  • Patent number: 6283424
Abstract: An adapter plate replicates an interface to a down rigger mount such that the plate is received in the mount in the same manner as a down rigger. The down rigger mount includes a releasable means for securely receiving a down rigger and releasing the down rigger from its mount when the down rigger is not in use. The adapter plate is similarly secured and released. The adapter plate is further configured to receive a fishing pole holder mount. To enable a pole holder to be mounted to an incompatible down rigger mount, the pole holder, otherwise mountable to a boat gunnel, is mounted instead to matching bolt holes on the adapter plate. Because there is a variety of down rigger mounts, each different from the others, and it is not necessarily known which down rigger mount will be encountered on any given outing, a plurality of adapter plates is provided to achieve the desired interface to one of several down rigger mounts, each plate still receiving the pole holder mount.

  • Patent number: 6280116
Abstract: A fixing device comprises a first locking member, a second locking member and a pair of locking nuts. The first locking member includes a base portion, four engaging posts and a pair of positioning posts. A pair of platforms is formed on lateral ends of the base portion. Each platform forms a locking hole for receiving corresponding locking nut. Rotation of the locking nut is limited by the platform to ensure proper positioning of a cap of the locking nut. The engaging posts equidistantly extend from the base portion, and each engaging post forms a circular neck. Each positioning post downwardly extends from the corresponding platform, and has a hollow body communicating with the receiving hole. A slot is formed in each positioning post. The positioning post has an upper portion defining a hole having a diameter larger than that defined by a lower portion of the positioning post. A subulate portion is formed at a bottom end of each positioning post for engaging with the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 6273378
Abstract: A vehicle auxiliary-lamp mounting assembly (10) consisting of a lamp-housing bracket (12) which has attached a resilient latch insert (50), and a lamp-housing mounting bracket (100) which incorporates a latch receptor (116). The lamp housing bracket (12) is adjustably attached to the sides of a vehicle auxiliary lamp (200), and the lamp-housing mounting bracket (100) is attached to a vehicle structure. When the resilient latch insert (50) is inserted into the latch receptor (116) the vehicle auxiliary lamp (200) is secured. Normally, a conventional vehicle lamp mounting assembly cannot be easily attached adjacent to a corner structure because there is insufficient space to insert and tighten a bolt or nut into the lamp mounting assembly. By utilizing the vehicle auxiliary-lamp mounting assembly (10) the problem of attaching and detaching a lamp assembly adjacent to a corner structure is solved.
