Abstract: A ceiling mounted electronics device holder that allows a platform to raise or lower via cables to any desired height to allow a person sitting or lying on a bed to have easy access to an electronics device mounted to the platform when so needed, and to cause the platform to raise, via handheld transmitter, into a hollow housing mounted on the ceiling when not in use. The cables are rolled up or down on motorized pulleys located within the hollow housing. Rotary electrical connectors allow the cables to carry electrical current from a charging port located on the side of the platform to the rechargeable battery stored in the hollow housing.

Abstract: A light fixture is configured to receive a module that can add certain functionality to the light fixture and/or alter the way the light fixture is controlled. The light fixture includes a module receiver configured to receive one of a plurality of modules. When a first module is coupled to the light fixture, the light fixture has a first range of functionality dictated at least in part by the functionality of the first module. When the first module is removed and replaced with a second module, the light fixture has a second range of functionality dictated at least in part by the functionality of the second module.

Abstract: An edge lit fixture. A housing provides the basic shape and structure of the fixture. The housing is constructed from discrete segments including lens frames, side frames, and end frames, which can be used in many different combinations to create the desired fixture. The assembled housing defines an open central area. One or more light panels are arranged around the perimeter of the housing such that at least some of the light is emitted toward the central area. The open central area of the housing allows for existing materials, such as a ceiling tile, for example, to function as a back surface of the fixture.

Once the hung luminaire is wired, the installer can readily move the luminaire into a long-term operating position with respect to the bracket and fasten the luminaire to the bracket with a clip or other appropriate fastener.

The first engagement member includes a slide structure and two positioning indentations oppositely disposed relative to the slide structure. The second engagement member includes a slider and two positioning bosses oppositely disposed relative to the slider. The first engagement member and the second engagement member are capable of being correspondingly disposed on an object and a wall. When the slider enters the slide structure from an entrance of the slide structure and is confined to slide relative to the slide structure so as to be blocked at a stop position of the slide structure, the two positioning bosses are embedded in the two positioning indentations respectively so that the object can be fixed on the wall stably. Therefore, the wall mount assembly simplifies the wall-mount operation of the object and provides a stable wall-mount effect.

The locking tube forms a guide block corresponding to an inclined circumferential surface of a cam, whereby when the retained cylinder is driven upward in any orientation to fit into the locking tube, the inclined circumferential surface is guided by the guide block to correct orientation of the retained cylinder with respect to retained cylinder.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for elevated storage of articles including application of a spring clutch winch to provide the required lifting and holding forces. In preferred embodiments, the apparatus includes a spring clutch winch, one or more elongate elements payed out from and, alternatively, wound onto the winch, at least one rotational support supporting each elongate element and a hanger secured to an elongate element end. The article to be stored can be raised by winding each elongate element onto the spring clutch winch and can be lowered by unwinding the line from the spring clutch winch. Use of a spring clutch winch for this storage application provides a highly effective yet simple and cost effective manner of raising and lowering the article and securely holding the article in an elevated position.

Abstract: Generally, the present invention (referred to also as the “suspension system”) is incorporated in a system for suspending an HVAC unit from one or more wood truss members through the use of one or more top lock plates connected to the wood truss, one or more bottom lock plates connected to the HVAC unit, and one or more suspension chains connected between the top lock plates and the bottom lock plates. The suspension system provides a system for suspending HVAC equipment in residential and light commercial applications that is safer, quicker, cheaper, more reliable and more accurate than systems currently in use.

Abstract: A ceiling wire clamp device secures ceiling wire in place in a suspended ceiling system without the need for twisting and/or overlapping the wires. The device comprises a pair of jaws, which may be lined with teeth, that grasp and hold ceiling wire in place when the device is in a closed and locked position. The device may be pinched closed. A tab inserted through a slot on the device assists in locking the device in the closed position. A pin may be used to optimize the overall alignment of the device when in the closed and locked position. The device may be opened using a screwdriver or the like.

The overhead storage system includes a motor connected to a spool unit, a frame supporting the motor and attachable to a ceiling, an extended member extending from the frame, a pulley attached to a distal portion of the extended member, a first cable and a second cable attached to the spool unit with the second cable extending through the pulley, and a support member attached to the distal portions of the first cable and the second cable. The support member is comprised of an elongated structure capable of supporting one or more items such as but not limited to bicycles. A control unit controls the operation of the motor and is in communication with a controller operated by a user for raising and lowering the support member.

