Publication number: 20110062275Abstract: A bobbin holder for tensioning a bobbin tube and receiving a wound thread bobbin is presented. The bobbin holder includes a rotatable drive shaft that is connected to a drive with a bearing end thereof and that has a tensioning device for tensioning a bobbin tube on a tensioning end. The tensioning device includes a plurality of bobbin tubes on the periphery of the drive shaft and interposed tensioning rings. A tensioning piston guided on the free end of the drive shaft acts upon at least one of the bobbin tubes to deform the tensioning rings. In order to allow the use of high fatigue strength materials for the tensioning ring, the tensioning ring includes a continuous separating slot on the periphery, which extends between two opposite ring ends of the tensioning ring, deformation being essentially achieved by an expansion of the tensioning ring.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2009Publication date: March 17, 2011Applicant: OERLIKON TEXTILE GMBH & CO. Patent number: 6405967Abstract: A device for pivoting a creel of a textile machine, which holds a bobbin in contact with a roller during the winding process. The creel (2) is fastened on a shaft (5) defining a pivot axis. A lifting device (9) connected with the creel (2) has a lever (10) fixed with the shaft (5) against relative rotation. An arresting element (12) seated on the shaft (5) can be alternatingly coupled to the shaft (5) or a fixed holding element (21). When the arresting element (12) is coupled with the shaft (5), potential energy is stored in an energy storage device, which is released when the connection changes from the shaft (5) to the holding element (21), whereby the lever (10) and the shaft (5) are abruptly moved toward the arresting element (12). The device makes it possible to break the contact between the cheese (1) and the drive roller (3) quickly and dependably in case of a power failure. Interference with grasping an upper yarn end, as well as damage to the yarn and yarn positioning errors, can be avoided.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2000Date of Patent: June 18, 2002Assignee: W. Schlafhorst AG & Co.Inventors: Christian Sturm, Alexander Marx

Publication number: 20020033429Abstract: An apparatus and method for guiding and cutting a continuously advancing yarn (1) during a package doff in a takeup device. The yarn is guided by means of a yarn guide (18) which is movable substantially parallel to a package or to a new tube (13), which is driven by a drive roll (29). Downstream of the yarn guide (18), a deflection device (2) and a suction device (37) are arranged, with the suction device comprising a pneumatic vacuum connection (46) and a cutter (47). The suction device (37) cooperates with a transfer device (42) for purposes of cutting the yarn during a package doff and receiving the loose end of the advancing yarn. To enable a gentle processing of the yarn during the package doff, the yarn guide (18) is arranged in the path of the advancing yarn upstream of the driven tube (13), and a deflection device (2) as well as the suction device (37) are arranged downstream of the driven tube.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2001Publication date: March 21, 2002Inventors: Klemens Jaschke, Wolfgang Peter Fink

Patent number: 6254028Abstract: A damping device is provided for damping the oscillations of a winding bobbin in spinning, twisting or winding machines. A bobbin holder, which can be swivelled around a swivel axle affixed to the machine, supports the rotatably supported winding bobbin, which is pressed against a drive roller. Damping elements act in swivel directions of the bobbin holder, the effect of the damping elements being greater in the swivel direction of the winding bobbin when it is raised from the drive roller than in the swivel direction when the winding bobbin is pressed against the drive roller. A friction jaw is provided for damping, which, with its pressing surface is pressed by resilient forces against a friction surface in the form of a cylinder surface. The axis of the cylinder surface is the swivel axle of the bobbin holder. The resilient force which loads the pressing surface exerts a moment on the bobbin holder, which tends to lift the winding bobbin from the drive roller.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 1999Date of Patent: July 3, 2001Inventor: Mathias Burchert
