Patent number: 7766270Abstract: A transportable insulated blanket roller has a support, and a riser coupled to and extending vertically from the support. A bearing support is coupled to the riser, and has an insulated blanket retaining rod passing through the bearing support. The rod has a bifurcation defining first and second insulated blanket holding rods that are operative to receive an insulated blanket therebetween. A crank produces a rotary motion in the retaining rod, in turn winding the blanket onto the blanket holding rods. The transportable insulated blanket roller is combined with a land vehicle having a trailer hitch receiver or comparable coupling or support, and an insulated blanket. A method of efficiently using the transportable insulated blanket roller at a construction site is also presented, including using the bifurcated roller to roll an unrolled insulated blanket, and then sliding the insulated blanket off of the bifurcated roller.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 2008Date of Patent: August 3, 2010Inventor: Douglas D. Patent number: 7185839Abstract: A razor wire dispensing and retrieving apparatus for installing razor wire along a perimeter to create a protective border and collecting the wire when the border is no longer desired. The razor wire dispensing and receiving apparatus essentially comprises a frame with a wire hanger and a wire spreader. The wire hanger and spreader function to permit efficient dispensing, retrieving, and transport of razor wire. Moreover, the frame attaches to a variety of vehicles, including military vehicles. As the vehicle travels along a perimeter, the apparatus dispenses wire from the hanger while the spreader keeps the wire aligned. The apparatus also includes a means of pivoting the frame on a horizontal axis. Pivoting the frame down from the dispensing position permits the apparatus to be used as a wire-retrieving device. In this position, the wire is loaded back onto the hanger as the spreader keeps the wire aligned.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2005Date of Patent: March 6, 2007Inventor: Samuel H. Albritton

Patent number: 6742737Abstract: A fishing line feeder spool support comprises a pair of flexible arms which are adapted to grip a fishing rod ahead of a fishing reel mounted thereon. The feeder spool support comprises a threaded shaft which rotatably supports a spool of fishing line while the fishing line is installed onto the fishing reel through the operation of the reel crank. A flanged nut is threaded onto the shaft to hold the spool. The line tension can be adjusted by tightening the flanged nut against the spool, thereby adjusting the pulling force needed to remove line from the supply spool. A crankable supply spool can also be installed on the shaft to remove and store fishing line from the fishing reel for later replacement on the reel.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2003Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Inventor: Jeffrey R. Patent number: 6618891Abstract: A rotary drum release assembly includes a multiple of lock pins which engage a rotary drum shaft to lock and unlock a rotary drum to a drain cleaning machine without the need for tools. The rotary drum release assembly is mounted within a support frame assembly. A rotary drum shaft groove is located within a sleeve mounted to the support frame assembly to minimize localized weakening of the shaft. Rotation of an actuating handle engages cam surfaces with the lock pins to overcome their spring bias of the lock pins and simultaneously drive the lock pins away from the shaft to allow release of the drum. To mount the drum, the drum shaft is pushed into the sleeve and the lock pins are received into the shaft groove.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2001Date of Patent: September 16, 2003Assignee: Masco CorporationInventor: Randall Paul Schmitt

Publication number: 20030052218Abstract: A device to hold a spare spool of trimmer line on a string trimmer while the trimmer is in use. The device has a clamp on its frame's lower surface (22) to attach it to the string trimmer's shaft, and elements (44A, 44B) on its frame's upper surface (20) to retain the spare spool of trimmer line. These elements use the spool's notched indexing lugs (34A, 34B) and spring (42) to retain the spare spool. The spare spool is placed into the device by compressing the spool's spring (42) and engaging the spool's notched indexing lugs (34A, 34B) onto pins (28A, 28B) located on curved slotted elements (24A, 25B) located on the upper surface of the device's frame (20).Type: ApplicationFiled: July 17, 2001Publication date: March 20, 2003Inventor: Robert Knizner

Patent number: 6460795Abstract: A reel mounted at the midpoint of a telescoping mast for antennas. The reel winds a multi-celled ribbon cable in two directions at once. The cable passes through the hub of the reel to feed in both winding directions. The reel is mounted on the mast with a clamp that fits a range of existing mast sizes, and distributes the stress of the reel on the mast sufficiently to avoid distortion of the mast. The reel preferably has a cable tensioner wheel on both cable feeds to prevent the cable from slipping off the reel. A selection of cables can be pulled through the multi-celled ribbon sheath by an installer to support a given installation. The outer plate of the reel can be easily removed to remove the cable sheath from the hub for changing the selection of cables in the sheath.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2001Date of Patent: October 8, 2002Inventor: James M.
