Each of the pivoting members includes a linking portion connected to each of the clamping arms, and a pivoting portion pivotally connected to two ends of the base frame. The pivoting portion includes a device by which the clamping arms capable of being turned to a position and kept in the position.

Abstract: A storage device has a first and second supporting surface. The first and second supporting surfaces are connected to each other by a first riser. The first and second supporting surfaces each have lips. The distance between the lip for the first supporting surface and the first riser defines the storage area on the first supporting surface. The storage device may also have a third supporting surface positioned below the second supporting surface and may further have one or more pockets located on the first supporting surface. The storage device may also have a stationary base wherein at least a portion of the storage device is capable of rotating about an axis.

Abstract: A self-anchoring beverage container with directional release and attachment capability has a flexible nonporous base member adapted to seal to a reference surface and create a controlled pressure zone. A receptacle assembly is mounted to the base member and includes a beverage holding chamber. A communication channel in the receptacle assembly extends from the controlled pressure zone to an area of ambient pressure. A pressure control device on the receptacle assembly is adapted to alternately close the communication channel to seal the controlled pressure zone and open the communication channel to vent the controlled pressure zone to ambient pressure. The receptacle assembly further includes a grasping portion arranged to be grasped by a user. The pressure control device is operatively connected to the grasping portion for actuation to the open position when a user grasps the grasping portion during normal lifting of the beverage container from the reference surface.

Abstract: A speaker holder includes a base with a blocking portion, a restraining plate, and two flanges extending form a same side of the base. The restraining plate is separated from the blocking portion. The restraining plate has an inward restraining tab at an end of the restraining plate remote from the base. The blocking portion, the restraining plate, and the two flanges cooperatively form a receiving space for receiving and restraining the speaker on the base. The speaker can be directly inserted into the receiving space and more easily and firmly fixed therein utilizing the restraining tap of the restraining plate. Therefore, time spent to assemble the speaker is less than the conventional method.

Abstract: A magnetically self balancing pen and base includes a base member housing a disk magnet and a concentric ring magnet having a predetermined inside diameter. The pen assembly has a barrel, an elongated ink cartridge with a magnetically attractable tip, and an annular magnet disposed inside the barrel and around the elongated ink cartridge. The annular magnet is located proximal but separated from the magnetically attractable tip with the end proximal the tip having a polarity equal to that of an upper surface of the ring magnet in the base.

Abstract: Embodiments of cushtop laptop stands and methods of manufacture thereof are generally described herein. An article to support a device comprises a first portion having a first interior surface and a first exterior surface, a second portion having a second interior surface and a second exterior surface, and a third portion configured to couple together the first portion and the second portion. At least one of the first, second, and third portions comprises a cushioning material. In a first configuration, the article comprises a first end of the first interior surface spaced apart from a first end of the second interior surface by a first distance, and a second end of the first interior surface spaced apart from a second end of the second interior surface by a second distance greater than the first distance.

Abstract: Tooling for the injection station of an injection blow molding machine includes a set of individual mounting bracket assemblies that attach an elongated manifold block to the lower die set of the machine. The relatively slender brackets are designed to have minimal thermal contact with the manifold block without sacrificing stability and structural integrity. Standard sizes of the brackets maybe manufactured in advance to accommodate manifold blocks of different lengths but standard widths.

Abstract: A mount for securing an appliance such as a light beam generator to a support or other object at various selected orientations of the appliance. A preferred embodiment of the mount includes a circular element having a wedge-shaped circumferential portion and a plurality of rotationally spaced diametric grooves, and a securement device including first and second opposed surfaces for securingly engaging the circular element's wedge-shaped circumferential portion, the securement device including a bar extending between the first and second opposed surfaces for engaging a selected one of the diametric grooves.

Abstract: In order to enable mounting of a cabinet 1 having a display unit to a supporting base 9, axial members 121 and 131 in the shape of a regular polygonal prism are disposed in the cabinet 1 and fitting holes 91 and 92 into which the regular polygonal prisms can be fitted, respectively, are disposed in the supporting base 9. By opening and then closing, or opening and then moving the axial members 121 and 131, the user can fit or remove them into or from the fitting holes 91 and 92, respectively, so as to mount or demount the cabinet to or from the supporting base. By tilting the cabinet by an angle when fitting the axial members into the fitting holes, respectively, the user can change the rotational attitude of the cabinet 1 with respect to the supporting base. Thereby, the user can use the display unit at different times and at different positions with simple manipulations.

The equipment carriage defines a first locking assembly for selectively locking with the first support base and a second locking assembly for selectively locking with the second support base and is simultaneously engageable with the first and second support bases via the first and second locking assemblies. An actuator is operable to simultaneously unlock the equipment carriage from the first support base and lock the equipment carriage to the second support base.

The caddy is lightweight and may be easily carried from one location to another to assist a golfer while golfing.

Abstract: A device for holding a bucket during the mixing of the contents thereof includes a base plate having an upper face and a lower face adapted to be placed on a supporting surface and a ring-shaped, upstanding semi-flexible wall member extending upwardly from the base plate which together form a generally cylindrical pocket adapted to receive the bucket therein. A foot pedal having an upper portion engaging an upper section of the wall member and a lower portion positioned outwards and downwards from the upper portion is mounted adjacent the wall member such that the foot pedal extends outwards and downwards from the wall member. The foot pedal is operative to have the upper portion be biased downwards and inwards with the lower portion being generally stationary thereby causing the upper section of the wall member to move inwardly towards the bucket and thereby frictionally engage the same.

