a stacking unit (for example, banknote collection bag (34)) in which the sheet that has passed through the curl correction mechanism (70) is stacked.
Abstract: This invention relates to a tape applicator or tape head formed from a combination of two separated apparatuses namely a detachable unit containing a front portion of the tape applicator and a stationary unit containing a rear portion of the applicator with snap-on engagement there between to obtain the interactive motion of a conventional tape applicator i.e. the present invention separates a conventional tape applicator into two separate portions which results in the ability to quickly change tapes and reduces safety hazards.
Abstract: A method and a module are described for storing and dispensing flat items such as banknotes or wads of banknotes, wherein the items are retained between ribbon means and deposited on a rotating support element having at least two faces comprising one or more flat or convex portions, after crossing a pair of feed-in/dispensing main rollers. Means are provided for adjusting the length of the ribbon means along the portion that extends between the points of contact with the main rollers and the points of contact with the supporting element and/or with the items stored on the same.
Abstract: Described herein are a device and a method for storing and/or dispensing plane, rigid, or flexible items, such as banknotes, cards or the like. The items are stored sequentially between successive windings of ribbon means which are wound and unwound between a supporting element, driven in rotation by at least one electric motor, and at least one take-up member. The supporting element has a non-circular cross section for obtaining one or more distinct resting surfaces on which the ribbon means are wound.
Abstract: There are provided a tape reel, a recording tape cartridge, a take-up reel, and a drive device at which, when a recording tape is wound on a hub, fluctuations in an axial direction of the hub can be suppressed and occurrence of tape edge damage can be prevented. At a tape reel having a hub on which a recording tape T is wound and flanges which are provided at both end portions of the hub, a large diameter portion, whose diameter is larger than diameters of both end portion sides of the hub, is formed at the hub. The large diameter portion is offset, from a widthwise direction central portion of the hub, toward the one flange side or the other flange side.
Abstract: A recording tape cartridge includes a leader member that is attached to an end portion of recording tape and on both ends of which flange portions are formed, and holding portions that are formed in an upper case and a lower case and hold the leader member in the vicinity of an opening. Projecting portions are formed on the holding portions and overlap the flange portions on inner surface sides of the flange portions. Through holes are formed in the upper case and the lower case, whereby undercut portions are not present in the projecting portions. The case of the recording tape cartridge can be molded without complicating the configuration of the mold.
Abstract: There are provided a tape reel and a take-up reel at which it is possible to easily and inexpensively manufacture a hub having, at an outer peripheral surface thereof, a portion whose diameter is larger than diameters of each of the end portions of the hub, and a recording tape cartridge having the tape reel and a drive device having the take-up reel. At a tape reel 20 having a hub 22, which is made of resin on which a recording tape T is wound, and flanges 24, 26, which are provided at both end portions of the hub 22, a ring-shaped member 48, whose outer diameter is larger than an inner diameter of at least one portion of the hub 22, is press-fit in at an inner side of the hub 22. The tape reel 20 which has the hub 22 having, at least a portion of an outer peripheral surface, a portion whose diameter is larger than diameters of each of the end portions of the hub, is thereby easily formed.
