The compensating member is, on the one hand, stretchable when the device is tightened around the pipe and, on the other hand, gradually shrinkable over time to keep the strap taut when the pipe shrinks. The device may be incorporated in an assembly including an element provided to be secured to the pipe with the device. The assembly may be incorporated in an installation including a pipe. In addition, a method for implementing such a device.

The system also comprises a cup attached to the spacer, movement of the cup causing one of expansion and contraction of the spacer. The system also comprises a telescopic pole that attaches to the cup, and raises and lowers the coupled clamp, spacer, and cup when the clamp is in loosened state. The telescopic pole also turns the cup in a first direction to expand the spacer and push the bracket away from the vertical pole, thus tightening the clamp about the vertical pole. The telescopic pole also turns the cup in a second direction to contract the spacer, thus loosening the clamp about the pole.

The collar is formed by a shape sustaining member, such as a CMP, placed around the pedestal to define an annular ring between the CMP and the pedestal that is filled with cementitious material. Radial bolts extend horizontally through the collar and into the side of the pedestal. Soil and/or rock anchor bolts extend vertically through the collar, the spread portion of the foundation and into the underlying soil and/or rock substrate. The radial and anchor bolts are post-tensioned to ensure that the cementitious material of the collar remains in compression and the bolts are always in static tension, strengthening the original gravity spread foundation and extending the fatigue life thereof.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a satellite antenna assembly and a mounting assembly to allow the satellite antenna assembly to be mounted to a support means which may be located on the vertical support surface of a wall of a building. The mounting assembly allows initial engagement of first and second portions of the mounting assembly so as to allow the weight of the satellite antenna assembly to be carried by the mounting assembly and thereby allow the operator greater freedom in performing further actions to achieve a second engagement condition of the first and second portions together and thereby secure the satellite antenna assembly in the fixed location.
