  • Patent number: 10968694
Abstract: The invention relates to a mounting system for an architectural covering comprising a roller and a bearing for rotatably mounting the roller to a holding member. The bearing comprises a length variation member which is biased to be in a first state yielding a bearing length which allows the roller to be held by the holding member, and which can be manipulated into a second state, in which the bearing length is reduced such that the roller is removable from the holding member. The length variation member comprises at least one sloped portion that extends along at least part of its outer circumference and in the first state extends largely or completely outside the roller. The sloped portion is dimensioned such that the length variation member can be urged to the second state by applying a force on the sloped portion in a single direction.

  • Patent number: 10815726
Abstract: Blind assembly comprising a shade material, a winding core and/or a bottom rail, and compensation means. The shade material is attached to the winding core and/or the bottom rail by attaching the compensation means to the shade material in a first condition in which the compensation means extend along a first line with a first shape. The compensation means can be attached to the winding core and/or the bottom rail in a second condition in which the first line has a second shape, different from the first shape. As a result, the shade material is loaded with compensation forces that can counteract any sagging forces exerted on the shade material by the sagging winding core and/or bottom rail.

  • Patent number: 7823620
Abstract: A roller shade mounting system provides a tube-in-tube arrangement for reducing sagging of a roller tube windingly supporting a shade fabric. The mounting system includes a mounting tube received within a roller tube, and first and second annular drive rings located on an outer surface of the mounting tube. The drive rings are secured to the mounting tube and the roller tube secured to the drive rings such that rotation of the mounting tube results in rotation of the roller tube. Each drive ring is located at a distance from an end of the roller tube for limiting sagging deflection of the roller tube. The tube-in-tube arrangement provided by the mounting system provides controlled deflection for the roller tube without necessitating undesirably large increase in the diameter of the roller tube, which could create an undesirable appearance in many roller shade installations.

  • Patent number: 4729418
Abstract: A universal trunnion and bracket system for shade rollers in which the bracket is aligned with the centerline of the roller. The trunnion is rotatably mounted in an end of the roller. A lug, offset from the centerline of both the trunion and the roller, protrudes from the trunnion. The bracket has several (usually three) slots with tapered sides to match the tapered sides of the lug. The roller is mounted to the bracket by lowering the end of the roller until the lug engages a slot in the bracket, the non-circular shape of the lug and the slot preventing rotation of the trunnion with respect to the bracket.
