  • Patent number: 4738192
Abstract: The grill frame includes a pair of elongated shaft members which are resiliently connected at their first ends so that upon the insertion of the first end into the abdominal cavity of the fowl, the shaft members may be urged against the opposite sides of the abdominal cavity with sufficient force to enlarge the abdominal cavity laterally and to disperse the meat of the fowl to substantially the equal plane. The method of insertion is such that the shaft members are held in substantially close proximity as the first end is inserted through the cavity and the shaft members are allowed to expand outwardly as the first end of the apparatus extrudes out of the rear of the cavity with the apparatus in position within the fowl.

  • Patent number: 4706915
Abstract: A display stand for supporting either a rigid or non-rigid doll or other inanimate human-shaped figure. A flat base and vertical post balance the figure in an upright position. The vertical post telescopes to adjust for the height of the figure. A bracket and a belt extend from the post and provide further support for the figure. The bracket fits under and against the figure's pelvis, providing upward support, and may be moved along the vertical post to adjust for the length of the figure's legs. The belt fits around the figure's torso. Both the bracket and the belt are sufficiently flexible so as to adjust for the figure's circumference and to not mar its surface or weaken its structure. A variation of the display stand permits the figure to be held in a range of positions varying from vertical to horizontal.

  • Patent number: 4570275
Abstract: The invention pertains to bedding support apparatus for supporting bed clothes above the mattress to alleviate the weight of bed clothes upon a patient. Rigid frame elements inserted under the mattress include a wire core encased in a cylindrical synthetic plastic cover. The bedding support consists of two frame elements each having coaxially aligned end portions bridged by a tubular connector into which the end sections are telescoped. Depressions are formed in the connectors extending into the connector bore whereby frictional engagement is made with the element cover permitting the width of the bedding support to be readily adjusted, and the depressions insuring frictional contact between the frame elements and tube connectors regardless of variable dimensional tolerances.

  • Patent number: 4426674
Abstract: In a displaceable, electric distribution device for building sites or similar consisting of a main section holding current distribution equipment, other equipment and/or instruments, the main section (2) is mounted in a rack, which when the device (1) is uninfluenced by outer forces assumes specific positions for use. By means of relatively small outer forces, the device can nevertheless be moved from one position for use to another by rolling the rack (3). The rack (3) can comprise two substantially equal sets of rockers (10a, 10b) arranged parallel to each other on either side of the main section (2). The rockers (10a, 10b) can have a generally oval shape or the shape of an ellipsis. Aside from assuming specific positions for use and allowing rolling of the device, the rack can in overturned position allow for the possibility of stacking several devices on top of each other.

  • Patent number: 4019280
Abstract: A collapsible plant support is provided having a plurality of elongated wire-rod legs which are rigidly secured together at one end. Several helically-wound wire springs of normally elongated configuration are also provided with each spring having the opposite ends adapted to be interconnected and thus form circular rings. These rings are positioned at vertically spaced elevations on the legs which are relatively divergent from their connected ends when the plant support is positioned upright on the ground. Each of the elongated legs is formed with longitudinally spaced notches into which the circularly configured wire springs are positioned and supported on the divergent legs having their free end portions inserted into the ground. Collapsing of the plant support for storage is readily accomplished by first pulling the legs from the ground thereby releasing the rings. The rings are then disconnected at their ends whereupon they again assume the relaxed, elongated configuration.
