Abstract: A clamp device for mounting a rail device onto a railroad rail includes a clamp body having an upper section and a lower section. The clamp body defines a recess portion between the upper and lower sections and a bore extending through the lower section of the clamp body. A bolt having a first end and a second end extends through the bore of the clamp body. The clamp device also includes a quick release mechanism having a lever arm and a cam member pivotally connected to the second end of the bolt. The lever arm is connected to the cam member and has a clamped position and a released position whereby pivoting the lever arm from the released position to the clamped position draws the first end of the bolt and the clamp body together.

Abstract: A tubular side bar and mounting system may have a plurality of separate components that allow the tubular side bar to be mounted to a truck or other vehicle by one person. The system may include one or more mounting brackets that can be mounted to the truck before mounting a tubular side bar. After the mounting brackets are secured to the truck, the tubular side bar is then mounted to the mounting brackets. In this manner, a single person may install the tubular side bar to the truck. To attach the mounting bracket to the tubular side bar, the mounting bracket may be clamped along any point of an elongate channel formed in the tubular side bar to account for trucks with different mounting places. One configuration of the running board can be mounted to different trucks having different mounting places configuration.

  • Patent number: 8146873
Abstract: A cabinet installation system is characterized by the use of adjustable brackets and rails used to align a wall or base cabinet for mounting the cabinets on a wall. The brackets include horizontal and vertical legs which are connected via a hinge at one end and by an adjustable device at the other end so that the brackets have a triangular configuration. The adjustable device varies the angle between the legs so that when the vertical leg of a bracket is mounted on a wall, the horizontal leg can be adjusted to a level position. Front and rear rails are adjustably connected with the brackets. With the brackets arranged in spaced relation on a wall and the horizontal legs adjusted to level, the rails are adjusted relative to each bracket, respectively, so that the rails are linear, parallel and spaced according to the depth of the cabinet. When a cabinet is aligned relative to the rails, it can be secured to the wall in a straight and level position.
