Abstract: A method to horizontally support substantially parallel railed ladder (3) with box (4) against vertical surface (17), with ladder footed (5) on horizontal ground (6). Box substantially has front side (32) open, facing ladder. Ladder top end (2) supports against box uppermost portions (36), ladder lower upper portion (94) supports against box bottom wall front portions (13), and box back side (11b) supports substantially flat against the vertical surface. Box top wall (10) and bottom wall (12) are both substantially perpendicular to the box back side. Ladder leans at a substantial angle, substantially at 4-up-to-to-1-out angle (U to O angle). Box on ladder can: provide two platforms to place supplies laddertop; distance ladder from the vertical surface; and improve ladder utility and user safety.

Abstract: This invention is a new portable and collapsible fishing line spool holder that can be hung from a fishing rod eyelet to permit the winding of the fishing line from the spool onto the fishing rod's reel. The present invention avoids common problems of twisting and line tension during transfer from spool to reel. Moreover, the present invention is collapsible, simple to load, and easily transportable.

Abstract: An adapter for inserting into a carton containing a non-reel coil of filamentary material or wire has a shaft-receiving sleeve supported by a box structure. The adapter's structure has top, front, bottom and back walls reinforced by side gussets. The underside of the top wall, the interior of the back wall, and the top of the bottom wall of the adapter define a channel. The channel is oriented such that it may receive a shaft or rod of a wire pulling rack. The adapter may be assembled from a blank of foldable material. The adapter blank may be manufactured as a detachable element of a carton blank which is also used to construct a carton to hold a non-reel coil of filamentary material.

Abstract: A cord organizer has a base with first and second posts extending therefrom. First and second flexible nubs couple with the first post and the second post, respectively. The result is a cord organizer formed of two posts around which a cord may be wrapped in a figure-eight pattern. The flexible nubs help to hold the cord onto the posts by preventing the cord from slipping off the ends of the posts on its own. However, when the cord is to be un-stowed from the cord organizer, the cord can be pulled straight away from the cord organizer, causing the flexible nubs to elastically flex to allow the cord to pass without requiring undue pivoting or rotating of the cord organizer, and further without causing twisting of the cord about its longitudinal central axis. The flexible nubs may be removable and replaceable to enable personalized customization of the cord organizer.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for holding articles, such as keys, which is attachable to a person's clothing, handbag or a purse, and wherein a physical or electronic tether is used to allow the user to use the articles stored thereupon without removing them from the holder or from their clothing, handbag, purse, briefcase or other hand carried item. The tension on the tether is manageable by the use of a tension management system, so that the tension of the tether will not damage the article or the mechanism that the article is used with and the article is tracked by use of the tether so that the user does not lose the article. Infrared, radio frequency, and transponder and polling versions of the invention are also disclosed.

Abstract: An auto-reversible reel includes a wheel-shaped housing, a rotor rotatably mounted in the housing, a pull rope fastened to and winding round the rotor, a control member fastened to one end of the pull rope outside the housing and operable to pull the pull rope out of the housing, and a power spring adapted for reversing the rotor to take up the pull rope. The rotor has a retaining block located on the inside wall thereof and a stop plate extending over the retaining block. The power spring has a retaining hole located on the outer end thereof and fastened to the retaining block of the rotor in such a manner that the stop plate prohibits disconnection of the outer end of the power spring from the retaining block.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a floor covering storage and dispensing rack including a frame equipped with extendable members having castors. Floor lock anchors are also provided on the frame. Upper frame members of the rack support rollers in spaced relation and a crank or motor is provided to rotate the rollers to wind floor covering onto the rollers for storage. Perforated end caps are provided on the rollers to limit access to moving parts. An elongated cleaning head consisting of a pair of brushes is provided on a frame member. Floor covering passes over at least one brush when the floor covering is retrieved or dispensed to remove dirt prior to storage or reuse.

