  • Patent number: 11857408
Abstract: A variety of configurations of implant management devices are provided. The configurations provide different combinations of features for maintaining a location of an implant with respect to the device and managing filaments of the implant. One exemplary embodiment of a device includes a generally rectangular-shaped body having an implantable body retainer, an opening disposed a distance apart from the retainer and configured to receive a ligament graft therein, and a fold extending across the body and intersecting the opening. Folding one end of the body towards a bottom surface of the body along the fold can form a filament loop engaging region to hold in tension a filament loop extending from the implant. Additional filament(s) associated with the implant can be managed by various filament retention features. Methods for preparing a ligament graft for implantation by relying upon indicia formed on a surface of the device body are also provided.

  • Patent number: 7891599
Abstract: To secure the end part of a metallic filament taken up onto a reel, the take-up reel for metallic filament has a recessed portion (3) provided in the inside surface of a flange (2), the recessed portion (3) extending in the radial direction to the flange outer edge (2a); and a connecting portion (4) that straddles the recessed portion (3). A tabular end retaining member (5) having elasticity is fitted into the recessed portion 3. The base end portion (5b) of the end retaining member (5) is passed under the connecting portion (4) and butted up against the end surface (3a) of the recessed portion (3) on the winding drum side, and a space (A) is provided between the tip end portion (5a) of the end retaining member (5) and the flange outer edge (2a) to allow the end part of the metallic filament (W) to be caught therein. The end retaining member (5) is anchored to the connecting portion (4) through spot welding, using a welding portion (6) set in the vicinity of the base end portion.

Abstract: [Problem to be solved] An object of this invention is to provide a fishing line spool which is capable of securely holding a fishing line wound around the fishing line spool and reduced in cost. [Solution] The fishing line spool is provided with a hollow core, a pair of flanges, and doors which are formed integrally. The doors are provided on outer peripheries of the flanges. The doors change postures between a closed posture in which tips of the doors are brought into contact to each other and an open posture in which the tips depart from each other. Each of the doors is formed from an elastic disc. Each of the doors is so curved that the tips of the doors press against each other in the closed posture. A pinching plate for pinching a fishing line is provided on the tip of each of the doors. The hollow core, the flanges, and the doors are made from a biodegradable resin.

  • Patent number: 6758433
Abstract: A reel including a hub around which a recording tape is to be wound and a spring, which is attached to the hub, is disclosed. Winding of the recording tape causes the spring to wound around the hub. In a cartridge for containing the reel, an exterior of uneven portions, such as a recess for receiving a leader pin or a corner of the spring, is covered by the spring. The recording tape is wound on a peripheral surface of the spring without directly contacting the uneven portions.
