Patent number: 9795220Abstract: A quickly released and fastened adjustment mechanism including a gasket, a first ratchet, a second ratchet, a T-shaped sleeve and a fastener is installed between a sliding member and a fixing member. The first and second ratchets are arranged with annular teeth respectively while the two annular teeth are engaged. The T-shaped sleeve is mounted in the first and second ratchets and against the gasket. The fastener is passed through the T-shaped sleeve, the gasket and the sliding member to be secured on the fixing member. Thus the two corresponding annular teeth are engaged firmly. The height difference between low-level and high-level engagement of the two annular teeth is Hf. The sleeved height of the T-shaped sleeve is D1. The total height of the first and second ratchets in the low-level engagement is D2. D1>D2. D1?D2=G>0 and Hf>G>0.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2016Date of Patent: October 24, 2017Assignee: ATEC INTERNATIONAL TEAM CO., LTD.Inventor: Te-Chun Chen

Patent number: 7731143Abstract: A mounting system for adjustably mounting a flat panel display to a support medium. The system consists of a frame assembly that can be attached to a support medium. One or more adjustable mounts are attached to the frame assembly, and a flat panel display is attached to the adjustable mounts. Each adjustable mount can extend from a retracted position to an extended position in order to tilt the flat panel display and provide an optimum viewing angle to a viewer. As the adjustable mount extends, the center of gravity of the attached flat panel display moves in approximately a horizontal plane, enabling the display to be tilted by a user with a minimum amount of applied force. In some embodiments, a friction assembly is provided to maintain the selected position of each adjustable mount.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2006Date of Patent: June 8, 2010Assignee: Omnimount Systems, Inc.Inventors: Tom Muday, Zachary Eyman, Brett Stenhouse

Patent number: 5582378Abstract: A structure composed of articulated rods extending between a fixed attachment point and a free attachment point for the object to be supported. This structure is extensible in the direction of the straight line joining the fixed attachment point and the free attachment point, and is symmetrical about this line and more or less rigid in directions perpendicular to the direction of extension. The spool rotates about a pin inserted in said structure at a point close to the free attachment point. A cord is connected to a spring for winding up the cord. The cord has one end fixed to said structure close to said line at a point between the fixed attachment point and the spool. The other end of the cord is fixed to the circumference of the spool.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 1994Date of Patent: December 10, 1996Assignee: Industria Fototecnica Firenze S.r.l.Inventor: Giuliano Fusi

Patent number: 4536031Abstract: A back support control mechanism for a chair or the like is provided for a back support movable toward and away form a seat. Adjustable positioning of the back support with respect to the seat in an infinite number of positions in a range of movement of the back support is provided through use of a channel member fixed with respect to the seat and a pressure pad positioned within the channel member and fixed with respect to the back support. The pressure pad slides within the channel member, and a lever is coupled to the pressure pad through a spring plate.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1983Date of Patent: August 20, 1985Assignee: Knoll International, Inc.Inventor: Thomas L. Patent number: 4445660Abstract: An adjustable suspension support having a suspensible vertical cylinder, a coaxial shaft in the cylinder, a brake device on the upper end of the shaft, a grip device carried by the lower end of the shaft with an associated lever, a spacer tube between the brake and the grip, and at least one hanger on the support for holding an object. The brake means has a collar carrying spherical bearings and a plug on the end of the shaft retaining the bearings in the cage. The device is rotatable about its vertical axis and it is adjustable vertically by actuating the lever and exerting an upward force on the grip to release the brake.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 1982Date of Patent: May 1, 1984Inventor: Alexander D. Patent number: 4431108Abstract: A vertical, retracting, tubular clothes hanger support having an outer member secured to an overhead support with an inner member slideably mounted within the outer member. A spring retracts the inner member into the outer member for convenient storage. The outer member at its lower end carries an inward tapered shoulder and the inner member carries at its upper end a complementary outward tapered shoulder. The shoulders provide sliding bearings as the members are telescoped. With the inner member extended fully into its downward position, the tapered shoulders engage into a locked position and secure the members in the extended position. The lower portion of the inner member carries a horizontal cross support that is adapted to receive clothing hangers. Preferably, this support is releasably mounted to the inner member for convenient removal whereby several mounted clothes hangers can be removed in unison by the user.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1980Date of Patent: February 14, 1984Inventor: Ellis M. Lee

Patent number: 4374581Abstract: A vertically adjustable suspension support unit having a vertical cylinder and a brake element slidable in the cylinder. The brake element comprises a pair of collars located coaxially in the cylinder with opposed bevels providing a raceway for spherical bearings, the angle of each bevel being between 35.degree. and 70.degree., preferably 45.degree., with respect to a transverse plane of the cylinder normal to its axis. The collars are connected to a grip and are movable towards and away from one another to clamp or release the brake element in the cylinder, the brake element being axially rotatable while clamped.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 1979Date of Patent: February 22, 1983Inventor: Alexander D. Patent number: 4087085Abstract: An impact deflection absorber and stabilizer for providing an interface between two items, surfaces, etc. permitting regulated and controlled travel (energy absorption) along its longitudinal axis and constraining motion in all other directions. An energy absorbing spring is positioned within a housing comprised of two cylindrical mating surfaces forming a friction surface therebetween. A collar clamp joins the two cylinders together and adjustably controls the amount of friction between the two surfaces thereby providing control of the energy absorbing capability of the device. The clamp also has the effect of strengthening the device along non-longitudinal axes, such that all axes have a resonant or fundamental frequency higher than that along the longitudinal or primary axis whereby the device will yield longitudinally regardless of what direction the forces are emanating from.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1976Date of Patent: May 2, 1978Inventor: Henry K.
