Including Speed Control Patents (Class 242/486.3)
  • Patent number: 11132789
Abstract: A target including a reference object of a known size is prepared. The reference object from target image data, which is generated by photographing the target using a survey instrument, is detected through image processing to calculate first size data on dimensions of the reference object. A defect from external appearance image data, which is generated by photographing an external appearance of a structure using the survey instrument, is detected through image processing to calculate defect data on dimensions of the defect. The first size data is compared with second size data on actual dimensions of the reference object to calculate correction data, which is used to correct the defect data.

  • Patent number: 6926223
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for winding pre-oriented, non-crystalline polyester filaments onto a spool at a winding speed of at least 4,200 m/min, in which the wound filament is wound over the width of the spool by means of a flying traverse arm and is turned by a driven sensing roller with an applied pressure between 8 and 18 kg on the circumference of a spool placed on a driven spool-locating pin. The filaments for winding are introduced to the traverse thread guide at a thread tension of between 0.03 cN/dtex and 0.20 cN/dtex. The sensing roller is driven at an overspeed of preferably between 0.3 and 1.2%, in comparison with the spool circumferential speed. The thread laying angle is set between 3.5° and 7.5° by means of the spool travel. The above method permits a good spool formation even at high spooling speeds.

  • Patent number: 6443379
Abstract: A method for producing a cheese, wherein the cheese rotates around its longitudinal axis and the yarn is subjected to a cross-winding movement while being fed to the cheese and wound thereon, and having a crossing angle, a winding angle and a placement distance associated therewith. The method including the steps of controlling the crossing angle and the winding ratio as a function of the cheese diameter during the winding process while controlling the placement distance so that it increases in conjunction with an increasing cheese diameter thereby preventing deformations and improving the production of cheeses. A cheese produced in accordance with the method of the present invention offers advantages for stacking and during transport.

  • Patent number: 6405968
Abstract: In a bobbin winding machine with multiple winding heads, each having a creel associated with a torque transmitter (15) adjusted by a drive element (16) for controlling the bearing load between a bobbin (10) held in the creel and a drive drum (14), buttons (18, 19) are provided for actuation by an operator for adjusting the drive element (16) and therewith the creel (12) for adaptation to a diameter of a residual bobbin to be inserted into the creel (12).

  • Patent number: 6196491
Abstract: In a method for winding a yarn onto a spool body, the conical spool body is driven about a longitudinal axis by a first drive unit. A yarn is guided onto the spool body by a reciprocating yarn guide thereby winding the yarn onto the spool body. A constant yarn winding speed is provided along the length of the spool body during the entire yarn winding process by adjusting the revolutions per minute of the spool body synchronously with a movement of the reciprocating yarn guide. The revolutions per minute are controlled by a computing and control unit based on the instant position of the reciprocating yarn guide and the diameter of the spool body at the instant position. The device for performing this method has a sensor for detecting the changing diameter of the spool body, and the reciprocating yarn guide has a detection device for detecting the instant position of the reciprocating yarn guide.
