  • Patent number: 12023002
Abstract: Various apparatuses to attach a first medical device to a second medical device are described that allow the physician to grasp only a single device while the other device remains securely attached to the one being grasped. The apparatuses, once they are attached to the first medical device, are designed to be easily and quickly attached and detached to a second medical device, normally only requiring the use of one hand. Furthermore, the apparatuses oftentimes include a base that can easily couple and decouple from the portion that is attached to the second medical device so that if the need arises to separately use the second medical device, it can be decoupled from the first medical device without completely removing the apparatus from the second medical device.

The grommet has an insertion end with four wipers, a body, and a retaining loop opposite the insertion end. The wipers are generally triangular in cross-section with a distal tip of the triangle sweeping toward the body so that when the grommet couples with an orifice in the component by pressing the insertion end into the orifice, the wipers deform, but resist insertion. Due to the angle of the wipers, the wipers resist decoupling of the grommet from the component. Abstract: The improved sign/banner support is comprised of two parallel banner rods, each parallel to the vertical axis of a round or polygonal pole and each terminating in a cincture dimensioned to compressibly clinch the pole. The banner rods and cincture are comprised of a single length of a springable wire material. The rods are spaced to form an opening whereby the improved banner support may be presented to the pole. When mounted on the pole, the banner rods abut against the pole while the cincture forms an acute angle with respect to the vertical axis of the pole.

  • Patent number: 7111812
Abstract: A fastening device is disclosed for attachment to a pole without the need for tools and without the need for excessive force to mount or remove the device from the pole. The device has an interior channel that is open along a side of the fastening device. The opening in the channel along the side of the device is defined by first edges that are uniformly spaced apart and contiguous second edges that are angled away from each other, starting with the spacing of the first edges, until their spacing is equal to the diameter of the pole. To mount the fastening device to the pole its top edge with the widest spacing of the second edges are placed against the pole and pushed on to the pole for a short distance before rotating the bottom of the fastening device on to the pole. This attachment sequence distributes the mounting force timewise making it easier to attach or remove the fastening device to or from the pole.