Abstract: A floatable, portable rope or extension cord holder for paying out, taking up and storing rope, line or power cord and especially suited for water ski rope. The device comprises an elongated hollow tubular base and two hollow tubular rotatable winding arms attached to the base at either end by a coupling assembly. The tubular shape of the base allows for the use of clips for releasable attachment to a structure such as a garage wall or boat deck. To load and store line, rotate winding arms to the closed position and wrap using a figure-8 cross-over pattern making a safe, neat, tangle free and compact storage. To release and remove line, rotate one arm to the open position removing from one wrap to all wraps in a single movement. Whether tossed or pulled the entire length of rope or cord stored in the figure-8 pattern will uncoil tangle free.

The cable apparatus for use in connecting electronic apparatuses comprises a chassis housing a cable with connector units connected to the electronic apparatuses; a winding mechanism winding and housing the cable within the chassis; and an operation unit applying a turning force to the winding mechanism and allowing the winding mechanism to wind the cable, wherein the operation unit is pulled up from the chassis to allow the winding mechanism to wind the cable when operated and is pulled down toward the chassis when not operated.

Abstract: A walk-behind lawn mower having a cord guide system for routing a recoil starter cord relative to a handle assembly of the mower. The guide system may include a cord guide operable to hold the starter cord to a non-interfering position such that a rear collection hopper can be easily removed from the lawn mower for dumping of collected grass clippings. The cord may be moved from the non-interfering position back to a starting position by application of a pulling force to the cord.

Abstract: A cable management system includes a horizontal support assembly (1) and a cable holder assembly (5). The cable holder assembly (5) consists of a cable holder (3) with hooks (8) and a cable holder cover (4). Excess cable, wire, line or cord is wrapped around the cable holder (3) and the cable holder cover (4) is installed. The cable holder assembly (5) is then hooked onto the horizontal support assembly (1). The cable management system manages, organizes, stores, protects and support the cables along a horizontal plane. Any cable holder assembly can be removed without disturbing the other cables. The system includes end pads (25), suction cups (26), top brackets (33), side brackets (38) and hanger brackets (41). Combined with the adjustable-length horizontal support assembly (1), these connectors allow the system to be installed on a wide variety of vertical (44) and horizontal (45) surfaces.

Abstract: An apparatus and method is provided for storing and handling holiday light strings such as icicle lights. The device in accordance with the invention includes a vertically disposed rotatable spindle. The icicle light string can be conveniently wound on the spindle by rotating the spindle in the direction of winding. The device allows for ease of storage and handling of such light strings without any substantial tangling of the strings. When it is desired to mount the lights after a period of storage, the light strings can be readily unwound from the rotatable spindle and directly mounted at desired locations.

Abstract: A retractable tether is disclosed which may be used in conjunction with personal communication devices (such as a Cell Phone, Pager or PDA) mounting system for the prevention of loss or damage. The retracting tether may be clipped to a belt, pants or purse next to the location in which the device is being held or stored. The retractable tether allows the device to be easily used while connected to the retracting tether. Should the device be dropped or dislodged from it's clip mount, holster or storage pocket, the retracting tether prevents the device from hitting the ground thereby preventing loss or damage to the device. A separation mechanism is also incorporated to allow the device to be easily removed from the retractable tether.

Abstract: A rotatable reel carried on one's person having a housing assembled from an upper lid and a bottom lid is disclosed. A male upper cover and a female lower cover are provided in the housing to form a reel axle to be placed therein a coil spring and a roll of pulling rope. One end of the rope is exposed to the exterior of the housing to connect with a clamp on the surface of the bottom lid. A slightly smaller lining sleeve is slipped in the upper lid, the bottom lid is slipped over the lining sleeve and abutted on a protruding portion provided on the lining sleeve for tight connecting with the upper lid. A rivet sleeve is extended through central holes of the bottom lid, the reel and the lining sleeve and is rivet fastened with its end to the lining sleeve. The upper lid is provided directly on the planar surface thereof with a hole for receiving a decorative piece, the hole can be formed by punching molding to have various shapes to give various decorative possibilities for the reel.
