Curtain Rod Patents (Class 248/261)
  • Patent number: 5577700
Abstract: A curtain rod mounting device for preventing window molding damage comprising a mounting housing with a front mounting surface, and a top surface and a side surface which depend rearwardly from the front mounting surface so that the three surfaces are in generally orthogonal relationship. The top surface of the mounting housing includes a wall securement flange adjacent to and extending upwardly from at least a portion of the rear edge which defines one or more apertures therein for receiving one or more wall securement elements. One embodiment of the mounting device provides for one or more apertures in the front mounting surface for securing a curtain rod bracket thereto and another embodiment provides a curtain rod bracket as an integral part of the front mounting surface.

  • Patent number: 5520235
Abstract: A new and improved mini-blind slide-on attachment with a tail section having an open lower portion. The open lower portion receives a head box of the mini-blind therein. An inner support section is integral with a front wall of the tail section. The inner section serves to receive end caps of curtain rods therein for hanging a curtain therefrom. A hanger section is integral with a bottom portion of the inner support. The bottom portion has a receiving slot formed therethrough. The receiving slot serves to receive drape hangers therein. Two parallel raised ridges are integral with an outer surface of the hanger section. The two parallel raised ridges serve to receive snap-in hooks that hold curtains with rods in pockets.

  • Patent number: 5263594
Abstract: A section bar for supporting curtains, allowing said curtains to slide, is constituted by at least two portions of section bar united to each other by a juncture element and having a hollow, contoured cross-section with a longitudinal side groove from which sliding support elements for curtain portions protrude. The juncture element has a cross-section complementary to the cross-section of the section bar. The juncture element has end portions which are suitable for being slid into the section bar and a middle portion which is provided, in regions thereof which are opposite to the sides of said longitudinal groove, with a plurality of variously shaped partial-notch-slots, such as to enable the juncture element to be bent according to any desired angles. The juncture element preferably includes, within its body, rigid elements capable of being bent together with the body.

  • Patent number: 4978094
Abstract: Disclosed is a base bracket able to hold multiple curtain rods or the like which generally requires only two screws to securely mount it to a wall or a solid support. The position of the base bracket is designed to be adjustable over a limited distance after mounting. The preferred base bracket includes multiple screw ports which run lengthwise along the base bracket. The screw slots preferably have a slit extending to the outer side of the bracket, to receive a mounted screw, or have an expanded portion which is large enough so that the head of a mounted screw can pass therethrough. The base bracket also includes a groove, preferably formed by a member extending from the upper surface of the base bracket. The groove can accommodate flanges attached to brackets on the curtain rods in order to hold them in place.

  • Patent number: 4961296
Abstract: A curtain rod hanger for mounting between a wall and the frame of a window or door associated with the wall utilizes an elongate portion adapted to be snuggly received endwise and thereby secured between opposing surfaces of the wall and the frame. The elongate portion is plate-like in shape with two opposite flat side surfaces so that when operatively positioned between opposing surfaces of the wall and frame, the opposite side surfaces of the elongate portion engage the opposing wall and edgepiece surfaces. The hanger further includes a rod-supporting portion attached to the elongate portion and of size and shape that when the elongate portion is securely positioned between the opposing surfaces of the wall and frame edgepiece, the rod-supporting portion is in condition for supporting a curtain rod operatively placed thereupon. The rod-supporting means is of such configuration that the hanger can be operatively utilized on either the right-hand or left-hand side of the frame.
