Having Reversible Cam Drive Patents (Class 242/483.3)
  • Patent number: 9950914
Abstract: A method for operating a winch and a winch having a winch drum for spooling a spoolable medium, wherein the winch drum is rotatable about a first axis, a guiding member for guiding the spoolable medium, wherein the guiding member is movable along a second axis between two end positions, and an electric drive having a first electric motor for driving the guiding member towards one of the two end positions during spooling in or spooling out of the spoolable medium. The electric drive is configured to change the driving direction of the guiding member when a monitored torque of the first electric motor, or a quantity indicative thereof, exceeds a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 8152090
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for catching and taking up as well as a winding machine for continuously winding up threads. In order to catch the thread on a winding spindle, two thread guides form a thread section upstream and downstream of the winding spindle. Preferably, said thread guides are simultaneously displaced in a synchronous manner during the catching process and in such a way that the thread section is guided vertically over the winding spindle. Preferably, the thread guides are simultaneously and synchronously displaced by coupling the thread guides to each other and displacing the same with the aid of a common drive unit.

  • Patent number: 6435447
Abstract: A winding tool operating in conjunction with a level wind spools coiled tubing in a helical pattern onto a reel. In one embodiment, the winding tool includes a plurality of rollers that are urged against the winds of coiled tubing with a biasing member. A driver provides controlled oscillatory translational movement for the rollers.

  • Patent number: 6341744
Abstract: A coil winding apparatus 1 includes a transvers mechanism which displaces a wire supply part 8 and a spinds 5 to which a bobbin 4 is fitted relative to each other in an axial direction. This traverse mechanism includes a first traverse mechanism 11 and a second traverse mechanism 15 which have a different displacement range and displacement pitch. The first traverse mechanism 11 and second traversemechanism 15 are displaced independently of one another, so even when a wire of fine diameter is rapidly wound on a narrow width, the coil winding alignment does not break down, and the coil turns can be wound at high speed in an orderly arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6332583
Abstract: Device to form spirals in a coiling machine for trolled stock located downstream of a rolling train provided with drawing rollers, wherein the coiling machine includes a reel able to rotate around an axis of rotation, including a guide element suitable to guide the rolled stock in a segment between the drawing rollers and the coiling machine, first translating means being suitable to cooperate with the guide element to displace at least one end of the latter in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the reel.
