With Particular Bearing Formation Patents (Class 242/612)
  • Patent number: 11697144
Abstract: Flatness of a hot-rolled steel sheet in a coil is improved when the hot-rolled steel sheet is wound with a mandrel in a hot-rolling process to manufacture a coil. The mandrel has a protruding shape with a center portion in an axial direction protruding from both end portions when seen from a lateral side in the axial direction. Regarding a peripheral length difference, which is a difference between a peripheral length of the center portion of the mandrel and a peripheral length at a predetermined distance from the center portion, the ratio of the peripheral length difference to the peripheral length of the center portion is preferably 0.0002 to 0.012. The protruding shape may be a trapezoidal shape or a polynomial function shape.

  • Patent number: 7210649
Abstract: A membrane packing dispenser includes a rotary shaft sleeve and a holding sleeve. The cylindrical portion of the rotary shaft sleeve is step-shaped and formed with a lower portion to be fitted with a membrane reel and an upper portion for receiving the cylindrical portion of the holding sleeve. The lower portion of the rotary shaft sleeve has its outer wall bored with plural slots respectively disposed therein with a tightening plate having its upper opposite sides respectively fixed with an engage projection. Thus, the lower portion of the rotary shaft sleeve can be firmly engaged with the end of a membrane reel by the engage projections of the tightening plates. The engage projections can be elastically adjusted to shift; therefore, the rotary shaft sleeves are applicable to various membrane reels with a little difference in size.

  • Patent number: 6942176
Abstract: A printer ribbon spool comprising an integral element, molded in one piece from a durable plastic composition, such as of nylon, has an elongate cylindrical ribbon support shaft of substantially uniform, relatively small diameter. One end of the support shaft functions as a first rotation bearing member for the spool, and the other end of the shaft is integral with a narrow, relatively large diameter gear having on the opposed surface thereof a second cylindrical rotation bearing member having a larger diameter than the diameter of the ribbon support shaft and of the first rotation bearing portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 6783093
Abstract: Described is a reel that comprises a single side element that, when attached to a second identical side element, forms a complete reel structure. The side element comprises a ring. The preferably form of the ring comprises an inner ring attached to an outer ring by at least two, preferably eight spanning supports. There is an inner perimeter of the ring that has at least two, preferably four attachment apertures located nearby. There is a handle attached to the ring by two legs to an inner perimeter of the ring. The handle has a top side and a bottom side. Located in the center of the handle is an aperture that, when a rigid objected is inserted into the aperture, allows easy and convenient rotation of the reel thereby facilitating easy wrapping and unwrapping of the linear object.

  • Patent number: 6612515
Abstract: A ribbon cable storage spool, tray and method of use. The spool comprising a center post and a plurality of radially extending top and bottom fins. The spool may also comprise a guide wall, a ribbon retention tab, a channel wall defining a channel and a ledge, and an oblong shape. The tray comprising a bottom plate and a sidewall which act together to define a spool chamber for receiving the spool. The bottom plate may also define holes such that the bottom fins of the spool are coplanar with the bottom plate when the spool is placed in the tray. The bottom plate may also include a column to be received by the channel of the spool. The channel and column may include a tongue and groove arrangement for preventing rotation of the spool relative to the tray. The column may also include a flexible clip for retaining the spool in the tray.

  • Patent number: 6375116
Abstract: A core end plug for mounting a roll of sheet material on a shaft. The plug comprises a cylindrical band of stiffly flexible plastic material having ends defining a longitudinal gap therein. A plurality of radial webs extend inwardly from the band. A pair of the webs are opposite each other and are provided with first and second elongated apertures which define identical acute angles to the diameter of the band. A third web defines third and fourth elongated apertures along a common major axis perpendicular to the diameter. A band is fitted into each end of a roll core and a mounting plate is inserted into each core end plug. A mounting shaft extends through central apertures in the mounting plates and through the fourth aperture in the third web. Pins in the mounting plate are received in the first and second elongated apertures.

  • Patent number: 6196493
Abstract: An apparatus for conveying photosensitive material includes a core for holding a roll of photosensitive material in a paper magazine, drive rollers disposed in a conveyance path of the photosensitive material, two sets of nip rollers disposed to oppose the drive rollers at upstream and downstream locations relative to the forward direction of photosensitive material conveyance, rewind nip rollers disposed to oppose the upstream set of nip rollers, and a controller for controlling the drive rollers. When the photosensitive material is wound back into the paper magazine after use, the control means causes the drive rollers to rotate in reverse until the leading end portion of the photosensitive material is located between the upstream nip rollers and the rewind nip rollers. This enables the leading end portion of the photosensitive material to be held straight (without bowing), thereby protecting it from curling.

  • Patent number: 6065708
Abstract: A cord winder for winding a cord comprises a first structure having a bottomed cylindrical shape and a second structure rotatably held in the first structure. The second structure includes a circular base portion, a center cylindrical stud raised on a center of the circular base portion and radially extending ribs formed on an outer surface of the center cylindrical stud. The ribs are arranged to constitute a bobbin structure. The first and second structures are provided with a cord inserting groove through which the cord can be led to the bobbin structure when the first and second structures take mutually coincident positions. The cord is wound on the bobbin structure when relative rotation takes place between the first and second structures. A braking structure is employed for braking the relative rotation when an external force is applied to the first and second structures to induce the relative rotation.
