Tilting Patents (Class 248/133)
  • Patent number: 4300696
Abstract: A litter bin comprising a heavy base member adapted to rest on the ground, a litter container mounted on said base member through an annular rubber bush and a central bolt connecting the container to the base member and passing through the bush, an upwardly extending support pole secured to the base member, an arm pivotally attached to the top of the pole and having a lid attached to the end thereof at a position which normally is in overlying relationship with the litter container, an actuating mechanism associated with the container whereby the container may be tilted in substantially any direction through said rubber bush connection from its position under said lid to a position in which it is exposed for the receipt of litter or refuse.

  • Patent number: 4217013
Abstract: A support for a bulk liquid container includes a universal U-bracket mountable on a wall, floor or ceiling within a safety storage cabinet. Drawer type telescoping slides support a container basket structure pivotally suspended on the extensible and retractable sections of the slides which are horizontally arranged regardless of the disposition of the U-bracket. A bulk liquid container held by the basket structure can be rotated 360 degrees on the trunnions of the basket structure. A chain attachment is provided to support the container in a tilted liquid dispensing position. Due to its compactness and retractability, the support is useable in close quarters.

  • Patent number: 4113218
Abstract: An adjustable frame assembly for attachment to the sides of a hospital operating table is disclosed for supporting a removable surgical tray above the operating table and over the patient in a variety of positions for the convenience of personnel. The frame assembly consists of two upright supporting columns, one attached to each side of the operating table at an appropriate position. A horizontal bar is mounted between the upper ends of the upright supporting columns and extends across the operating table from one side to the other. A rectangular open frame member is supported by mechanical linkages to a pair of vertically-extending posts adjustably mounted, respectively, upon two slidable blocks carried by the horizontal bar. A removable surgical tray may be placed upon the open rectangular frame and clamped into position.

  • Patent number: 3942851
Abstract: A storage bin is pivotly mounted relative to a housing so as to remain in a neutral position when empty and to be positioned at an angle with respect to a horizontal plane when either in a working position or in a storage position. When in the working position free access to the interior of the bin is possible since the forward end of the bin is tipped downwardly and the material in the bin is at the forward end. When in the storage position the front end of the bin is tipped upwardly with the material being at the rear of the bin. Indicating markers on the cabinet and the front end of each bin may be used when the bins are in the storage position for providing an approximation of the quantity of material in each bin.