Abstract: A modular multi-stack fuel-cell assembly in which the fuel-cell stacks are situated within a containment structure and in which a gas distributor is provided in the structure and distributes received fuel and oxidant gases to the stacks and receives exhausted fuel and oxidant gas from the stacks so as to realize a desired gas flow distribution and gas pressure differential through the stacks. The top tray is moveable from an inclined working position to a flat storage position. The top tray has a top base having a lip proximal one end. The bottom tray has a bottom base having a flange extending upwardly proximal one end. The flange and/or the bottom base of the bottom tray has an aperture for accepting the lip of the top tray. The lip of the top tray may engage the top of the flange when the top tray is in the working position to prevent the top tray from sliding towards the opposite end of the bottom tray. The lip of the top tray engages the bottom base through the aperture when the top tray is in the storage position to limit sliding of the top tray toward the opposite end of the bottom tray. In the storage position, the support is readily packed together with the computer in the computer's carrying case.

Then, the elevator, the hand body and the radiator module are moved downwardly to position a pair of right and left positioning members at right and left fender positions, respectively.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for retaining model structural members during construction includes a base member having a plurality of recesses therein, at least one and preferably a plurality of retainers, and advantageously at least one clip having a plurality of edges and at least one arm for holding model structural members between the arm and a corresponding edge. The retainers are releasably received in the recesses and preferably include a lobe with a surface which is eccentric relative to the peg received in the recess. By turning the retainer, a biasing force may be exerted against a model structural member. The clips help to maintain the model structural members in desired orientation while bonds therebetween are cured during assembly.

Abstract: A washing machine base that protects and cushions the washing machine and secures the washing machine transmission or other mechanism suspended below the washer tub during assembly and shipping, even if the appliance is tilted. The base may be formed entirely from corrugated board and comprises a load bearing tray and an insert disposed within the tray. The tray has a bottom panel for supporting the washing machine and side panels connected to and extending upward from the bottom panel. The insert is formed from a corrugated blank that, when folded in accordion fashion, assumes a substantially pyramid shape defining a centrally disposed opening raised above the bottom panel and configured to receive and secure the washing machine mechanism.

Abstract: A pallet system for supporting a load of packages is disclosed. The pallet system is comprised of a plurality of pallet units. Each pallet unit may have a load support portion, a plurality of side portions attached thereto, and a flange portion attached to the side portions. The load support portion is adapted to be placed directly adjacent to the bottom surface of the load. The side portions have openings sufficiently sized to receive forks of a forklift. The flange portion is flexible and extends continuously around the periphery of the pallet unit. A method for supporting a load of packages utilizing a plurality of pallet units is also disclosed.

Abstract: A bracket assembly for supporting medical instruments and the like. The assembly includes a support member formed with lines of vent holes, the vent holes in each line being spaced apart a selected distance. The bracket includes a base strip having a plurality of feet extending down for the base strip, the feet having footprints larger than those of the vent holes and being spaced apart along the base strip a distance substantially equal to an intregal multiple of the selected distance. This allows the bracket to be aligned with a line of vent holes in the support member so that its feet overlie selected ones of the vent holes in that line. A plurality of anchors is provided for anchoring the plurality of feet to the support member at the selected vent holes so that any segment of the base strip between the feet is spaced above the support member so as not to obstruct any underlying vent holes in the support member.

Abstract: An attachment assembly for a personal digital assistant (PDA) includes a first cover portion, a second cover portion and an attachment unit. At a front surface of the first cover portion is formed a plurality of fastening holes to adequately locate attachment arms for holding the PDA. The attachment unit includes an attachment body. A projection piece, an opened ring, a rod and a stopper piece are formed at a first side of the attachment body to mount with to a gear, a lock, a pressing button, a fastening frame, a first short resilient member and a second short resilient member. A slot is formed at a second side of the attachment body to receive the fastening frame and the long resilient member. By pressing down the pressing button, the lock, the gear and the long resilient member interact with one another to achieve the attachment of the PDA.

Abstract: Tool pouch frames support a tool pouch in an upright position and hold tools. The tool pouch frame comprises a U-shaped base, U-shaped upper member, and an inverted J-shaped front member connected to the exterior of the tool pouch by straps with side release buckles. The base ensures that the tool pouch cannot fall over and spill, even when it is heavily loaded. The tool pouch frame also holds frequently used tools in a position where they are easily accessed using rings with hook and loop fasteners. In addition, the front member acts as a convenient carrying handle for the tool pouch.

Abstract: Apparatus for supporting a computer pointing device such as a mechanical or optical mouse or a track ball unit within the footprint of a keyboard. The apparatus supports the pointing device over the keys of a computer keyboard to permit full use of both the pointing device and the keys. The apparatus comprises a platform positionable over at least a portion of the keyboard to support the pointing device and regions formed in the platform to permit manipulation of the keyboard keys through the platform. The regions can be openings through the platform to allow a user's fingers to press the keys directly. The regions can be deformable to permit a user to manipulate the keys underneath the platform indirectly. Alternatively, the keyboard itself can be designed with keys having specially shaped surfaces to support a pointing device.
