  • Publication number: 20110302793
Abstract: A trimmer head assembly for a trimming machine. The trimmer head assembly includes a spool. The spool has a central tubular hub. The spool also has a central flange that radially extends from the hub. A trim line conduit is joined to the central flange. The trim line conduit has a first open end. The first open end leads to a first straight section. The first straight section leads to a curved central section. The curved central section leads to a second straight section. The second straight section leads to a second open end. The curved central section passes around the center of the spool. A housing is provided that receives the spool therein. When loading trimmer line into the trimmer head assembly, the shape of the conduit enables the trimmer line to pass around the central opening in the spool without binding.

  • Publication number: 20100000686
Abstract: The present invention discloses a roll holder for tape dispenser and a tape dispenser assembly therewith. The roll holder comprises a cylindrical body and an annular portion made from a material having a high friction coefficient, the annular portion being fixed inside the cylindrical body. The roll holder tape dispenser is supported by a shaft. Two cylindrical bodies are connected to a roll of tape, one at each extremity of the tape spool by press-fitting. The shaft passes through the annular portion and the friction occurring between the shaft and annular portion induce a tension in the tape when the tape is unwound from the roll.

  • Publication number: 20090218430
Abstract: A reel which can substantially equalize the rigidity at both ends in an axis line direction of a reel hub is obtained with using a small and light-weight reinforcing ring, and a recording tape cartridge which can well protect the recording tape is obtained by applying this reel. The reel includes a resin reel hub which is formed into a cylindrical shape with a bottom portion; a resin upper flange which is integrally extended from an opening end portion of the reel hub toward a radial outside; a resin lower flange member which has a lower flange, the lower flange facing the upper flange, in being welded to a bottom plate of the reel hub in a center portion; and a reinforcing ring which reinforces a part of the reel hub in the axis line direction, the part including the opening end in a cylindrical wall of the reel hub.

  • Publication number: 20090218431
Abstract: The reel includes a reel hub that is made of a resin material and is formed into a cylindrical shape, an upper flange that is made of a resin material and is extended integrally outward in a radial direction from one end portion in an axial direction of the reel hub, and a reinforcement ring that is integrally disposed radially inside a tape take-up surface of the reel hub by insert molding and reinforces the reel hub in the radial direction. A position of an upper end of the reinforcement ring coincides with a position of an upper end of the tape take-up surface in the axial direction of the reel hub.

  • Patent number: 6783833
Abstract: A protector for sheet metal coil is formed of plastic with a flange and sleeve which are joined together at a ridge portion. The protectors incorporate symmetrically disposed groupings of stacking features or components which include a finger within a stacking access opening, a stacking tab, and a stacking opening. The fingers are employed to resiliently engage the inner surface of a core of a coil and incorporate a receiver surface for freely abuttable engagement with a stacking tab of a second protector when arranged in mutual stacking relationship. The stacking openings function for stacking purposes to receive the protruding finger of a next stack protector.

  • Publication number: 20030038208
Abstract: A pre-wound bobbin for sewing, having a single flange or a pair of flanges, in which one flange of the bobbin comprises a magnetized material such that the flange magnetically adheres to the end wall of a steel bobbin case in which the bobbin is carried in a sewing machine. The flange is sized to provide a contact area with the end wall that, in relation to the magnetic strength of the magnetized material, achieves a magnetic attraction force exceeding the weight of the bobbin so that the bobbin is held in the bobbin case. The flange preferably is flexible.

  • Publication number: 20030029962
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for unwinding or applying adhesive tape, especially double-sided adhesive tape, to be unwound from a roil of adhesive tape(5). Said device is comprised of a discoid unwinding body (1) and of a roll accommodating device (2) which can be placed thereon, whereby the unwinding body and the accommodating device share a common central axis, around which the roll of adhesive tape (5) rotates during unwinding. The discoid unwinding body (1) has a supporting surface (3) on which one side of the roll of adhesive tape roll fully rests, and from which the accommodating device (2) protrudes. The outer diameter of the roll accommodating device is smaller than the inside diameter of the roll of adhesive tape (5) to be accommodated thereon to such an extent that the roll can be easily inserted onto the roll accommodating device (2).

  • Patent number: 5992128
Abstract: A system for girding an article, in particular the twisted end of a bag, with a closure including a strip of adhesive tape. The system comprises a girding device and a roll of adhesive tape having a core. The girding device comprises a housing including a slot which is adapted for receiving the article moving therethrough. The housing also is provided with a support post for rotatably supporting a roll of adhesive tape. A star wheel is mounted for rotation at one side of the slot and has radially extending spokes which extend over the slot and are separated by recesses suitable for accommodating a twisted end of the article as it is moved through the slot past the star wheel. The housing further includes an element which lies at an opposite side of the slot from that of the star wheel and thereat forms a wall part lying along the path of ends of the spokes of the star wheel. A severing mechanism is provided for severing a strip of adhesive tape after the article has passed the star wheel.
