The first clamp half and the second clamp half come together along a parting line and are retained together by a hinge pin. The clamp halves are provided with snap-in liners for easy use. Alternative mounts for mounting the clamp on subsea wire line or tubulars is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7753425
Abstract: Load carrier mountable above a bed structure of a vehicle having an upper surface and an internal bed rail system is disclosed. The load carrier broadly includes an upright base support member, an internal rail clamping assembly, and a clamp adjustment assembly. The upright base support member rests upon the upper surface of the side wall of the bed structure and connects with the internal rail clamping assembly. The upright base support member has a first clamp surface for asserting a clamping force upon the upper surface of the side wall of the bed structure. The rail clamping assembly is releasably securable to the internal bed rail system and includes a second clamp surface for asserting a clamping force upon the internal bed rail system. The clamp adjustment assembly positionally adjusts the first clamping surface with respect to the second clamping surface between clamped and unclamped positions.

  • Patent number: 7726618
Abstract: The invention includes a mount with a knob including a shaft extending therefrom. A two piece socket housing defines a socket therebetween. The two piece socket has a portion formed as a first clamp element. A ball member is disposed in the socket and includes a slot and an attachment structure. A second clamp element has a connector, preferably an internally threaded nut captured therein. The shaft passes through a first portion of the two piece socket, the slot of the ball member, a second portion the two piece socket and terminates in the second clamp element, such that when the knob is manipulated, the two piece socket fixes the ball member in position and a clamping force is generated between the first clamp element and the second clamp element.

  • Patent number: 7651064
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a roof clamp and, more specifically, to a plastic clamp that removable secures itself between shingles to attach a holiday decoration to the roof. The present roof clamp comprises a textured, rectangular backplate that is pushed under adjacent shingles. Two prongs extend from a center portion of the backplate such that they travel between the two adjacent shingles. A rectangular front plate is hingedly attached to the back plate along their lower lengths. The two prongs travel through two corresponding apertures on the front plate to lockingly engage the roof clamp in place by means of a catch release. A narrow plastic hook extends from the lower side of the backplate. A gripping prong is hingedly attached to the hook at its terminal end. The gripping prong is capable of rotating such that it can be manipulated to reconcile with and grasp the rigid angle of the decorative element it is holding.
