Abstract: A retractable cable system for coiling and uncoiling a cable. The system preferably includes an axle, a first drum having a spring nested inside the drum, a second drum, and a pulley assembly. The first drum is configured to be non-rotatably coupled to the axle while the second drum is configured to rotate around the axle. A cable is configured to wrap around the first and second drums and the pulley assembly, in which one of the ends of the cable is fixed to the system. The system prevents the cable from being twisted and allows the cable to maintain its geometry as the cable is being coiled and uncoiled.
Abstract: A yarn storage device (1) for a yarn-processing machine including yarn storage spaces (2) and at least one yarn loader (3) which can be moved to a selected yarn storage space (2) in order to connect an end part of the yarn supply (14) to an end part of an external yarn supply, and to add an amount of yarn to said yarn storage space (2) by winding the yarn (100) onto a winding-up body (6) and then removing it from the winding-up body (6) in the wound-up state and to add it to the storage space (2). The present invention also relates to a corresponding method and a yarn-processing machine fitted with such a yarn storage device.
Abstract: A drum inter-storage of yarn for a textile machine includes a driven rotary drum (10) with a compensatory rotary arm (103). The rotary drum (10) is coupled with a first drive formed by an electric motor, and a compensatory rotary arm (103) is coupled with a second drive formed by an electric motor, whereby both motors are connected to a control device. The invention also relates to a method of controlling the drum inter-storage (1) of yarn at an operating unit of a textile machine.

Abstract: Systems and methods for threading and feeding a length of wire into a wire-tying track, for withdrawing at least some of the wire from the wire-tying track to tension the wire around one or more objects, and for extracting waste wire from the system. The object of the invention herein being a feed and tension mechanism comprising a feed and tension wheel, an accumulator disk, a primary nip mechanism for frictionally engaging the wire at the contact region between the primary nip and the feed and tension wheel, a drive system having two independently operable motors, and wire guiding devices for directing and routing the wire through the feed and tension mechanism. The present invention may further comprise a supplementary nip mechanism to facilitate the threading of the wire into the mechanism, a wire stripping mechanism for extracting any waste wire from the mechanism, and a series of wire sensing devices in communication with a control system to sequence and control the operational cycles of the system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing a honeycomb body, which comprises a roll part for supplying a thin metal flat sheet via several rolls; a part for measuring the length of feed of the flat sheet which is fed through said roll part for supplying a flat sheet; a roll part for supplying a corrugated sheet to overlap the same onto said flat sheet via several rolls; a winding roll of a honeycomb body which is made by folding the overlapping flat and corrugated sheets in feed into a roll; a part for measuring the rotation angle of said winding roll; and a control part, which is connected respectively to said part for measuring the length and said part for measuring the rotation angle, wherein said control part controls the amount of winding of a honeycomb body by receiving and computing the measurement values therefrom.

Abstract: A vibration friction feed wheel mechanism for feeding thread to a thread processing machine having intermittent thread requirement. The feed wheel mechanism including a high friction contact surface, a thread guide level for lifting thread off of the feed wheel and a vibration generating arrangement for applying a vibrational movement to the thread. The vibration of the thread ensures that the thread lifts-off from the contact surface of the friction feed wheel by reducing the coefficient of friction between the thread and the high friction contact surface of the friction wheel.
Abstract: In connection with a vibration friction feed wheel mechanism, having a thread guide lever for inserting and removing a thread, the application of vibrations to the thread guide elements, or the application of vibrations to the thread feed wheel, is used to improve the removal properties of the friction feed wheel mechanism.
