Threaded Shank Patents (Class 248/217.4)
  • Patent number: 11692579
Abstract: A metal anchoring fastener fastens millwork onto walls constructed with wall cladding fastened to steel studs. The load typical of a loaded cabinet is borne by the steel stud anchors owing to the mate between the profile of the steel stud anchor and the layers of millwork and wall cladding and steel stud that said anchor penetrates. The pitch of the thread adorning the profile of the steel stud anchor progresses non-linearly along the length of said shaft, the shaft is generally non-linear in profile, and the thread profile is non-uniform along the length of said shaft. The anchor can also support a secondary screw concentrically penetrating the void at the center of the anchor, in order to hang loads from a wall, with or without millwork. Predrilling of the holes can enable installation of these zinc anchors.

Abstract: The system, devices and method are for a cantilevered furniture (e.g., floating bed) installation including vertical frame reinforcements and frame brackets for securement to, or adjacent, a wall frame having top and bottom plates and vertically extending wall studs, and providing cantilevered support of a horizontally disposed frame. Horizontal frame supports or arms are coupled to support T-brackets which are installed where desired on the vertical frame reinforcements. The vertical frame reinforcements are secured where desired to the wall frame via top and bottom L-shaped frame brackets. The horizontal frame supports are longitudinally elongate and include support trusses extending and coupled therebetween to support an assembly (e.g., a bed assembly including at least a mattress with a platform or a box spring). For example, there may be six trusses for a parallel arrangement and eight trusses for a perpendicular arrangement.

  • Patent number: 11060661
Abstract: A mounting device includes a first male threaded fastening member such as a lag screw and a second male threaded fastening member such as a bolt. The male threaded fastening members are secured to one another through a joining member such as a bolt and female threaded fastening members such as wingnuts or star knobs. Tightening the female threaded fastening members fixes an angle between the male threaded fastening members without the use of tools. The first male threaded fastening member typically mounts to a tree, a post, or the ground and the second male threaded fastening member typically mounts to a camera or other electronic device. Adapters can secure the mounting device to steel fence posts or step-in posts. An internal spacing device with a flange prevents wear and tear of components of the mounting device.

Abstract: A bolt assembly (100) enables a user to change a circular blade (160) on a power tool (200) without the use of tools. The bolt assembly includes a bolt body (110) that has a bolt head (132) and a shank (136) that extends axially from the bolt head. The bolt head has a shoulder and the shank has external threads that mate with a threaded bore (220) of a drive shaft (212) of the power tool. A grip body (130) is formed circumferentially around the bolt head to facilitate rotation of the bolt body by the user's hand. An upper washer (114), a needle roller thrust bearing (116), and a lower washer (118) are positioned on the bolt head and retained with a retaining clip (120). Abstract: A stability enhancing attachment (SEA) is attached to a tubular member of conventional tree stand frames. Two attachment strategies are disclosed. The SEAs are particularly useful when two tree stand frames are utilized cooperatively to support a hunter or the like in an elevated position in a tree. A first, platform-bearing lower tree stand frame supports the weight of the hunter thereupon. A second tree stand frame is also attached to the tree above the first, typically at waist height. As an occupant shifts his weight or changes position, the lower, weight-bearing tree stand frame tends to remain level and in position. However, the upper tree stand frame may shift position as the hunter moves. The SEAs of the present invention may be readily added to a standard prior art tree stand frame and used to provide stability, particularly to the upper, of a pair of tree stand frames.

The portable hanger comprises a rigid mounting member for attachment proximate one end to a wood structure and a swing arm pivotally connected proximate one end of the swing arm to the mounting member proximate another end of the mounting member. The swing arm extends from the one end of the swing arm to another end of the swing arm and comprises at least two rigid members pivotally connected to one another. The mounting member and the at least two rigid members of the swing arm are pivotally connected such that the portable hanger is selectively arrangeable in a compact configuration, wherein the mounting member and the at least two rigid members of the swing arm are juxtaposed, and alternatively arrangeable in an expanded configuration wherein the mounting member and the at least two rigid members of the swing arm extend end-to-end.

  • Patent number: 6298608
Abstract: The present invention can be attached to any type of roof which comprises an outer layer attached to a substrate layer. The present invention comprises a block having a base and a top, a snow guard attached to the block, and two rods, each having a first and a second terminal end and a predetermined length therebetween. The first terminal end of each rod is attached to the base of the block. To secure the block to the roof, two holes are placed through the outer and substrate layers of the roof. The base of the block is placed in juxtaposition with the outer layer of the roof, with the second terminal ends of the two rods located through the holes in the roof. The length of the two rods is sufficient to allow the second terminal ends thereof to extend below the substrate layer of the roof.

  • Patent number: 6295976
Abstract: A hunting bow hanger in the form of a cylindrical shaft of substantially the same length and diameter as a hunting arrow, having self-starting wood screw threads on one end, and a hook that includes a crank portion on the other end. The crank is used to turn the shaft manually to screw the threads into a tree trunk. To prevent bending of the shaft under load, a cable tether is provided that spans from the hook end of the shaft diagonally upward to an anchor higher on the tree trunk. The anchor has self-starting wood screw threads and a crank portion for tool-less threading into the tree trunk. The cable is attached to the hanger shaft near the hook end, and has a free end with a loop that slips over a retention portion of the anchor crank. This provides a sturdy bow hanger that is carried in the quiver in place of one of the arrows.