Abstract: The suspended bird-feed catcher of the present invention includes a pan suitable for receiving and holding bird feed that falls out of a bird feeder and prevents the bird feed from falling to the ground. The pan is suspended from the same apparatus from which the bird feeder is suspended so the pan can be easily removed without disrupting the bird feeder.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention there is provided a hanger adapted for retaining and hanging objects, the hanger including a ring, at least two upper flexible members having first and second ends, wherein each member is received through an aperture of the ring, the flexible members defining an upper portion of the hanger. Abstract: A lift, a system and a method for elevating a trailer are provided. The lift may have an “A” frame for supporting the trailer. The trailer may be placed on the lift and secured to the lift. A cable attached to the lift is used to pull the lift and the trailer towards a wall. The cable, with the use of a pulley system, pulls the trailer in an upward direction towards the wall such that the lift and the trailer may be elevated in a vertical direction. The lift with the trailer may be attached to the bracket on the wall and locked into place. The lift and the trailer may be removed from the wall by releasing a lock.

Abstract: A two-position vertically adjustable sign system is used for mounting display media to an associated vertically oriented rack or shelf. The adjustable sign system includes a frame having upper and lower frame members for supporting the media. The system further includes mounting brackets for mounting to the shelf or rack. Each bracket defines an opening therein and has an engaging wall that extends from a rear portion of the bracket inwardly of the opening. A slide beam is associated with each mounting bracket, and is fixedly connected to the frame at the upper and lower frame members. Each beam is slidingly received in its respective mounting bracket opening for vertically adjusting the frame between a display position and a storage position. The beams each include an engaging flange extending from a rear portion thereof for engagement with its respective bracket engaging wall to maintain the frame in the display position.

Abstract: A system of suspending a tree includes a hook secured to an overhead support such as a ceiling joist or beam or structure dedicated to this purpose. A swivel is then secured to the hook. A tree grip is secured to the swivel and then to the main leader of the Christmas tree. The tree will then hang plumb due to the force of gravity. Optionally, a pulley may be employed to assist in the raising of the tree. The pulley is secured to the hook by a loop. The tree grip is secured to the top of the tree. A cable is securely attached to the trunk of the tree below the apex of the tree. The cable is threaded through the sheave of the pulley and may be pulled to raise the tree until the tree grip can be attached to the hook. The free end of the cable may then be attached to the trunk of the tree to provide additional security of attachment.

Abstract: A display lifting device is provided which is mounted within a ceiling plenum and is arranged for concealing a support framework, lifting arm and display within the ceiling area. A support arm for the display is pivotally mounted within the framework and is biased in the downward position and supported by a cable mounted on a cable drum drivingly connected to a reversible motor. The support arm comprises at least two telescoping sections with the cable connected to the end of the inner lower most section so that as the cable is extended the arm pivots downward with the telescoping sections extending through gravity to their fullest extent. In this way, the display can extend a considerable distance from the ceiling for viewing by the audience while in the retracted position a very small opening and space within the plenum is required for concealment. Mechanical stops and limit switches are provided at both extremes of the movement of the display and support arm to restrict the angular movement of the arm.

Abstract: Apparatus for hoisting and suspending a pick-up truck cap adjacent the ceiling of a storage structure. The apparatus includes a slotted, aluminum beam and plural lifting straps. The lifting straps are removably secured at two positions on the beam. Plural storage cables are attached to the ceiling of the storage structure and extend around the truck cap. Each storage cable is adapted to be removably positioned on hooks disposed in the ceiling of the storage structure. A conventional worm gear winch and pulley system is provided for hoisting.

Abstract: A device for elevating articles for storage within a garage having a floor and a ceiling structure comprising an elongated, generally horizontally disposed support having hooks positioned thereon for supporting the articles to be stored thereon. A winch is secured to the support for raising and lowering the support from a position adjacent the garage floor to a position above the garage floor so that the articles are stored adjacent the ceiling of the garage to enable the garage to be used for its intended purpose.
