  • Patent number: 8967521
Abstract: A filament winding device that optimizes the interval between adjacent fiber bundle guides includes a plurality of helical heads on which fiber bundle guides moving in the direction that is roughly perpendicular to the rotating axis of a liner are radially disposed; and winds a fiber bundle onto the outer circumference surface of the liner by passing the helical heads while rotating the liner. An interval adjusting means adjusts the interval between a virtual plane (Pf) which intersects with the guiding opening of a fiber bundle guide disposed on one of the helical heads so as to be orthogonal to the liner rotating axis and a virtual plane (Pw) which intersects with the guiding opening of a fiber bundle guide disposed on the other helical head so as to be orthogonal to the liner rotating axis.

  • Publication number: 20090243420
Abstract: A rotational motor includes a stator formed by a core member including: a magnetic core portion extending in a radial direction of the rotational motor and formed into a fixed shape in every cross section thereof extending orthogonally relative to the radial direction, a coil wound around the magnetic core portion to form a plurality of layers and an engagement member engaging with the coil. A gap is generated between windings of the coil at a predetermined position when an uppermost layer winding portion of the coil is wound in series with a second layer winding portion from an outer side to an inner side of the uppermost layer winding portion in the radial direction. The coil is wound to fill the gap when a winding position of the coil is returned from an innermost side to the outer side of the uppermost layer winding portion in the radial direction.

  • Patent number: 7377029
Abstract: A wire winding device for electrical components has a transmission member, a wire feeding member, a wire winding member, a spool feeding member, and a driving member. Spools are respectively inserted into the wire winding member via the spool feeding member and rotated by the driving member. Wires are moved into the wire winding member via the wire feeding member and inserted into the spool. Hence, the wire can be encircled the spool automatically.

  • Patent number: 6701028
Abstract: A fast convolution method applicable to convolve a signal with a smooth kernel that can be approximated by a spline kernel, and a system configured to perform such method using software or signal processing circuitry. Unlike Fourier-based convolution methods which require on the order of N log N arithmetic operations for a signal of length N, the method of the invention requires only on the order of N arithmetic operations to do so. Unlike wavelet-based convolution approximations (which typically also require more arithmetic operations than are required in accordance with the invention to convolve the same signal), the method of the invention is exact for convolution kernels which are spline kernels. Moreover, convolution in accordance with the invention can be acyclic convolution (achieved without zero-padding) or cyclic convolution, and in both cases the invention imposes no restriction (such as evenness) on signal length.

  • Publication number: 20010015393
Abstract: A winding apparatus is capable of winding an element wire at a predetermined winding position on winding portions with good alignment of windings by defining the winding positions of the element wire on its winding progress side, regardless of variation of the predetermined winding positions. The element wire is guided to winding positions for the first winding layer on a winding frame, by moving a box member to a position apart from the turn immediately previously formed on the frame, by an amount equal to the diameter of the wire in the direction of winding progress along the axis of the winding frame. While this positioning is maintained, an element wire supplying reel is revolved around the winding frame, and thereby pays out the element wire. Therefore, the element wire is guided to the predetermined winding position defined by the box member and the previously formed turn, and the wire is wound at the winding position.

  • Patent number: 5938143
Abstract: An ignition coil winding method for spirally winding an element wire in conical banks of wire turns one by one around a coil bobbin provides in particular that a nozzle can vertically move toward and away from the coil bobbin according to a changing winding radius and can swing in the direction normal to the longitudinal axis of the bobbin to maintain constant tension of the element wire. This method also uses a nozzle whose opening diameter is 2 to 6 times larger than that of the element wire to eliminate oscillation of the element wire in the nozzle opening.

  • Patent number: 5564637
Abstract: A pressure roller in a winding machine is axially shifted in accordance with the progress of winding so that the winding turns are tightly engaged with each other. At the end of a winding layer, the pressure roller is positioned adjacent a flange of the winding drum at a spacing distance equal to 1.5 times the diameter of the round material, so that the next winding layer is wound in the channels between winding turns of the first layer. The pressure roller and the winding drum are axially shiftable independently of each other, thereby providing centering of the drum with respect to the in-feed material and orderly reversal of winding action after each winding layer has been completed. The method and the apparatus are particularly suitable for thick round material which is hard to flex, such as solid or stranded wire or cable.
