-
Patent number: 6234328Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustable shelf system having a shelf with a series of tracks. Connected to the shelf is at least one adjustable support bracket. The support bracket is adjustable because it has a series of vertical tracks connected to a series of horizontal tracks. A shelf bar is slidable within these tracks and allows the shelf to be adjusted based upon its angle and spacing from a slotted wall. Display material can be placed on the shelf in a stack and supported by a weighted pusher. The weighted pusher supports these books by sliding within the tracks of the shelf to a front plate. The front plate is designed to support this display material and also stop the pusher from sliding off an end of the track.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 1999Date of Patent: May 22, 2001Assignee: NDR CorporationInventor: Timothy L. Patent number: 5575444Abstract: The invention provides an adjustable shelf bracket having means for making fine adjustments in the attitude of the bracket relative to the supporting surface, which allows the shelf to be levelled both longitudinally and transversely, and substantially facilitates alignment with adjacent shelves. In one embodiment this is accomplished by pivotally suspending a shelf clip from a vertical mounting gusset designed to be hung on the supporting surface, such that the attitude of the clip relative to the supporting surface can be adjusted. Adjusting means such as an adjusting screw engaged in a hole tapped through the clip bears against the mounting gusset to limit the travel of the clip under the weight of the shelf. The position of the adjusting screw thus determines the attitude of the portion of the shelf being supported by the clip.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1995Date of Patent: November 19, 1996Inventor: Martin Otema

Patent number: 4548378Abstract: A shelf and display structure in which horizontal or sloping members (16, 18, 20) are mounted on a vertical element (12) by locking structures (14.1, 14.2, 14.3). Each locking structure includes a pair of arms (28) which are generally triangular in side elevation. Each arm has three grooves in the outer face thereof. The inner face of each arm is generally flat and merges at one end with a rolling surface. When two arms are placed in co-operating relationship with their rolling surfaces in contact, the arms diverge from one another. In this condition they can be inserted into an elongate mouth of the element (12) and the outer ends of the arms can then be pressed towards one another, the arms rolling on their rolling surfaces until the flat rear faces are juxtaposed. During such rolling motion the element 12 is deformed by the arms so that frictional forces are created which resist movement of the locking structures along the element (12).Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1982Date of Patent: October 22, 1985Inventor: Anthony C. Patent number: 4378925Abstract: An adjustable shelf assembly in which the shelf support is both vertically and angularly adjustable with respect to a vertical channel to which the shelf support connects. The shelf support has projections at its base which engage corresponding notches in the vertical channel to form the connection of the two parts. The uppermost projection is double T-shaped and the notches are also T-shaped. The use of a T-shape on both the shelf support and vertical channel provides a rigid and positive connection.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1981Date of Patent: April 5, 1983Assignee: Lingo Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Charles E. Patent number: 4350098Abstract: A test rack for electronic equipment features an improved mechanism for inclining the test rack table in a smooth and effortless manner even when heavily loaded with equipment. Notches provided on a stopper plate are allowed to mate with a stopper shaft by sliding the stopper plate along a guide portion when the table is set at a desired angle of inclination. The stopper plate is constrained to slide at substantially right angles to the stopper shaft at all times so that the stopper shafts engages squarely with the notches to preclude jamming when the mechanism is operated under a heavy load.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1980Date of Patent: September 21, 1982Assignee: Anritsu Electric Company LimitedInventors: Junkichi Shirono, Katsuhisa Honda

Patent number: 4344367Abstract: A modular display system unit for beverage bottles includes a base assembly and at least two spaced apart upright supporting webs detachably connected to the base assembly. A plurality of shelf assemblies are positioned for support between the webs. Each shelf includes a novel top surface sheet to minimize friction forces between the shelf and the bottles to provide a gravity feed capability when the shelves are tilted forward. Brackets are provided for detachable connection to the webs for adjustably supporting the shelf assemblies between the webs at varying heights and angles of inclination with respect to the longitudinal axis of the webs. The webs include an arrangement of keyhole slots, preferably on both sides thereof, but on at least one side, which serve to support the brackets. The arrangement includes a row of central keyhole slots having their axes aligned with each other and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the web.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1980Date of Patent: August 17, 1982Assignee: The Coca-Cola CompanyInventor: Milton J. Patent number: 4314685Abstract: A merchandise base, such as a shelf, is mounted on a supporting column by a device having pins or the like received in vertically spaced holes or recesses in the column. The pins are interconnected by a plate, and at least the upper pin has a radially enlarged head. Both pins interfit with a bracket on the base and the enlarged head secures the bracket against movement away from the column.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1979Date of Patent: February 9, 1982Inventor: Erich Schwan
