Single Winding Pass Patents (Class 242/447.3)
  • Patent number: 11559681
Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques are disclosed for forming an elongate lead body module of a modular lead. The method may comprise rotating a mandrel, wherein the mandrel extends through a through-hole of a conductor hub, wherein each conductor of a plurality of conductors extend through a respective channel of a plurality of channels of the conductor hub, wherein each conductor of the plurality of conductors extends from a respective bobbin of plurality of bobbins to the channels, wherein the plurality of bobbins are coupled to a carriage, the carriage defining a central opening through which the mandrel passes. The method may comprise moving the carriage away from the conductor hub along a length of the mandrel while the mandrel rotates causing the conductors to coil around the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 10711919
Abstract: A wrap tape cassette for a subsea pipeline repair or coating machine includes a drum for carrying a wrap tape wound on the drum. A housing defines an exit opening for the wrap tape to be dispensed from the drum onto a pipeline during a repair or coating operation. The drum may be mounted to the housing for rotational and longitudinal movement relative to the housing to dispense the wrap tape through the exit opening on being unwound from the drum. A leading end of the wrap tape may be attached to an anchor element that is arranged as a closure for the exit opening and, when moved from the exit opening, for attachment to a pipeline being repaired or coated.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards an improved flexible hose (10). The hose (10) is comprised of at least a flexible material (28) and a reinforcing rod (12) positioned externally of the flexible material (28). Terminal ends (16, 18) define both the flexible material (28) and the reinforcing rod (12). At least one terminal end (16) of the reinforcing rod (12) is located short of the terminal ends (18) of the flexible material (28), so that the non-reinforced end of the flexible material (28) forms a soft cuff (20) adapted to be received by a hose fitting. Also disclosed is an improved method of manufacturing the flexible hose (10).

  • Patent number: 6401333
Abstract: A method and apparatus (10) are used for manufacturing a wire structure wherein a wire (13) is three-dimensionally aligned at prescribed pitches. The method comprises the steps of providing one or more frame bodies (12) which have a prescribed thickness, peripherally of a rotary shaft (11). By rotating rotary shaft (11) about a rotation axis thereof, wires (13) are wound, at prescribed pitches, around frame bodies (12). Another frame body (12) is stacked on at least one existing frame body and wire (13) is wound thereon at prescribed pitches. The above steps are repeated to yield a wire structure having a wire aligned three-dimensionally and accurately at prescribed pitches.

  • Patent number: 6256872
Abstract: The improved musical string includes a prior art core wire assembly including a core wire and a terminal end. The cover wire has an end portion that is bent around the terminal end portion of the core wire, and the cover wire is then wound the core wire to form the musical string. The improved cover wire winding machine includes a headstock with a rotatable spindle and a core wire terminal end mounting hook. A cover wire mounting sleeve is slidably and rotatably engaged to the spindle and functions to mechanically engage an end of the cover wire and to bend it into engagement with the core wire terminal end following engagement, the cover wire is wound around the core wire to produce the improved musical string.
